The bartender comes over to ask what we want, and remembers our drinks, which is nice. I say... I'm not drinking but she will have her normal drink, and I point to the empty chair next to me. Again, she knows what drink and for who, and she goes to get two drinks. When she came back with the drinks she looks at me and says... So you can't just sit here and take up space at the bar.You need to order something. How about a soda? A juice? An app? Ummmmmm.... First of all... The place is half empty. Second of all... I am designated driver and NOT drinking and I do not want to pay for a soda or juice that I don't want to drink. I told her that it was rude that she wouldn't let me sit there as I've NEVER been told that before. Even when they were busy and overflowing. We always tip 30% or more and are good customers. We were going to order food but I was fuming at this point and I got up and I walked out. My fiancé and friend followed me.
