Our organization signed up as a business account, and were amazed at how much support our little brand-new non-profit received. The name "Community First" was very evidently the primary consideration in their business, and we noticed and appreciated it every step of the way. We deal mostly with the Richland branch, but the folks over in Kennewick were stellar the one time I stopped in there. They're willingness to treat me so amazingly even with a tiny little account has prompted me to switch all my personal accounts away from a local credit union that spends too much money on marketing. Oh, and they have candy. So enjoy, or beware as the case may be.

I hate that we don't have a branch in my city. I never had a problem with this bank till now. I went in to add some new documents for my account, and all of the employees were what I thought it was a meeting, but no. They were just welcoming a new member to this branch, meanwhile this was at 10 am. And I was not the only one waiting. They had people waiting for a teller and another 3 plus me wait. I just don't know what to do. Changing banks it's hard. Hope they can bring one back to pasco, with the same employees they had, I made with acquaintances.

The tellers here ARE super nice. They've taken care of me when I've needed more-than-ATM service. Lately, they've had a person in the lobby whose purpose is to welcome you, ask how they can help, and make small talk. Yeah, I don't really need this. The lobby in this bank is HUGE! I wonder if this place was something else in another time....perhaps it was the previous Justice League Of America fortress?? I don't know. I was pretty upset, but saw an employee start to walk in, and I yelled out and asked her about what I needed to do. I ended up speaking with Kristin, and she was so very helpful, she took my receipt, and said she would fix this issue for me and not to worry. And within a couple of hours, the issue had been corrected. I've banked with HAPO Community Credit Union for over 15 years. I disputed a charge where a…read moremerchant failed to deliver merchandise and did not issue a refund. Despite providing documentation and my history as a member, HAPO denied the dispute and sided with the merchant. The funds were not credited back to me, and I never received the merchandise. This experience seriously damaged my trust in the institution. Based on this outcome, I cannot recommend HAPO if you expect strong consumer protection when a dispute arises.

Instead of trying to solve the issue and get to the bottom they blamed me for an internal electrical problem on their end. I can find better customer service in a sewer drain. The reps are rude and the higher ups and even worse. Their processing dates day 2-3 days, instead more like a whole week. We have late on several car loan payments because they lie about when the money is in, and they never show you. We can't even try to refinance with another bank because our loan is still 6 months old. If you get placed with this union, don't go with it!
