The Avocado Vinaigrette Appetizer is my favorite. Impeccably plated and so delicious!!!

The ambience is so special. Warm, cozy, relaxing & beautiful. The food is stellar and the prices are very reasonable for this 1st rate restaurant. Always my favorite place to go for dinner.

I just got done licking the last remnant of my left over dinner that I spent last night dreaming about having for breakfast. The food was the best meal I have had out in recent memory.

Tiramisu cake..delicious. Not too sweet..just perfect

I just got done visiting Chateau Hathorn with my wife for our 22nd wedding anniversary and I could not be happier with the restaurant I picked. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a staff member that checked for our name on the reservation list and then escorted us to our table. As you can see by the pictures I posted, every aspect of our meal was delicious! The menu is diverse with something for everyone I think and the special menu was unique and full of delicious choices also. On top of the excellent food, the service we received was impeccable. Sally was our server and she knew the menu inside and out and had such a great personality and demeanor that we felt like we were at home. The support staff of Alex and Natalie were very attentive, professional and congenial. Chateau Hathorn is lucky to have these three employees! They knew when to approach the table and when not to. The level of service and food is on par with any restaurant in NYC. Thank you Chateau Hawthorne for delivering a perfect dining experience to us on our anniversary!

I ordered three tacos: Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Pollo, and they were a delightful feast for the senses. Each taco was hand-crafted with care, served on a fresh corn tortilla. The Al Pastor was beautifully seasoned with just the right amount of spice, while the Carnitas offered a tender, savory experience. The Pollo was juicy and packed with flavor, making it hard to pick a favorite. The salsas truly enhanced the experience. The salsa verde provided a zesty kick, while the smoky salsa added depth that complemented the tacos perfectly. Topped with onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, and crema, every bite was an explosion of flavor. To wash it down, I enjoyed a refreshing glass of horchata, which paired wonderfully with the savory tacos, balancing everything out nicely. The atmosphere at TACORIA was vibrant and inviting, with friendly staff who made the dining experience even better. If you're looking for delicious tacos in Ridgewood, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

I ended up getting the Lechon large plate instead and it was also so good! If I had to choose, I'd probably put the Half & Half jerk chicken & pork large plate above this one but it's a hard choice. To go I also ordered an order of their Mac & Cheese, the sample I got last week really had me hooked. I saw that they also had a new empanada - pineapple and cheese. Wow, that was also such a cool and tasty item. Would be good for the meatless eaters. Lastly, I had another one of the fresh juices. This time they had Soursop Kaffir Lime Tea, so unique and refreshing. I can't wait to go back again.

Jamaican-Filipino fusion might just be the most extraordinary combination out there, and we're incredibly lucky to have something this special in Metuchen--truly one of a kind. Such a welcoming space too, super cute. The meats are impossibly tender, literally falling off the bone, and the sauces are rich, vibrant, and deeply flavorful. Every bite was bold, perfectly balanced, and downright addictive. We ordered the jerk chicken, mango with plantains, and the cheese lumpia--and I'm still dreaming about it. I will absolutely be back. Please consider serving halal chicken so I can bring my parents along to experience this gem!! Also, the owners, Damion and Jeanne, are some of the most warm, genuine, and hardworking people you'll meet. Most of the dishes had some sort of spice, very limited non spicy options. They pre make the base sauce so the spice level is not adjustable. We ordered a lot of the dishes from the menu starting with corn chaat and samosa. Corn chaat didn't really have corn, it was more like corn flakes with tomatoes and onions. The dish was blend, it needed some dressing sauce or yogurt on top to make it tastier. Samosa had good potato fillings, came with green and tamarind chutneys. For entree we got the chicken tikka masala, chicken korma with rice, naan and garlic naan with Amul cheese. Tikka masala was super delicious, thick spicy sauce. I was so glad to see chicken was moist not dry. Korma was a good too. The rice was cooked with jeera, had wonderful aroma. Both naan were excellent, loved the Amul one especially, it was so cheesy. We had the brownie ice cream for dessert, was a yummy one too. The mango lassi was also good, was on the thicker side. All our dishes came out so quickly, almost seemed like they had everything ready to go in the kitchen. It's semi self-served, plastic forks, spoon, knives and plates are next to the register. They serve the dishes in to go boxes, so very easy to pack any leftovers, just need the lids. Overall we loved the food and the atmosphere. Glad to see a good Indian restaurant establishing itself in the area.

The menu marked all the spicy level for each item, which was very helpful for me (I don't eat spicy food). I tried chicken korma with naan. It's creamy and flavorful. Naan was buttery and fluffy. Samosa was good, came in 2 pieces; little spicy for me. Mango lassi with strong mango flavor and good yogurt base. The only thing I didn't like was corn chaat. It's corn flakes (?) with chopped onions, tomatoes and chutneys sauce. The corn flakes really threw me off. Tables and seats inside for dine in. Spacious with history of the restaurant on the wall. Bathroom is clean. Overall a solid place for quick Indian food. Nice and attentive staff. Great customer service and interactions.
