Last night my boyfriend and I checked into the Chase Suite Hotel in spite of the many horror reviews we read thinking we would end up leaving (we had already paid for it). However, we found the person checking us in to be very nice. She put us in a renovated room that we found to be clean and really comfortable. I loved the "Pur" products. The garden, pool, jacuzzi was nice however, our room didn't have a safety lock that worked. There was nothing to clasp it to. The tub had not been cleaned out completely as there was hair in the drain stopper. The quilt was very thin as was the pillows being flat. The hot water was really hot and the water pressure was great! Fridge and blow dryer were new. One thing to keep in mind that they don't have in writing as far as I could tell. We stayed here last week and it was an ok stay. The location is good, but being a wide open property there were a few homeless people that wandered thru. This caused no issues though. First off, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The management personal might want to step away from their desks once in awhile to see what the customers see. Also, this site indicated they followed Covid protocol but only the front desk personal wore masks. But be aware that the Chase Suite and Hotel website pictures and descriptions were not what we experienced. The free HOT breakfast website picture is a joke compared to the actual breakfast they serve. And warm is more like it. By the time you get to your table the temp is tepid. You had to ask for cold cereal, instant oatmeal and milk. Also there was no fresh fruit our whole stay. The website says that you got a free daily newspaper and there was a social hour in the evening. The front desk person we talked to was almost confused by our asking about these. Neither was available. This Chase Suite site just used stock pictures without delivering the product. Very disappointing Rooms - The porch to our room was a bit dirty with marks where previous residents had put out cigarettes and bird poop. The room size was nice with the bedroom separated from the living space and kitchen by double doors. Those same doors had loose handles and would stick though making it hard not to make a noisy entrance into the bedroom to get to the bathroom. We left it cracked so the person sleeping would not be woken up by the early riser. Me I had to put the closet doors back on their rails and I was glad they were pretty light. The toilet/shower room was VERY tight. The shower: when you started the water the noise was soooo loud. You definitely knew when you neighbors were taking a shower also. Once you pushed that stopper thing to go to the shower head the noise stopped. Water pressure was nice. They only gave you 1 little bar of soap, not 2, to use either in the shower or sink area. Your choice. The living area had a couch with a lounge seat. I had to take pictures of the lounge seat as there were some spots that made it kinda icky to sit on and we did not want to be blamed for putting them there. I showed these to the front desk and they sent housekeeping up to clean them up. Spots for the most part went away. Kitchen - 2 bar stools at the counter and a full kitchen so that was nice. Enough dishes and utensils for 4 and almost enough pots/pans/mixing bowls to make meals. We had to ask for a frying pan and oven tray. Cutting knife was not sharp and there was not cutting board. Otherwise it was easy to make do. 1 night we did make a meal that caused some smoke and found the vent fan was not strong enough to vent the smoke so we had to open the door for a while. Our home vent fan would have had no problem with such little smoke but oh well. We gave this place a 3 star as it supplied a comfortable suite for our needs, the location was good and the staff & pool were nice. Management - get off your rears, eat in your hot breakfast and inspect your property more often. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! because I purchased my room through a third party (hotels.com), when I had an issue with the room they told me to take my concerns up with hotels.com even though my issue was only with their hotel and their management. I tried to get in contact with the manager 5 times (each time leaving my name and contact information with NO call back as promised) before finally speaking with the manager on duty who refused to take responsibility for their lack of customer service and common courtesy. She only kept insisting that I contact hotels.com with my concerns because they are the ones I paid... I have NEVER been treated this way at any other hotel or motel which is why I cannot believe that a hotel with such great amenities would brand their company this way. read more

Do not forget your ID! I chose this venue because of the affordability in having overnight lodging and space for in room presentations. Upon arrival I realized I'd forgotten my ID and the only thing I had with a picture on it was my Costco card. Having booked through a 3rd party site and being in possession of the company credit card as well as my own, I didn't think there would be a problem. There was a problem, they wouldn't allow me to check in without a better form of ID. Being two hours away from home and hosting a presentation at 6pm and one at 8pm going back home or saying forget it weren't options. Had to e-mail my boss for assistance (his credit card and ID) luckily this worked. I wonder if I were dressed better, more friendly and a lighter shade of brown if I'd been treated differently. Next time I'll wear shorts... I'm just kidding, I'll never stay here again. I travel for a living and have forgotten my ID before (I'm getting old) this was the first time it went to the level it did. If I didn't have clients in route I would've walked. The company I was working for in Fremont had a negotiated rate, so I booked here. My room was very large, newly renovated, close to shopping and eateries and convenient to 880. Downside is every road construction crew in the Silicon Valley is apparently staying here and they consume the entire parking lot with their work trucks. My toilet kept running so they sent someone out to fix it, but no bueno. Still ran. The exterior property is not maintained, trash all over the stairs and every night when I came back to my room none of my card keys worked on my door. Not the greatest property, if you are a single, working woman you may want to stick to one of the chains with interior doors. read more

We stayed at this hotel recently for two weeks. The condition of this hotel is pretty bad in general, the bathroom is rather old and water won't drain. The toilet is constantly making loud noises at night. There is no room cleaning service unless you make a request. We only got room cleaned one time through the whole two weeks of staying! The worst part is this hotel is not safe! One of the night the next door guests were partying and shouting with lots of street people all the way to 3:00am in the morning, making tons of loud noise and it was a very chaotic and sacring situation! We requested hotel to send security to help the situation at mid-night and 1:00am in the morning, but obviously hotel didn't stop the partying activities. We should have called police! We do not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel specially you have small children! This is not a family friendly and safe place! read more

Thought this place was going to be great. NOT! I have to say the staff is pretty helpful but maybe that's just my experience. A few things that made our stay bad: 1. Bathroom towels had hair folded in them, and it wasn't mine. Have your staff wear hair nets when doing laundry. It's really gross to find hairs in your "clean" towels. 2. We got a Suite for a reason. So my son could sleep on the pull out couch. When we pulled it out, there were no sheets on it. Had to call Housekeeping to bring sheets, a blanket and pillows. No extras in the closet like most hotels have. Had to make up the couch for my son. Not opposed to doing this but I'm paying for a Suite, had a really long day, and this should have been done already! Btw, I've slept on many pull out couches but this one by far was the worst! This hotels looks nice from the outside but once you walk in, you feel like you are back in the 80's. Nothing is remodeled. It looks old, smells old and has a dusty feel. This hotel is Great! The suites are big and it has a kitchen. I also like the fact that this hotel is convenient to everything, the mall especially is right across the street and the other side has a plaza full of restaurants. I especially chose this place cause it has a foot massage too! Cheap! Right across walking distance to everything! Minus one star because of the dog smell. Cleaning staff is helpful and they are seen busy doing their job and they do a nice job. The apartments have independent outdoor exits so a lot of privacy and breathing space. Safe to keep door (for sometime) and windows open for fresh air and extra ventilation. Spacious people friendly neighborhood with multiple units; almost like any residential apartment complex. Good option for families with kids, for teenagers with adult in charge, for family guests, for people who enjoy friendly social energy (might become a bit noisy for others). Home away from home vibe; good for short and long stays. Close to shopping, entertainment, freeways, restaurants, grocery. Walking friendly neighborhood with nice sidewalks. The Staff: I have so far only been staying at this suite for 2 nights but the staff is exceptional. I had some hiccups checking in (on my part) but they were very understanding, accomodating, and have continuously taken care of me. I am grateful there are people out there who still have good hearts and run their establishments in a manner where it is shown through the service that is provided. The Room: The room is nice. It has an updated kitchen with a refrigerator, full stove (not just the countertop burner), and other standard amenities that you'd expect to see in a suite/hotel. The room is also very spacious and well kept up. The Facility: Everything is kept up very well. I have had no issues with noise or any other disturbances. The rooms are also set up very similar to condos which is a very big plus if you prefer a Suite or Hotel that makes you feel at home. The entrance to the room is on the outside and has stairs and balconies just as a condo would as well. Final Thoughts: Chase Suite Hotel gets 5 stars for its quality of service and well-kept facility. They also accept Apple Pay as a form of payment. read more

Welcome to hell. They serve condom wrappers, nails and pills for your children and fail to provide blankets. Feel like being kept awake until 5 am? No problem there. The front desk will refuse to answer your call and ignores all disturbance policies. Rest assured that the so called maid service will leave your dishes dirty and insist on pounding on your door at 9:30am when you've already asked for a late check out. If all this isn't bad enough, the front desk will promise to compensate but management can't even respond when they say they will or show any measure of customer service when you were kind enough to give benefit of the doubt. Not only will I be posting this here but also on Expedia. BBB and the health board are also on the list. Cons: Pricey- We paid 147 dollars for a king suite. We were awoken in the early hours of the morning, because the people above were up and about and every move they made, we could hear the noise downstairs. The bathroom was in need of upgrades - the tub was very old and had rust on it. They took a deposit upon check-in, and the part that made me anxious was the smoke smell. I called right away upon entering the room, that there is a strong smoke smell in our suite. So the receptionist put a note next to our room. They have a no-smoking policy, but somehow the smell was coming through the bathrooms exhaust. We stayed in building 8. On the ground floor, next to the bedrooms are the A/C units, so you can hear the noise right next to you if yours' or your neighbor's unit is on! Pros It's cozy We used the freezer/ fridge provided. Didn't use the rest of the kitchen. But that could be useful. The keycard used doesn't need to be inserted, just making contact opens the door this helped in loading and unloading our stuff. Breakfast was decent, tater-tots and eggs, the women working couldn't understand English, So I had to ask reception to ask them, if they made the 'eggs with meat' separate from the 'only eggs. Reception told me unconvincingly that they were cooked separately. read more

This place is infested with roaches. Stayed one night and saw at least 10 roaches throughout the day and night. I went and brought bug spray and they were still coming out. Only left was to smash them. I didn't ask for a different room because i figured all the rooms had roaches. I honestly should've packed up and left. Chase Suites has turned into the biggest joke of a hotel in the entire Bay Area! Do NOT stay there! Run away as quickly as possible! A year ago the Chase Suites was a nice place to stay. Today they have effectively rented out the entire hotel to contract workers with oversized utility vehicles. EVERY PARKING SPOT IN THE ENTIRE HOTEL IS FILL BY 4PM WITH OVERSIZED SERVICE VEHICLES THAT HAVE NO BUSINESS IN A NORMAL SIZED VEHICLE PARKING SPOT. Many of them never move and just take up spots. These workers also use the same cones meant to de-mark a work zone to save their favorite parking spots. It's bad enough they park gigantic, ridiculous vehicles but they also coordinate blocking out all the good spots with surely illegal cones. So basically if you work a normal day and come back to the hotel your lucky to get a spot within a 1/4 mile of your room. And good luck with the maid service! Lol! Do you actually like to have a cup of coffee in the morning? Well among the things I've seen here over the last months are - coffee NEVER replaced, multiple days with no room service at all, no toilet paper (I actually went and bought my own!), rooms with no temperature control, no dishwasher soap, blood trails on the carpet, buggers on the bathroom walls........ This hotel has gone steadily down hill over the last year and I will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! There are NO REWARDS!! THE ONLY REASON THIS HOTEL MADE ANY SENSE TO STAY AT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS A BIT CHEAPER! ...and in my case fairly close to my work.... Well new management has evidently come in and taken away the one perk this place ever had! DO NOT STAY AT THE CHASE SUITES. RUN AWAY. FAR AWAY! read more

I was seriously creeped out by this hotel. I was traveling alone and did not feel safe. I checked out a night early. The crowd was rough, the paths were not well lit (especially on the borders), and after requesting a nice location on the property I was placed in the most remote one in the back next to sheds, a dark poorly paved parking lot next to a liquor store. I should have known there was something fishy about this place when they charged me an additional 2x for my reservations and then gave me a hard time trying to get a refund. My relatives stayed here for 3 days and had jewelry and a digital camera stolen from their room. I was appalled by my experience there at the Chase Suites. First off, the managers were rude and unhelpful during check in. I booked my stay online on hotels.com and when I went to check in the front desk person said that they didn't have my reservation. I asked if they could call hotels.com to verify since the reservation was already paid for in full and they said they could not do that for me....so I went back out to my car to call hotels.com myself and they called Chase Suite Hotel to verify my reservation. After that I went back in to the front desk to check into my room. At this point, which was maybe a seven minute time span from being in there previously, they acted as if they didnt know me and as if I wasn't just in there...mind you, it was not a busy day there at all and I was the only one in the lobby.....RUDE! Next, there was a security deposit that I had to put down to get my room....I would usually be fine with that but when the manager told me "Well, if you were staying at the Hilton you'd have to put down $500 in order to keep your room" I responded back with "If I was staying at the Hilton theyd have better costomer service manners." Finally after checking in and dealing with the rude front desk people I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was spacious and fairly upkept. On my final day there at about 11am (check-out is at 12noon) there is a knock at my door and standing ther ewas a woman telling me that I had to check out. I told her that check out was at noon and she said that it was already noon. I held my cell phone up to her to show that the time was 11am and she grumbled under breath and said to check out by noon. I stayed here a total of two nights and was planning to stay another, but after my horrendous experience, i gtfo'd. The cleaning lady came after the first night and accidentally threw away my retainer, which was on top of a tissue paper. I called the front desk and told them about the situation, and the lady told me she would go talk to the manager. The lady literally called me back 5 minutes later and told me the manager had checked all the trash cans and the cleaning lady's cart and could not find the retainer. Wait... you checked all that trash in less than five minutes? Liar. my next major complaint is that thee rooms are absolutely disgusting. i'll post pictures for you to see. In the bathroom, there is mold from water sitting on the wood too long. The wood is chipping and the wall paper is ripping off the wall. The shower curtains are stained and look like they have not been washed or changed in three years. I can usually forgive a budget hotel for not being anything but budget. But not this time. 1. The decor and fabrics are in serious need of updating. 2. The beds are king, but the pillows are like flat lifeless thrift store pillows. 3. The internet may be free but it hardly worked the entire time we were here. I called the front desk about it twice and they said they weren't getting any reports of problems, and asked ME to call their ISP to ask them to handle it. (Me, the guest who is paying for a room with internet.) Internet speed (when it worked at all) grade: F According to speedtest.net: Ping 68ms, Download 0.08Mbps, Upload 0.46Mbps. 4. The hotel may be non-smoking, but don't let that fool you. The several rooms our employees had all smelled like smoke. It's no wonder. They tell you that you can smoke on the porch, so everyone stands in front of their open doors with hotel-provided ash trays and smokes. 5. The breakfast is free and it should be. Tiny styrofoam dessert plates? Nice touch. 6. The fan in the bathroom (attached to the light so you can't turn it off if you want light) sounded like a metal stick being dragged across a wall of corrugated tin. 7. Daylight Savings Time was a week or more ago, and none of the clocks were set to the correct time. 8. Super noisy from both the traffic on the street and the truck-driving beer-drinking pot-smoking loud-talking neighbors (all around us, upstairs and down...as well as their booty-call girls who came slur-cursing up the stairs at 1am). It's alright. You could definitively do better with the other suites on Cedar, though . The rooms are state of the art, for 1985. The furniture, carpet, and CRT televisions all show this. There are two TVs, one in the living room and another in the bedroom. The remotes for these TVs work for both, which can get annoying at times. There is a sofa bed, two chairs, and two bar stools in the living room. In the bedroom, there is a large bed and a chair. There's also a fireplace, but I never used it. I saw spiders in the living room, several times. The kitchen is functional, with most of the utilities you will need to cook. Make sure the dishwasher is locked at all times, it has a tendency to swing open violently. The ice maker in the freezer is complete garbage. You'll get one cube of ice a day, if you're lucky. The bathroom is significantly worse than the rest of the apartment. It's very small and crummy, but functional. Room service stops by every couple of days. Nothing to complain about with that. There is decent free breakfast buffet every morning. Don't assume you can say past the time breakfast is supposed to end, they kick people out and leave as soon as they can. There's also some kind of post-work social hour, but I never went to that. There isn't too much to do in the surrounding area. It's in between a high school and a mall. On weeknights, there seem to be shady characters hanging out in the parking lot, but you shouldn't expect trouble. Overall, you can probably tolerate staying here, but you'll be excited to leave. read more

The rooms are a good size and it's nice to have a full kitchen. They should update the decor to a more modern design. The housekeeping starts at 8am and was so rude and she banged on my door so hard I thought the door was going to fall off! Usually they would leave after first two tries but my housekeeper stayed and continued to beat my door for another 10 times then she came in and couldn't open the door because I had the lock flipped over so she left. I called and asked for a late check out for the next day and the front desk told me it's 12pm for a late check out. Then after I hung up the phone I happened to read the paper on the desk and it said regular check out time is noon!!! So I called back and asked what was the latest check out since she said it was noon and that wasn't accurate.. and the lady sighed and said fine she will give me till 1pm!!!! I really tried to like this place but it is extremely outdated, outmoded and tired. The hotel looks good on paper. A hotel suite with space and room to spread out at a good rate. A kitchen and living room separate from the bedroom. Once you arrive you will see and hear the old bathroom fixtures and the noisy incessant fan that comes on when you turn on the lights. At 4:00am in the morning in quiet stillness you really don't want to hear that fan. They say they have WI-FI but that was sadly slow or nonexistent. We could not use our streaming set top boxes on the TV. Now I see why the receptionist mentioned the DVD library I should browse. That breakfast buffet consisted of powdered eggs, canned fruits, I am not sure what some of the items were, I lost my appetite. If they did a major remodel of this hotel and put in a real kitchen serving real food, I would return. I liked the free parking in front of the unit and location. read more

This place sucks and management doesn't care. Its like they want this place to shut down. This place didn't have our rooms ready at check in. They didn't give us any room service for our 3 rooms for 2 nights. Our hotel rooms were given to us filthy. I told management verbally and emailed them as well, but they don't care. They charged us the full price. I am going to have to talk to someone higher up to see how they feel about their service. Stay tuned... read more

As fancy as this place tried to be, it just couldn't pull it together. It says it is a non-smoking hotel, however the room smelled of cigarette smoke. The refrigerator was old and rusty and my DVD player or phone didn't work. Do you know hard it is to have an DVD player that is not working when your 2 year old wants to watch cartoons? The DVD player is one of the main reasons I reserved this room. Regular hotels put a $100 hold on your credit card for incidentals, this place puts a $250 hold. At check in the woman was rude and snotty. When I checked out another younger girl was nice, friendly and understanding. Pool was nice, location was nice. All in all it's ok for a quick trip. But I wouldn't stay anything over 2 nights. read more
