I drove in from the San Fernando Valley to the West LA Class on the horrendous 405 and it was worth it. Even if you live 2 hours away you should drive in to have Brad Kurtz's class and you won't regret it. He really makes the class fun along with teaching you what you need to know. He is truly professional but really involves you in the class, knows all of our names and had us reflect on what we thought about given situations. We shared personal experiences with traffic incidents and he shared his. He really makes you think critically and values our opinions too. along with being a total crackup when he acts out traffic scenarios. It is the only time I didn't mind taking a pretest and posttest. He covered the material so well you will for sure pass. I am a fan of making each person think and reflect on traffic situations, videos etc. because it involves you and it is great to hear what others think instead of just memorizing the DMV code manual; which puts you to sleep. Whoever hired Brad Kurtz should seriously think of making him a director of other centers or training other instructors. After leaving this class it is almost therapeutic. You feel better about yourself and don't feel as demeaned after getting the ticket. You feel like you will know how to be a more defensive driver as well as what to expect from law enforcement. In addition you will be aware of tricky things to watch out for when driving. It was a well deserved 40 bucks but to me the class was worth at least 100 dollars or more in terms of the learning I took away from it Brad will keep you motivated the whole time, is passionate about his job, and is truly gifted.They should do a TV special on traffic instructors or a documentary on how to teach traffic school effectively using him. You'll never fall asleep in his class. Having attended traffic school in the past, this one is the best one I ever have attended. I guarantee you will come out feeling happy, valued,and more confident that you are ready to take the road again.The 8 hours will fly by like a bird. I did a 12 hour traffic school class (not eligible for online)…read more First 8 hours with Brad Kurtz: AWESOME Following 4 hours with Jorgensen: close to suicide Kurtz really led a great class. He was energetic, he knew all of our names and would refer to individual people for thoughts and opinion. While not everyone was a fan, it kept your attention and it kept the class moving. He showed plenty of videos, he discussed a lot of policy and he generally knew his stuff. He knew all the traffic courts, he paid attention to our stories and the time flew by. Honestly, this 8 hour class was much better than any online traffic class I'd taken in the past. Now on to Jorgensen. He couldn't answer simple traffic questions. His response was "it's up to the judge and everyone does it their own way" to just about every single question. His teaching consisted of explaining that there is no difference between different grades of gasoline (some were impressed) and notes that officers write to the judge (which I'm still skeptical on). Overall, it was the biggest waste of time and it felt like we were there for days. Had I not had the first class with Kurtz, I would not even think of coming back.

They then proceeded to drive well below the speed limit to a point where they were basically loitering in the middle of the road. Put it this way, they were so slow that I could easily get a picture of the phone number on the car so I could finally put in a complaint because this is not the first time I have seen issues with the drivers/cars from this school. I have previously seen cars from this driving school driving erratically but haven't been able to catch the phone number until now. I have also caught the cars from this driving school stopping at a red and just sitting there despite the fact that there is absolutely zero oncoming traffic. Other drivers get frustrated by this and then take extreme action to get around the driving school car because it appears the driver is just not paying attention to the road because they are not following normal traffic laws/rules. This is LA, you need to do better when it comes to how you teach people to drive. Your customers are entrusting you to show them how to drive safely and telling your students to make a turn when there's a quickly approaching vehicle, is just not safe. Not driving with the flow of traffic is also unsafe. If you are a new driver looking for a good driving school, go anywhere else but here. I would highly recommend AAA or some other more professional organization because this company just does not teach you how to drive properly in the city of Los Angeles. What a great Truck driving school... It's been an excellent experience... I have been a truck…read moredriver for over 30 years and suffered a catastrophic event in 2020 January... It left me in a coma for three months and I lost my union job as a teamster... When I came out of a coma in April, the pandemic had hit and I was in bad shape and I lost my medical certificate with my CDL and had to walk away from my job my home my health... I was ruined... As time has gone on I've slowly recovered and decided to go through vocational rehab and see if they would approve me to get my CDL back and they sent me after approving me to GSF And all I can say is, it's been such a blessing to be sent to such a great Truck driving school. I did not want to be put in some school that was gonna teach me how to get away with things as the trucking industry has had a serious change over the years in California and has seemed to become one of the worst states in the union handing out commercial licenses to just anyone... I'm so proud to say that GSF was the place I was sent to you because they are very on point very professional and very worth the time. It takes time to have an excellent CDL to go out and get a good job... Very knowledgeable people very on point very polite, and I can't say enough about them... My father was a transportation coordinator Teamster my uncle was also and I do have my son in the Teamsters working ...Truck driving blood will always be in my family and I'm just proud to say that GSF came alongside me and helped me get back on my feet and I was just like to say God bless you guys. The questions are much more difficult and specific than lots of other schools but the questions on the practice tests are exactly the same as the final exam so it does balance out to something relatively easy as long as you can remember the answers for the practice exams. A foolproof method of passing this school is to just simply write down all the answers for the practice tests.
