We did a video call so they can give an estimate, we never received an estimate. The movers came to pack move and unpack. They didn't know they were supposed to be packing/unpacking. I had to call and confirm instead of them. They left my front door wide open and never turned the gate back on so if I hadn't gone back for cleaning supplies my door would've been left open over night. When I told the only guy who spoke English he said "I wasn't the last one out" no apologies just a lazy answer. They never unpacked properly. I started unpacking the kitchen, so they had an idea of where things went. They didn't try, they just unpacked random stuff and threw it in places. Appliances were disassembled which could have easily been put together. My cake stand was in two thrown on the counter top with a box over the glass in an unsafe manner. They said they were scheduled to come back tomorrow and when I called to complain about how the place left they said the job was done and I should've said something before they left. I told them they should leave instead of waiting for me to return after picking up my daughter they told me had to pay. Which understood I'll pay for the day, but the packing job was not done. These are scammers. It's been a long time since I dealt with a business like this but this one beware.

I had rented a UPACK trailer to move my things and they were told to come out here to load up all the boxes that I already packed myself and some furniture. José, who is the business owner and Chase, who is one of the workers and a third worker who I don't remember the name of, but i do remember had a spine tattoo showed up to my house to complete the job. First of all I moved just as much if not more things out of my house then they did so I did not have the opportunity to stand over the man (spine tattoo) who was packing the trailer and watch what was going on, but they assured me they were professional, they do this on the daily basis and they know exactly how to pack the trailer. So I said ok. I provided five ratchet straps two of which I had to send my friend out to go buy as soon as they got there just so I could assure we had enough. I also provided my own shrink wrap as they showed up with a less than half used role and quoted me $25 per each shrink wrap roll. Further more because this load was not going on their truck they did not utilize any of their own blankets so I gave them literally every single towel out of my house and every single throw blanket out of my house to cushion my furniture and my breakable things. I had boxes that I explained to them had my great grandparents crystal collection and were very fragile / very breakable and almost every single piece of that was broken due to the negligence on the companies part of stacking boxes under heavy furniture. They also didn't even care to ratchet strap the heaviest things in : my king size bed, my washer and dryer that were at the very back of the load (by bulkhead doors) so I had to open the bulkhead doors on the trailer climb in there myself and strap them in - there were still two unused ratchet straps hooked to the wall. But everything was loaded, and I couldn't exactly see how it was loaded until the trailer got shipped to my new house, and I took the bulkhead doors off again and started unpacking things. To my disappointment I found almost every single box either dented or damaged due to the way they stacked it in the truck. My cat tower that's less than a month old was completely broken. My great grandparents Crystal collection and porcelain collection was almost all broken. I have a brand new king size bed that I've had for less than eight months that has huge scrapes on it. I have a TV stand that has a whole chunk out of it. I have a TV that's literally broken. The list goes on. Of course I was furious and left a very urgent and unkind voicemail to the buisness number I had for them and chase, one of the workers called back and tried to immediately blame it on whoever unloaded it, when I explained it was me and my family and we FOUND them that way, he tried to blame it on the company that shipped the trailer, once he realized I was not gonna be BSd or let it go he offered me 500 bucks, I said I haven't even finished unpacking and counting up what's damaged so let me do that first and I'll call back. 2 days later I tried to call back and got nothing. A day later after another voicemail was left jose the owner called back and said that they pretty much weren't responsible and that I signed the form and tipped them at the end so I couldn't have been that unhappy with the service, I explained how I didn't know then of course that the MAJORITY of my things were damaged so of course I tipped. I also provided MULTIPLE water bottles and sweat rags and even let them hose themselves off in my yard. Moving forward I was contacted again- this time by Jose's wife and was told she had looked over the agreement and wasn't sure what she could do for me but if I had proof/pictures/any documentation she would be open to reviewing it. I emailed her all the photos that are attached below and got radio silence back. I waited a few days and attempted to get in touch again via phone call and nobody would pick up, I texted them and communicated that an email was sent with proof of all the damages - still radio silence. I waited a few more days today. I texted and said if I didn't get contacted I would be leaving a very ugly review. REVIEW SO LONG CHECK PHOTOS FOR FULL STORY!!!

They came in a truck that was too small (a Budget Rental) after having already seen the 2-bedroom apartment we were moving from. We ordered boxes from them so they should have anticipated the amount of items. Because of the smaller truck, there had to be two trips. They arrived at 9 in the morning, and it took FOUR hours to load the first time. There was one flight of stairs, but our apartment is on the end close to the parking lot so there was not a lot of walking needed. They were just moving very slowly, not very efficient at all. At times, the guys were taking only one thing at a time even when they had three dollies. Then it took THREE hours to unload. I agree that the elevator was further at this place and there were a couple of other movers the same day, but there was a staircase much closer that went unused, presumably, because we were paying hourly and they were in no rush. Then for the second trip it took another TWO hours to finish loading the remaining stuff, just the bedrooms' furniture. And then another TWO hours to unload. We asked for a morning time slot so that we could finish up by the afternoon, so we could clean the old place and begin unpacking. However, they didn't finish until 9 PM! A full twelve hours later. When we confronted them about how long it took, we were told this was common for a 2-bedroom apartment. That is absurd when a uHaul rental only lasts four hours. I have moved myself in far less time, and this was three men who are supposed to be professional movers! I am not sure what the issue was. Maybe it was that we were in the morning and they had no other appointments, so they took their time? Or perhaps it was the fact that two of them seemed new, because they just kind of hung around until the third guy told them what to do. Or maybe that is just their business model, quote a low price and make it up (and much more) in moving slowly. At the end of the day, everything was kind of just dumped into the new place. They did ask us if we wanted them to arrange it for us, but they had already charged us 11 hours! They told us they would take a lunch break after the first trip and would stop the clock accordingly. However, during lunch time, we, the clients, were asked to go get lunch for them so they could keep working. We were happy to do so, but they still took a lunch break. That was fine, but what was annoying was that they didn't even reduce the time until we reminded them at the end. They don't have uniforms and they use rental trucks (of the wrong size). I will never use these guys again and do not recommend them to anyone unless you have very few things or things that are so fragile that you need slow speed. At the end of the day, I am left feeling like I was scammed. I don't think they were standing around, but they were hardly professional, efficient movers.

During my recent move, I decided to give them my repeat business. Huge mistake. You get what you pay for. They quoted $110 per hour plus $70 admin fee, minimum 2 hours. That was fine. However, when they showed up, they advised that they charge $15 per roll for shrink wrap. I was in agreement with using the shrink wrap and blankets but they advised they were not sure how many rolls they would use. Then it was changed to 3 rolls. I've used movers in the past and they have always included shrink wrap and blankets in their pricing. However, I've also seen how the shrink wrap is used and 3 rolls is grossly overestimated. I've included a picture of the shrink wrap roll for reference. After signing for them to start the job, a never ending agreement about the number of shrink wrap rolls they would use, and the clock already ticking, I agreed for them to move forward with the additional $45 scam. Instead, they went outside, spoke amongst themselves and someone on the phone and advised that they would not be completing the job and left. I called the primary phone number and spoke with the owner who advised me that I should have accepted the scam pricing from the beginning and then disconnected the phone call. Cancelling a job because you don't want to be called out for overcharging for shrink wrap that should be included in your job is ridiculous. Moving is stressful. To walk out on someone during a time like that is not someone that deserves your business. The bright side is that I had another moving company's card on my door. I contacted them and they were available in the late afternoon. They ended up coming a few hours earlier. The price included the shrink wrap and blankets. They completed a HUGE job in 2.5 hours. I paid more per hour and tipped the 3 movers well. The fact that Astros Moving Company attempted to ruin my day over $45 is ridiculous. They would have made much more than that in tips and repeat business. Edit as of 05/09/25. In response to the owner. I NEVER advised them that I did not have the money to pay the ridiculous $45 for three rolls that were clearly not going to be used. After agreeing to disagree, I actually advised them to move forward. They chose to walk away instead. Not only did I pay more than the $45 with the other moving company, I tipped them generously. In business, some things are about the principle, not the money.
