This place is SOOO good!! I would not recommend buying anything there aside from the fudge or chocolates, because everything else is overpriced and can easily be bought anywhere else in MA for much cheaper. However, the fudge is delicious! I would recommend the darker chocolate fudge (plain or with sea salt), the Reeses fudge, and the turtle fudge. The Oreo fudge was ok but did not have enough Oreo. This is definitely my favorite place for fudge!!! I never skip a trip or to two there whenever I am on the Cape but this weekend I went there to buy 6 pounds of fudge and was rudely treated by the manager, Roseanne who came over and told us they only typically give people two samples...I found it terrible customer service especially when we were buying 5-6 pounds of fudge. A much smarter approach would have been for them to have the employees give out smaller samples for tasting...the samples were definitely bigger than I would expect to taste to decide what to get. I wanted to write this review because I think the owners should know how their staff handles the customers. I will still go back again and again but do hope the experience is much better than my most recent one. read more

What's not to love?? I have been coming here since the 70s, and it has never failed to wow. The chocolate and fudge are the best in the world. My personal favorite fudge is penuche, and for chocolates, it's the peanut butter logs (like a designer Fifth Avenue or Clark Bar...heaven!). For nostalgia, it's fun to see Mallo Cups, Bonamo Turkish Taffy and such. All chocolates made there except the obvious aforementioned and the holiday themed foil wrapped chocolates (hearts, nutcrackers, santas, etc.). It's a well-run shop, too. You don't wait too long to get waited on if you need a pound, half pound of something in a case. My favorite thing is to go there the day AFTER Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc and all if the holiday theme chocolate is half price!!! Sshhh....don't tell anyone! What a deal! I stock up (I am good at moderation, or I'd have Type II). Naomi, if you read this: please bring back the chocolate dipped fudge balls you used to have in the 70s!! Remember? What an ingenious use of fudge scraps! You guys would rub the fudge scraps into marble sized balls and dip them in chocolate. Sinful. read more

Drunk and listless, I wandered into this candy oasis. Let me offer a few helpful hints: Don't be fooled by the packaged goods, which seem to suggest that people should be paid $5 extra for being able to wrap clear plastic around almonds. Proceed directly to the front counter, where you will see the magnificent bowl of assorted free samples of fudge. Try to ignore the thought of the countless grubby hands of children that have doubtlessly dug through this same bowl, and let your mind go blank with bliss as you taste these sweet morsels. The dismal looking teenagers behind the counter will even provide more free samples. This is a great place to get gifts for friends and family, since bringing back fudge from the shore is so unique! read more

i got ripped off at the Chatham Candy Manor. I thought it was $9 a pound for assorted candy, but the lady at the cash register began to take out lots of candy from my bag. She said that the candy she took out was sold separately. There was no sign that indicated this. This is the most outrageous ripoff I have ever experienced. I thought the service was dreadful and no one who worked there understood anything. Save your money and find another candy shop! read more

crowded. busy.... good sign right? tons of selections and this is your only place to get chocolate (at least on main street) so they have a bit of a monopoly. the quality is average, by which i mean its good. its much better than some places that will remain unnamed in orleans. fudge is extensive with lots of variety and the employees delightful and respectful. def give it a try. read more
