These empanadas were great! I loved the green sauce to go with them, and the hot sauce at the table. I went here today with a large group and we were easily able to find a table and sit comfortably. There were a ton of empanada choices- it was hard to pick which one to get! I ended up getting the mushroom chicken one, and the eggplant one. The woman working asked if I wanted them heated up, and if I wanted cheese on top of the eggplant one which I thought was a really nice touch! She seemed to be the only one working but was able to give each customer a good experience. She even brought our food out to the table which was really nice. Chicken mushroom- the crust on this empanada was not as flaky as I would have liked, but it was still good. I liked the sauces with it but I'm not sure I would get this one again. The flavor was good, but when I get an empanada I like to have that flaky shell. Eggplant- this empanada was delicious! The shell was flaky and the filling was outstanding. I would totally get this again. Overall I liked this spot! I'll definitely be back to try the MANY other flavors

Unique and interesting, delicious empanadas abound here. Service was fast and friendly. We asked for extra warm / crisp and that's what we got. There's limited outdoor seating but it's never full. Overlooks a busy intersection so quite noisy and bustling.

Haven't gotten a chance to go in person yet, but we had a small variety of empanadas and we loved. Will definitely go here/order again. We had: Chicken Classico Beef Tango Chicken and Mushroom Spicy Chicken

I came to this place because I went to Grandma's Kitchen (few doors down) and the wait for food was soooo long despite calling in ahead of time. I was glad to see several new restaurants opened on this block. Ambiance: This place is pretty small but very cozy and looks clean and bright. Its a comfortable place for very small parties to dine in, but there is also a table right outside. The display showing all the empanadas had labels telling you the name of each, but it was hard to decipher what was inside (to me). Pricing: Reasonable. Check the little blackboard on the right side. I took the 3 piece combo for $12.99. Empanadas were decently sized for the price and a 3 pack would make a nice meal for someone. Food: I asked what was popular and the messi was something new. Its beef and onions inside and to us, tasted like a steak and cheese. It was the best one. I also had a spicy churro, but it tasted similar and I can't really tell the difference or distinguish the two. I also got the classic chicken and that was dry and not good. I wouldn't recommend that one but the other 2 were good. I wished they had a plain one with just chicken and cheese inside. Many of the options seems to say onions and peppers, so if you like that stuff, then you'll have plenty of options. If you're with someone that likes plain-er food or are picky eaters then this is something to consider. Service: Very friendly from the single person running the show. She was communicative - greeted me and offered to help pick out what I wanted. She offered to heat up my empanandas, which only took 40 seconds. Parking: Plenty of street parking outside.

Love these Argentinian empanadas! The shop is small but they have TONS of different kinds of empanadas to chose from. Im a savory person and my fiance is a sweet person so I tried the Beef Clásico which had ground angus beef, onions, red bell peppers, scallions & egg. He tried the Beef Criolla which had ground angus beef, onions & raisins. Both were super delicious! Looking forward to trying more.

It was ok. Not in a hurry to go back. The dough was good but the fillings were lackluster. A little pricey.

I love supporting small family owned restaurants. We had 2 orders of the Parillada grilled meat platter: Short Ribs, Black Sausage, Sausage, & Flank Steak. Served with French fries and a mixed salad. My boyfriend had the Fussili Alla Matriciana - Homemade Fussili sautéed with Pancetta in a light tomato Sauce and said it was delicious. We also had some tasty strawberry mojitos, spicy margaritas, and wine as well.

There were 2 other couples when we got there. I ordered the Red Sangria that was 1/2 wine 1/2 orange juice. Not to my liking. Exchanged for a glass of moscato. He had the spicy margarita served in a short glass. which he said was ok. The wine was a little flat. Drinks were $15 each. Dinner i got the seafood special that said shrimp, scallops, lobster tail, and mussels over linguine with a pink sauce. He got the cannelloni one beef and one spinach. My entree had no price listed on the specials menu. I have never let price deter me snd I Was shocked to see it was $60. We eat out a lot but that was in no way a $60 dish. The portions were small. Seafood quality was mediocre. And the lobster tails were rock lobster. Which is a coarser meat and not as flavorful as Maine lobster. Which was misleading on the description. Overall one and done for us. In my opinion its too expensive for what they are serving.

My fourth Dine Out Boston 2026 Winter visit: Alma Gaucha, the Brazilian rodizio, with colleagues…read more The meat was delicious, the salad station was plentiful, and we ate until we were stuffed... Meat Serving: My favorites were all kinds of beef! The Premium of Top Sirloin and Top Sirloin with Garlic were extremely juicy and tender, as you can see. I recommended medium rare, and don't cook it more than medium. Tri-Tip Steak and Tri-Tip Steak with Cheese were relatively coarse, but had a layer of fat that made them more flavorful. I recommended medium; medium-well would be too dry. Lamb Steak was juicy and flavorful, with no gamey taste, so eat with confidence. Chicken Wrapped with Bacon and Chicken Legs were garlic-flavored, but the meat was a bit tough. Cheese with Honey was a calorie bomb but really delicious; the cheese had a slightly gamey taste, and the more honey, the better. Most importantly, the grilled meats here are just the right amount of salty; only the Chicken Heart and Pork Sausage were very salty. There were various sauces to choose from, but I personally recommend the oily and slightly sour Chimichurri, or simply salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Salad Station: Foods were plentiful and all very fresh and of good quality. My favorite was the Apple Salad, which was like the old-fashioned "fruit and salad dressing" version from my childhood--it was nostalgic and had a wonderfully refreshing sweet and sour taste. The Smoked Trout was tender and had a wonderfully flavorful fat, but considering it from freshwater , I only had a small taste. The Clam Chowder had a rich creaminess that perfectly complemented the umami of the clams. The Bruschetta, with its creamy sweetness from roasted garlic paired with the crispy bread, was a delightful little treat. Side Dishes: My personal favorite was the Mashed Potatoes, fried potato balls with a crispy, airy exterior and a creamy filling. The Yucca Croquette was like a tapioca version of Pão de Queijo, with the same crispy crust and mochi-like texture, but a milder cheese flavor. The Caramelized Bananas were too soft and mushy; cooked bananas always have a rotten taste. The Crispy Polenta was very hard, mainly cornstarch, and had little flavor. Desserts: The waiter's recommendation, the Red Velvet Cake, was definitely on point. It was less sweet and had a gentler sweetness, more suitable for Chinese tastes. If you like it sweeter, get more of the part with white chocolate sauce. The Mango Cake had a very smooth mousse and a rich mango flavor. The Keylime Pie was too sweet and sour, too strong a flavor.

The manager checked on us several times to make sure everything was okay. I found it a little excessive, my coworkers loved the attention. It was quiet and empty, maybe because we visited during lunch. I'd love to come back on a Sunday to experience it. My biggest disappointment was the restaurant's did not allow me to take home leftover food. I had a piece of salmon and some pineapple left on my plate and was told I couldn't take it home. That was beyond frustrating. They remove the charge from my bill, I would have liked to keep the food rather than receive the discount. It felt wasteful to throw away perfectly good food, especially when food waste is such a serious issue. It was literally half a piece of salmon. I don't understand the logic of losing money on the meal and throwing food that could have been enjoyed later. That left a negative impression on an otherwise excellent dining experience. Overall, the food and service were outstanding, but the no-takeout policy for leftovers is something I hope they reconsider this crazy thoughts

We tried 6 empanadas between us and they were flavorful and fun. I was happily surprised that the three were enough for a meal-I was smiling as I finished them. The spicy chorizo had a noticeable slight pepper to it, the chicken mushroom was fun with bechamel and the beef with cheese and bacon reminded me of a great Philly cheesesteak. The spinach was surprising in its deep flavor and light flaky crust. Definitely worth trying! The kind woman who helped us was pleasant, knowledgeable, and promptly prepared everything. I called the restaurant immediately to explain what happened and try to find a solution. The person in charge was not interested in hearing any of it. He kept insisting I had canceled the order, blamed me repeatedly, and refused to move past that point no matter how clearly I explained the situation. He eventually got rude and hung up on me. Yes, he actually hung up. When a restaurant chooses to partner with DoorDash, they take on some responsibility for how delivery problems get handled, particularly on large orders. The right response is not to interrogate and blame the customer while a ready order sits on the counter. There was no attempt to help, no offer to make it right, just defensiveness from start to finish. We ended the night with nothing. A large group of people, no food, and an experience that left us worse off than if we had never ordered at all. If something goes wrong with your order, this is how Che Empanadas will treat you. We will not be ordering from them again, and I would strongly encourage others to think twice before doing so.

Solea in Waltham is a tapas bar with a warmly decorated interior and a format built for sharing,…read moreand when the kitchen is on, it makes for a genuinely enjoyable night out. We walked into a space divided in a way that gives tables a sense of privacy despite the larger dining room, and the atmosphere was lively without becoming overwhelming. The tapas format rewards ordering widely. The ceviche is fresh and well balanced, with enough acidity to make it a strong opener for the table. The lamb meatballs and lamb chops deliver on the richness that lamb focused tapas should bring. The beef tenderloin is a reliable anchor for anyone who wants something more substantial, and the shrimp and calamari are both worth adding to a spread if you are building out a fuller table. The paella is massive and feeds more people than you might expect, with the chicken and chorizo version being the more reliable order for flavor consistency. Where the experience gets uneven is in the consistency across the menu. Some dishes land clearly while others fall short, and the kitchen does not always execute at the same level across a large tapas spread. The ceviche and lamb dishes worked well on our visit, but a few other plates did not quite match that standard. Service held up well, though it can stretch thin during busier stretches. Our server was attentive and helped guide us through the menu, but the pacing slowed a bit as the dining room filled. For a tapas dinner in the suburbs with a good selection and a comfortable setting, Solea is worth a visit when you go in knowing which dishes to prioritize.

But putting that aside, the hit-and-miss nature of each dish sucks the fun out of it. I would not recommend the beef skewers to anyone. While they looked gorgeous, they were downright chewy, with no tenderness or rendered fat to help me out. I almost always eat every bite of a meal, but I couldn't finish them. In contrast, the spinach had crispness, flavor, and raisins for real balance and a decent flavor profile. My spicy Solea (house) margarita was too strong, but worse, it was spicy as in hot, rather than spicy as in flavorful. It was like pepper was coating the back of my throat. On the other hand, the Basque cheesecake had great texture, on the outside and inside, and it was sweet and creamy. I found the service cheerful, and the space is great for large friend groups or for solo watching the World Cup. All in all, though, don't come here for the food.
