Just finished a week long vacation here and am extremely disappointed. The most urgent and upsetting part of our stay is with respect to guest health and safety: when returning from dinner last Friday, we found housekeeping doing turndown service in our room with NO MASK on. This was the second time I saw housekeeping in a room with their mask pulled down. We called to report the incident, to which we were told a manager would reach out to us, but 5 days later that still hasn't happened... To make matters worse, I discovered through a news search yesterday that that same day (Friday), the hotel was notified of a hotel employee who had tested positive for COVID. Not only did we never receive communication about the presence of COVID at the hotel while we were staying there, but they did not respond to our report of housekeeping without masks INSIDE of our room on the same day that they found out another employee tested positive for COVID? Pretty disturbing. Beyond that, the overall quality of the stay was extremely disappointing given how much we were paying for our room each night. We were paying for what should've been top service (over $1K per night), but instead we experienced 45 minute waits to be seated for breakfast, no beach side drink or food service (I had to wait for a table at the beach side restaurant and then sit and order just to get ONE drink to bring down to the beach with me), amongst other disappointments. The welcome when we checked in was also very subpar. The best thing about this hotel is the view from the ocean side cottages, the free coffee in the morning, and the room service, but you can find both of those at other hotels. We went to dinner at the nearby Wequasset hotel one night and experienced a true 5 star hotel experience in our time there: incredibly gracious staff, delicious food, and a beautiful resort - room prices are essentially the same as at Chatham Bars Inn, but you get way better quality for what you pay. I'll be staying there next time I'm in Chatham and I recommend you do the same. read more

First--the staff are very nice and welcoming. But....CBI claims they are a premier spa experience. Unfortunately , the total opposite . From the fine details like fake flowers everywhere to stained carpets and a hot tub that needs immediate reglazing for fear you might get hepatitis. The prices they charge are astronomical for the very mediocre service(s). The staff is so nice. However, do not expect estheticians or massage therapists of any real caliber. It's the Cape--not known for the best talent. This is no Mandarian Oriental --yet they have the same prices. Do yourself a favor--skip the spa--take a day trip to Boston and get the 'premier spa experience' you are looking for. Even the products are not of high caliber. Extremely disappointing!! read more

Unfortunately it is impossible currently to purchase a gift card at Chatham Bars Inn. I am trying to get one for a Mother's Day gift and the online service is broken. When I call, the reservations agent tells me that they use the same feature and are having the same problem. When I then am connected to accounting, no one picks up or returns my voicemail. I just got off the phone with the customer service rep who said there is "nothing she could do" and "doesn't know who to ask" for help. When I was about to ask to speak to a manager, she abruptly said "have a good day" and hung up. I feel abandoned in this effort and like it is unnecessarily difficult to give the business my money. Posting here to warn others not to go down this days long rabbit hole.... if a manager is reading this and would like to help- I'd be grateful. read more

So sad to say how disappointed I was in our stay. I lived on Cape Cod for years and was so excited to bring my fiance to the Cape after talking so fondly about it for the last two years. So much was disappointing about this stay and it's hard to know where to begin. Starting at check in- we waited about 30 minutes to check in with the clerk. There was only 1 person working the desk and once we finally got to her, she interrupted us multiple times to answer the phone, not to put the person on hold which would be normal and fine, but to talk with them each for several minutes and answer any and all requests/questions they had while we waited in silence. Keep in mind, we are paying $1300 a night to stay here and after staying at multiple high end resorts over the years, I've never seen this poor of front desk service before. Dining- it was not possible for us to eat at the resort. Meaning it was apparently a two week wait to get a reservation....at a restaurant at the resort we were paying thousands of dollars to stay at. We weren't even allowed into any of their restaurants to get a drink- I'm being 100% honest about this. No apologies or accommodations were made- just a really rude young girl telling us we weren't allowed in. They open up all their restaurants to the public, they don't save any seats for resort guests. So the next best thing we thought would be to have the concierge find us a place in town to eat. They didn't return a phone call for 3 hours, and when they did, the woman said "I might have a reservation available at Del Mar (in town), I will call you back in 15 minutes". She never called back. Checkout- At checkout, we saw a $280 charge from one of the resort restaurants that we did not eat at (as it was not possible to even eat there when we wanted to). We were on Nantucket at the time the charge was made and were assured that the charge would be removed. It was never removed. I called the resort three separate times requesting a call back to fix this charge. Nobody ever called me back- again, I am being 100% honest about this. On my fourth attempt, I was connected to a voicemail in the finance department and left somewhat of a demanding voicemail for a call back and immediate credit made to my account. The next day, a woman from that department called me back and the problem was fixed. Apparently, there was another guest with our same last name staying at the resort and it was accidentally charged to our room. I understand errors happen, but they need to be fixed and acknowledged by the employees when it's recognized. We felt very dismissed and they obviously hoped we would forget about it and drop it, which I believe is fraud. There was just a general un-welcoming feeling there. When we passed by employees in the hall, they didn't say hi or even acknowledge us. The exception to this are the young guys working at valet- they are very friendly and helpful. There is no diversity at the resort- every person there was older and white, many were insufferable. I would definitely suggest staying at the Wequassett if you are wanting a stay at a higher end resort on the Cape. I have stayed there several times and the service was incredible. read more

My boyfriend took me to the Chatham Bars Inn for the weekend as a 30th Birthday present. I love the Cape, on and off season so I was already pretty excited to just be getting out of the city to relax for a few days. I had never been to the Inn before, so i was excited to check it out during the quiet season. I go to the beach on the cape enough over the summer so i didn't really feel like i was going to lose out on any of the charm. When we pulled up i instantly was in love. The main building looked so cute all lit up at night. My boyfriend went inside to check in and i waited out front in the car. He was back pretty quickly so the front desk service appeared to be speedy. We pulled around the next street to where our room was, and to my excitement it was right next to the Spa! He had booked us one of the spa suite rooms that i had secretly been gushing over when i went to their website. 1000+ boyfriend points! The room was split by a wall with a cozy gas fireplace. On one side, the two queen size beds, TV chairs and side table, flat screen LG TV mounted above the fireplace, bay windows over looking the outdoor spa area with a breakfast nook table, and sink/minibar station with a complimentary espresso machine. Also, of course, were slippers and terrycloth robes that certainly got their use over the weekend! The other side of the room was the spa area with a double sink, GIANT jacuzzi tub, giant shower/steam room combo with two shower heads, pumps with L'Occitaine shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel (which doubled as bubble bath), and a sauna. All three of which were used to their full potential over the next 2 days. There was no ice machine in this area of the resort, so we had to call room service for ice each time. They were very prompt on their service, even for the time we had to request a new glass after accidentally dropping one on the tile floor. whoops (sorry!). We did not dine at the establishment, but we did get a cocktail at the bar before heading out to main street for some food and drinks. Service was good, atmosphere was cute and the bartender was helpful in telling us places that would still be open during the off-season. It was a wonderful room, wonderful stay, and an all around amazing birthday present! I would recommend the spa suites to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend with a huge dose of private luxury! read more

This has the price of a 5 star and the quality of 2 star. (Due to the dining) The Room = A+, great bed, more like a condo as far as space, great amenities, the coffee machine was premium and better than at the restaurant. Plenty of space for my belongings with nice Cape Cod style decor. View of the ocean with a great balcony to have coffee, wine or a cigar! The TV reception was terrible but if you are at a resort on the ocean to watch TV you have other problems. Staff = B+ Bell Staff great! Front Desk Staff great at check in PM staff not real friendly and receptive. Cell Phones... Everywhere I turned was a staff member sneaking in a cell phone call. By my room, behind bushes, etc... Not a huge deal but have a break area for your team! Waitstaff at Lunch - this was their "B" team. Understaffed at the Beach House lunch area. Food took forever. Not really organized. Good food running teamwork but mostly chaos. Waitstaff at Dinner - condescending! Not flexible to guest's needs. They are almost conditioned that the Inn has a system and the guests have to conform to it. The 5 star atmosphere they try to portray at dinner is a copycat to fine dining. Breakfast Staff - Awesome... On top of every 1/2 cup of coffee. Clearing plates, eye contact 100%, smiles, greetings... Well done Housekeeping - decent, rooms clean! Food For the price "C" = lunches offered no smaller soup or salad portions as starters. They force your hand to order big. Chowder was great and about 1/2 of the menu items were decent but ridiculous prices. If you expect to charge those prices it should be spot on and timidly. Lunch in general was slow and mediocre. Dinner = 2 Star at 5 star prices. $58 Veal Chop... Waiter recommended a specific sauce and it was boring. The menu is written to impress but the food is equivalent to $20 entrees not $45 plus. We caught striped bass on a charter fishing trip and they agreed to make an appetizer out of it. When we arrived for dinner they knew nothing about it. They threw something together and it was tough. We just caught it and it should have been like butter. Overall the dinner and the value was not good. I was on a business sales trip so it didn't bother me as much but if I was with my wife on a nice getaway I would have been pissed. Along with the prices came some condescending attitudes of the waitstaff. Beware because they add gratuity and don't mention it for large groups and my boss doubled tipped until he figured it out. Breakfast best meal of the day. Besides watery eggs the rest of the buffet is excellent. I enjoyed elements of this Inn but I will never pay my own money to stay here. read more

I came here on a Saturday evening with my friend and her mom for drinks and apps. I'd recommend coming here just because the place is very stunning. However, try to sit on the veranda. We sat on the side patio, which is further from the veranda and ultimately the kitchen, so the service was not good and super super slow. OVERVIEW: -Very beautiful place with great views. -Upscale beach vibe. Definitely dress nicely. -Come with friends, family, or a date. SMALL PLATES: *We shared a few small bites instead of each getting our own entrees. -Goat cheese, peach flat bread pizza with arugula: this was delish! I recommend getting this to share. -Tomato and mozz with balsamic: this was good, but nothing special. I've had fresher tasting tomatoes and mozz too (not that it didn't taste fresh!). It just felt like I could easily prep this myself: grape tomatoes and mozz balls in a bowl - not presented in any special kind of way. -Cheese and Crackers: this came with 4 different types of cheeses with figs, a jam, grapes, and crackers. This was good and a solid app if you are wanting a bit of cheese. DRINKS: -Old Fashioned: Not a good Old Fashioned, in my opinion. They muddle the fruit and cherries and it was just a bit messy for me. They masked the flavor of the whiskey with the fruit, which is never a good thing. No muddling of fruits please! SERVICE: -So slow. We had to ask for nuts (because we were hungry!) 3 times! I think the patio area is just a bad place to sit if you want fast service. Having spent several nights at CBI the service was not indicative of a top resort that isn't cheap. From the concierge to the staff and waterfront management I can't say enough bad about this hotel. The only thing going for it is beauty. If you're going to stay in the area I would suggest the Wequassett Resort. Price but much better service. read more

This review is for the Spa only, as we did not stay in the hotel. I had the Swedish/shiatsu massage. The massage itself was great, the only negative was that the therapist was a bit chatty. Then again, that is a personal preference. The hubby had the hot stone massage and he was very satisfied with it. The locker room and shower area is just lovely. It is sparkling clean, with rainfall shower heads. The products are great. They have deodorant, q-tips and a hair dryer for your use. They also had a dental kit - toothbrush (full-size) with a mini Colgate tooth paste. That, I thought was a very nice touch. I will definitely come back the next time I am in Chatham. read more

Perfection on the cape. Chatham is my favorite town on the cape! It's not a trip without a stop at the Chatham Bars Inn. We've never stayed the night at this gorgeous hotel but have enjoyed lunch and drinks here on multiple occasions. I love sitting in the big white chairs on the lawn watching the water and sipping on a glass of wine. One time we saw a gorgeous beach wedding going on. Lunch was very good here. I had a delicious burger and salad! The property grounds are magnificently landscaped and maintained. I would love to one day be a guest here. Whether staying here or judging visiting for the day, I definitely recommend stopping by this gorgeous old hotel. read more

The Veranda at the Chatham Bars Inn is the perfect spot to grab an after dinner drink or lunch on an over cast day after shopping in downtown Chatham, which is exactly what I did this weekend. Saturday night I went to the Chatham Bars Inn for a drink and it was last call outside on the Veranda (around 10:30). You were still able to sit outside after that, but you had to order drinks inside. There are around 12 large round tables that look out at the ocean and one lower table with a couch and arm chair. We opted to sit at the later. It was a chilly night and just inside the hotel they had a cart of blankets, which was a nice touch. The next day was overcast, so after shopping in downtown Chatham early, we decided to go back to the Veranda for lunch, so we could actually see the spectacular view! I would suggest going around 12:30 or earlier for lunch if you want to pick your table and not wait. The grilled cheese hit the spot on a cool day although the tomato soup was more of a marinara dipping sauce than a tomato soup ($15). The sangria was the best I have had ($14). If you're looking for a scenic spot or something to do on a rainy day, this is it!! There is much more going on at the Chatham Bars than the Veranda. This review is for the beach house grill. We could never afford to stay at the inn! This place isn't cheap, but you are paying for a wonderful view of the beach and a quintessential Cape Cod-feel. We just had the lobster nachos and they were so delicious! Enough for 3 people for lunch, so it's actually a steal. You get a mountain of chips served with guac and sour cream, topped with pickled jalapeños, cheese and chili, and packed with lobster! My wife and I just returned from an overnight stay, and the Chatham Bars Inn exceeded our expectations in every respect. We stayed at the Main Inn which is classy and calming at the same time. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and the ocean view certainly enhanced our experience (highly recommended!). Car service to/from the Chatham town center is a great option, and our drivers were prompt to drop off and pick-up. As for meals, our breakfast was delicious; probably the best omelette I had in as long as I can recall. But if you want to know where the Chatham Bars Inn truly excels: the staff. Elizabeth and Mckenzie at the reception desk were as personable as they were professional. Luke, the valet who was the first to greet us and park my car was so nice and he clearly set the tone for our stay. These are just a few of the names I remember; however, EVERYONE we encountered was not only friendly and courteous, but sincerely cared about making sure guests enjoyed their stay. went to the sacred cod in around 4:30pm. wait stuff were horribly unorganized and we (2 of us) waiting almost 30 minutes to get asked if we wanted water. upon ordering off a very dull menu with minimal options and nothing for picky eaters. they brought the first drink wrong - it was horrible. the waitress come back with another and made a comment which indicated the bar tender didn't know exactly what to do - it was a mai tai so pretty hard to screw up but they some how did. we also got the cheese plate for 28 dollars. not worth the money. they say it has 4 different cheeses - what they should have said was it has 4 pieces of small cheese and a bunch of filling stuff. very underwhelming and unimpressed. not worth 28 dollars. don't waste your time here. bad organization, rude wait staff and employees, and mediocre food at best. read more

Beautiful scenery!!! Came here this week just for a glass of wine as we had dinner plans elsewhere. We sat outside with a great view of the ocean. It was chilly, but gorgeous nonetheless. It would have been nice if they'd had outdoor heaters.... We perused the wine list...holy moly their wines are WAY overpriced!! $12-40/glass and the cheapest bottle was $70...for a very mediocre Cabernet. Service was slow as well. On yet another visit to Chatham we found ourselves at the CBI, one of our favorite locations in the world, the view from both the hotel and beach club are world class and lets face it, for the price you want it to be. We are on a staycation tour, we had stayed here several years ago for a wedding and loved it so we headed back for another round and i'm glad we did. We had lunch on the patio, it was a little breezy but we were seated with a view of the ocean and they had patio heaters to try and take the chill out, they weren't very effective but lets face it, you don't want to be sitting on them and that's where you need to be to feel any benefit. Hostess was pleasant, and our server Irina was delightful. We were there for lunch, so of course its clam chowder and fish n chips for me, Cape staples, the chowder was just ok, not very memorable, shame really, you'd expect world class especially here, but not so much, the fish and chips were a different story all together. The batter on the fish was world class, proper crisp batter just the right thickness, the fish was beautiful flaky haddock, the chips were the right size and super salty, the coleslaw was some of the best i've had outside my mum's kitchen, definitely home made, fantastic dish. #2 had the mussels in chorizo, wine and chili broth, mussels were tender and juicy and the broth had the perfect combination of heat and smoke. The toasted bread for dipping was so good i could have eaten a whole loaf! Prices are what you'd expect with a view like this and the white glove service, its hard not to like CBI in my opinion, we will always head back, if not just for the memories, then the fish and chips! read more

I was treated to a huge surprise last night. My friend took me to the Joseph Carr Wine Tasting Dinner at CBI. Mind you I had NO idea where were were going until we drove down Main St. in Chatham. When we passed Vinings I knew where we were going. The night was pure magic. It started with a champagne reception and then a 5 course wine dinner. Joe Carr was a great host telling tales and sharing personal antcedotes. The food was perfect..portions small (thank goodness), wine pairings amazing..and my date, phew......it was THE best date of my life... The first course featured lovely Chatham little necks and a delicious crisp Savignon Blanc. The second course was a lobster risotto with I think white beet ..really nice. The Chardonnay was lovely. The third course was crispy duck confit. I don't typically eat duck but it was nice. It was paired with my favorite wine, a Pinot Noir. The 4th course was tenderloin but I don't eat meat so was served a yummy veggie empanada and a second plate of haddock. The fish was so fresh and flavorful. I loved the empanada as well. They both came with delicious mashed potatoes very rich with a hint of sour cream I think. I skipped the Cab and kept drinking the Pinot Noir. The final course was a berry apple Clafoutis tarte. The crust was chocolate and the berries and fruit light and lovely. I cannot say enough about how enjoyable this evening was. CBI did a great job. Our wait staff were impeccable. read more

Best brunch I've ever had. Views of the ocean and the beach are spectacular, the food was incredible. But the service was exceptional. Perfect service for buffet style meal, which none of us were ever expecting. Orlando waited on us, read our minds for what we wanted, went WAY out of his way to make us feel comfortable. When one of us got up he would fold our napkin for us and place it back down before we got back. We mentioned in passing that it was a birthday meal. At the end of the meal Orlando brought a piece of fudge and a candle and sprinkled with jelly beans and the plate was inscribed with hardened chocolate that spelled Happy Birthday. Every bit of food was delicious from the sirloin to the french toast to the organic tea. Go here if you have the money and time to enjoy being pampered and treated like royalty for a buffet style brunch. read more

Ate lunch at the Veranda with some friends, so this review is only for that space. Speaking of which, the space was quite lovely and included a nice view of the water. The tables were adequately spaced out and there were heating lamps to warm up the Fall weather. I had "The Burger", which was extraordinarily flavorful. I asked for mine to be cooked medium rare, while another member asked for hers to be medium well. When the burgers came out, the waitress didn't mention anything to the servers about which was what. I asked one of them and received a shoulder shrug. Sure enough, after each of us cut into them, they were both medium well. I expect this at a dive bar or something, but not the esteemed CBI. Again, the flavor of the burger was outrageously good, which for the most part made up for the overcooking of the meat. Additionally, there was quite the cross up with the glass of wine a few of ordered. The server informed me that she was out of whatever the Syrah, to which I replied that I had ordered the Sicilain red, as did my wife. She said "okay" and left the table. Upon her arrival, a glass of white was put in front of me. When I asked if there was a mix up, I was told that I ordered a wine that they didn't have, without explanation of why I received a white wine from Portugal. I asked again for the Sicilian red, which it looked like she had just put in front of someone else at the table, but I was told she was out of that and the Syrah. Obviously I requested a different red off the list, which was met with quite the attitude. I pride myself on being a very polite person, especially towards anyone helping me, so I'd like to think I wasnt at fault here - but totally bizarre experience, which is too bad. Went to a children's Christmas event today ! Holiday Teddy Bear Tea party! Awful! Hand pick your very own teddy bear! The same teddy bear was placed it front of each child. The adults were told just go sit at a table. We all thought we would sit and watch and enjoy a cup of tea! Not at all. Most of the kids needed help stuffing their teddy bear! Then it said themed games and crafts! The craft was a cup and saucer and a big cup with stickers! Put stickers on your saucer! That's it! How creative! Now the themed games. Do you have a teddy bear at home? What's their name? A freeze game. Santa says and the rest whatever would take up time until the grilled cheese sandwiches and cocoa was put out! The children were going back to their parents saying I'm bored! Now the children go back to their seats. They have a grilled cheese , cocoa and a cupcake in front of them. The write up says cookies but kids like either so fine. Now they are told they can't eat before they have an etiquette lesson. Really? These kids are 3-8 years. No tea for the adults ! A man came in and put water not chilled on the front table and assumed we knew that was our treat. The staff did have extra grilled cheese sandwiches and asked if anyone wanted one. The children were also given a nice gift bag with tissue and thought there was something inside but the instead it was to carry their teddy bear home and the craft that they had decorated with a few stickers. To top of this we were given a sheet at the end in case we wanted to give a gratuity! I felt bad for the girl at the front desk! Most of us stopped to complain! When you think of Chatham Bars Inn you think of a upscale resort. So I expected a top notch event. This was anything but top notch! This cost $75! I took my child to a cookie decorating class yesterday. It was an hr. She got to decorate 6 cookies , got a cider donut and it cost $15! Don't waste your money at Chatham Bars Inn! read more

My wife and daughter have been to the Beach House Grill a number of times and kept telling me I'd love it - well, I was disappointed. We got there at 3:00, so they weren't using all of the tables, because of something going on later. In addition, the menu was just the bar menu at that point. The hostesses seemed to be snooty rich kids, who just didn't want to work. Why they had 4 of them doing nothing but talk made no sense to me. The high-top tables are extremely uncomfortable - refuse to sit at one! The pros - the food overall was very good. My wife had a lobster salad, while my daughter and I both had burgers. The waiter was very good, though seemed to disappear when we wanted the check. The views of course are great. The cost is very hefty as you'd expect. Overall, there are far better waterfront restaurants in the area. I doubt I'll be back. read more

This was our first time in Cape Cod- - what an impression the Chatham Bars Inn left! It was a fabulous place. We stayed in the private cottage, which was just so home-like and quaint. They have bikes you can check-out (no extra charge) for a few hours. It was perfect for an afternoon ride around the area. We had dessert in the tavern restaurant (in the main building), which was delicious. They have a fabulous flourless chocolate cake and my husband ordered an apple dessert which he just loved. In the rooms they have a cappuccino machine, which was a nice added touch for a late night drink or early morning wake-up! Aveda products are provided, USA Today in the morning, plus turn down service. I haven't had that since our honeymoon and think it's just a nice added touch to the whole hotel experience. Check out was easy - we just called the front desk and were good to go! Unfortunately they were doing some work to the road by our cottage, so it was quite noisy in the morning. This was our 3rd and last Chatham Bars Buffet experience. We understood that Covid would impact our experience, but that was not the issue. We sat for 2 hours watching friends of the waitstaff get served while staff congregated around friends tables. They were certainly not understaffed as many places are right now. We watched 6 happy birthday parades as staff balanced wine glasses on their heads. I felt like I was at Red Lobster.. The awe of the buffet was gone, due to covid but the food out of the kitchen was over cooked and dry. The clams were dry and sticky (they had sitting for hours), lobster was okay, but do not worth it. A couple Cole slaws and roasted potatoes (which our server didn't even bother bringing out to us.. We were the very last ones in the restraunt, could not get the server to bring drinks over while we waited the entire night. Total miss! The amount we paid for this less than mediocre experience was infuriating. So different than our previous experience. If considering, I would strongly recommend passing. read more

Unfortunately, we are sorry to say that we are extremely disappointed with the Chatham Bars Inn. My wife and I brought our family to Cape Cod from NJ, with the highlight of the weekend being dinner at the CBI. My wife made reservations for Sunday night, November 5th, for 6 people at Stars restaurant 2 weeks prior. She spoke with a representative of the hotel and our reservation was confirmed. After not hearing from the CBI via email or phone 1-2 days prior to confirm, we thought this was odd and called to confirm our reservation. Upon finally getting someone to answer the phone, we were told that Stars restaurant was closed and they had no record of our reservation. We had our parents dressed up, in the car, eager to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. We were offered no recourse or explanation as to why the restaurant was closed or the fact that our reservation was completely lost. We asked if the restaurant was now closed for the season and we were told "no, just tonight". I explained that we were celebrating a special occasion and brought our family all the way from NJ, with possibilities of hosting my younger sister's wedding at CBI in 2024. Honestly, our entire trip to the cape was based off of our dinner at CBI, after a wonderful experience last year. My wife and I loved it so much we wanted to introduce our whole family, unfortunately we were unable. Sad to say, I suppose we won't return :( read more

Terrible experience ....rainy day in cape cod . Figured we would have a drink and a nice lunch. Checked in and have our name, told it was an hour wait. Ate at Chatham Bars Inn for lunch on the veranda. It was a huge disappointment. Chowder ($12) was cold, calamari ($16) was cold. Service was slow (we do not blame the waitress). Lobster Roll was good (for $34 it should be). I had a Bloody Mary and did not ask for any specific type of vodka and they charged $3 extra for Tito's.. I did not request Tito's. The Bloody Mary was $17. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Cannot recommend it. For the money and their reputation, it should be great. They fell short in a big way. read more

This is my second time eating at Chatham bars inn! I live in Florida so when we come to visit family in MA, this is a must visit restaurant. This time around was my first time at the beach house eating. The cocktails were perfect and the view was gorgeous. They had live music which was perfect! I asked the waiter if the lobster nachos would be something good to split for 6 people, he said maybe. These nachos were HUGE, delicious, and had plenty of lobster on them! Definitely a crowd pleaser! We can't wait to come back up north and possibly stay there a night too!! read more

Booked a spa day with a friend - have been to CBI many times before for dining, etc so was expecting a a great experience. The facial was excellent but otherwise the experience was mediocre and didn't match the price they charge. We arrived about 4:30 for evening appointments- waited by pool for 20 min or so before any service. Ordered a glass of wine, after another 20 min or so got the order and asked about food but apparently food device had already ended. This should have been explained up front as not having any options for substantial food for the next 3 hours was suboptimal. Also- hot tub jets not working, and the place starts to completely shut down around 7 pm even though appointments are still happening- amenities being cleared away, staff walking through locker room asking if we were done with slippers etc. You should consider not booking appointments during the time when you are actively shutting down the locker room and pool area. Lastly my friend left something there and we came back first thing in the morning to ask about the lost item - there was very little effort on part of staff to see if the item had been turned in- it is not clear they even looked before saying no. Finally it is very difficult to get anyone on the phone- goes straight to voicemail. All in all not up to the standards / expectations that go along with the resort read more
