Great food, quick, and the waitress was amazing. We ate here after a day trip to Death Valley. The place was pretty full when we arrived around 6 and was packed with more people waiting when we left. I had the red curry which was great. The waitress deserves a special thanks. She worked the whole floor by herself, including giving people refills and answering the phone and she still managed to give every table enough attention. read more

I ordered a few things and everything was exceptionally good... it was so good that I'm about to order takeout again, like right now

We called to place a pick up order since we knew they were closing. They require you to provide a credit card over the phone instead of paying when you get there. They quoted us about 20-25 minutes but it ended up being ~ 35 minutes since the first batch of shu mai broke so they had to make a second batch. We were pretty upset about the long wait time (sat in the car for 30 minutes) but the good food made up for it :) Deep Fried Tofu ($10.45): This is a steep price for 6 pieces of fried tofu. The tofu pieces were a good size and crunchy but the real star was the dipping sauce. If they sold a bottle of this sauce, we would buy it! Otherwise, it's not worth getting the tofu. Stuffed Shu Mai ($10.45): Also on the pricey end for shu Mai but it came with 6 pieces instead of the usual 4 at Chinese restaurants. They were worth the wait because the shu mais were plump, juicy, & delicious We would definitely order this again! Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) With Crispy Pork Belly ($15.95 + $4.45 for the pork belly): This was the least favorite of the 4 items we ordered. The drunken noodle was good but didn't have the authentic Thai flavors. The pork belly did not match this dish at all and had a Canadian ham texture. I would not get this again. Gouy Theaw Tom Yum With Thin Rice Noodles, Wet ($15.95): I got it wet so the soup was provided on the side. If you get it dry, you don't get a soup so I wonder how it would be flavored. They gave generous amounts of meats in general which were all really good. I was sad that all the rice noodles stuck together so it was more like eating the soup with balls of rice which was not an ideal experience. The broth was perfect to me and not too salty but it didn't taste like Tom Yum at all. read more

We were passing by when we stubbled upon this gem!! It's a nice little cozy restaurant. There is a one server - who takes orders, serves and does everything. It was a full house when we walked in, and looking at just one server, we thought it's gonna be a long wait but we love Thai food so decided to stay and eat. And we were surprised. She was the best- fast, attentive to everyone. Orders were taken fast and food came to the table at just the right time. We got chicken satay, Pad Kee Mao and Pad Gra Pao. Everything was yummy. If you like spicy food. They have just the right spicy levels for you. We went with spice level 7 - and it was good, spicy and flavorful. Pad Gra Pao comes with rice and it was delicious. The portions were too much for me and my family. But hey! we got to go - to enjoy it later on!! :) If ever we pass by again, will definitely stop by this place. read more

Delicious food and excellent service! So happy we came here even though it was packed with Death Valley tourists (like us haha). Lottie was our server, taking care of a whole restaurant, which was maybe 12 tables, and the seating, takeout, phones, everything. I waitressed full time for several years and expected to get secondhand stress out from watching her rush around, but she was so efficient and calm, with a smile on her face and unending patience. Oh and the food was really good too! It took a while, as expected, but worth the wait. My parents and I all liked a shrimp/egg/coconut milk curry the best. Tons of flavor without it being too salty, and tender shrimp, not overcooked. We also got the papaya salad, which I got extra spicy. The scale is 1-10 and we were told 7 is about a habanero so I got it at a 6 and appreciate that it actually was super spicy! It came with dried shrimp and flavorful sauce. I do wish it was stinkier, thinking about this salty crab stuff I had once, that I haven't been able to find in the US. But still good. The papaya was super fresh, and it is a smaller portion, but totally good with sticky rice. The only thing we didn't love was the noodles. We got what was dry style noodle soup in the tom yum flavor. It was a stir fried egg noodle that was good but too salty and not lime-ish enough for me though it did come with limes. Really liked the bbq pork on it though. We took a weekend trip to Pahrump and decided to check out Chatthai Bistro. The restaurant is small. Our server, Lottie, greeted use soon after we entered and was very knowledgeable about eating plant-based, vegan. Our appetizer was the fried tofu which was crispy and tasty with the sweet sauce. We both got noodle dishes with vegetables. The noodles were a bit peppery, but the 2/10 spice palette seemed accurate. The vegetables and noodles were very good with the vegetables cooked throughout but still with a nice crispness to them We enjoyed our meal and I recommend Chaithai, particularly for my plant-based friends read more

I have ordered from Chat Thia twice. Both times yellow curry, both tims the styrofoam container was completely melted in half and more. I chose to call and let them make it right instead of running to the internet. Well they told us they would comp 2 meals. We decided not to cook tonight and try the dinning in. Food was just ok and when it was time to pay our check the very nice server took the bill to pay and told the owner. He began to cuss and scream at her. I said I'm paying for the rest. He continued to scream said we are scammers and we melted it ourselves lol. He then was cussing and scream that we are 86(like we would go back) I told him how silly it was that we would pay $20 for a bowl of soup and then take it home and melt the styrofoam in it. He then said well he's bring it home to you. Maybe you shouldn't trust him, he must be doing something to it. I tried to reason and talk to him and he just continued to scream and cuss with a family at a table with little kids. I ended the mad rant he was spewing with... Oh my gosh, I don't think I can put into words how much I love this restaurant and their employees. I've always loved Thai food, but chatthai has ruined me for other Thai restaurants! Nobody else is as good, truly. My favorite thing to order is the Thai basil chicken with extra onion (a ton of extra onion) and it's always delicious. Their angel wings are delicious as well. Honestly, I've never had any food from there that I haven't liked. It's nice and chill inside if you want to eat there or it's super simple to make a to go order. Shannon is always extremely nice and greets everybody with an awesome smile. She always makes sure that I get my extra onions, which is super important to me because I won't eat it otherwise! Surprisingly in a small collection of random businesses, this place will shock you. The decor nothing to write home about but let me tell I'm you- the food is spectacular. The food here (or specifically what I ordered was not that good). My boyfriend and I came here from Death Valley as a place to sleep over for the night (yea, we weren't in the mood for camping), and ended up here because of all the good reviews. The food though may be good for that area but wasn't that good overall. I had the Rad Na, which they described as a pour over, over the noodles. They looked like Pad See Ew noodles that had gravy poured over them with a bunch of vegetables they had on hand. It wasn't quite the Rad Na I was expecting, and the noodles were quite a bit soggy and not all that great. The table next to us was also complaining, and we found out that the chef was new according to them, so maybe it's a recent transition issue. They also messed up my order quite a bit in that I ordered my dish with beef, and they ended up making chicken instead, and to fix it they just added the beef cooked separately on top. Not a big deal but you could tell the two weren't cooked together. My boyfriend's Penang Curry was pretty fragrant and good though, I'd recommend sticking to one of the curries if you find yourself here. read more

Funny that I had never tried Thai food before. So when some buddies wanted to stop, I was game. I'm not a big spicy food guy so I don't admit sure what to expect. As a majority of he discussions were about how hot the food was, I was a little concerned. So nobody in my group had dared to try a level 10, and a level 3 was supposed to be like jalapeño peppers. So I asked for NO spice - there was still a hint of spice. (The guy that tried a level 6 was feeling it the next morning! Lol) The service here was great! One of the top and one of my now favorites to get Thai food. We drove all the way to Pahrump today to kick off our Memorial Day weekend and based on high yelp reviews, we went here for lunch. Great decision! We were given a very welcoming smile and "Hello" by Lottie as soon as we entered. We were given recommendations by her too and our choices dis not disappoint. The lunch specials are served with a small cup of soup and given a choice between Chicken skewer with peanut sauce or egg rolls. We chose the chicken skewer and it was delicious. The peanut sauce was made to perfection. I can bath in that sauce!!! The appetizers we ordered were all based on yelp recommendations and both dishes hit the spot. The service that Lottie provided us was to the T! It was like visiting a relative's home. It was a good experience for us add we will make drive up to get another fill of great Thai food. Nice cozy little Thai restaurant in an unassuming part of town off the main route. They have a good variety of Thai food on their menu. I ordered a chicken Satay and a Chicken Pad Thai. The chicken satay is some of the best I've ever had. Chicken Pad Thai was also good but the portion was slightly smaller compared to most Thai restaurants I've ordered it from. The food was great as usual. Got the Tom Kah chicken coconut milk soup, the flavor is amazing! The chicken satay skewers are a go to Thai dish, the cucumber salad is sweet and tangy with some spice and the secret recipe peanut sauce is my favorite. I recently tried the mom's salad with honey mustard, has been on repeat. We are continually surprised with new tasty items that the server helps us find. It's a small/medium bistro and when it's full on a Saturday night, everyone is hustling. There was what seemed to be an out of towner there, loud Asian lady and large party taking up a large part of the available space, didn't understand small town restaurants and when they get slammed at dinner time, everything takes a lil longer and a slightly different menu to boot. Lottie was great with us and everyone else she interacted with that we saw, but this one lady wasn't happy and she keep complaining her kid asked her to stop, almost ruined our meal too. The rich brown sauce that formed the foundation of the Pad See Ew was one of the best we've had. And, the Som Tum Thai (Thai Style Papaya Salad) was the perfect pairing. I'm a Bay Area food snob and I have to tell you that this might be some of the best Thai Food I've ever had! The two ladies serving and seating were absolutely incredible and so patient (human 2 year old terrorist ). One waitress offered my son a strawberry wafer which he made a mess of (thank you so much ladies). The restaurant itself was super cute and very clean, the kitchen was also beautiful and the Chef I can't thank enough for making some changes to my meal (SUPER ACCOMMODATING).
