    Carson! Great on service!

What a great experience and Carson service was outstanding. We went for happy hour and stayed (thanks to Carson's recommendation). He suggested the delicious wood fired pizza. We got the "suped up " 16 inch which was great for four to share. The ambiance has a local friendly vibe and Carson really added to that. ASK for him as your server and tell him Irish sent you.

We have been to local pie a few times. One time for pizza and another time just for snacks. They definitely have a happy hour so hit that up from 4-6! The pizza is nice and crispy. The wings were delicious as well. Deez knots and the Mac n cheese were both phenomenal. We left nothing in the plate! The service was quick and efficient! We sat inside and the vibe was casual and comfortable. We would definitely go back!

Extremely disappointed. Pizza was cold, undercooked and without flavor. Embarrassing for how expensive they charge for a pizza. I think you will be better off purchasing a frozen pizza as you will have a more enjoyable eating experience than this pizza. Not sure why they put micro greens on a Margherita pizza, did they run out of basil? I'm more convinced this pizza was steamed instead of wood fired.

June 28,2024 Friday night Just moved to the area and after trying every pizza in the area we found a winner. My new hair dresser nearby told me about this place. So a Friday night in Downtown Bluffton and we got a great table outside even live music! Spoiler alert I dove into eating and missed taking pictures of the main event the pizza! Started with a Coca Cola and hubby had a beer. Next an order of fried green tomatoes, tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and lastly a large pizza with meatballs subbed the tomatoes on the pie for onions. Well needless to say we ordered too much and took half home which we gladly ate the next day. The food is fresh and delicious. The service was ridiculously great! Best of all the owners come from NJ like me! No wonder why the food is out of this world. Definitely will be back.

Pretty pretty good. Not bad for Bluffton tbh. Most places are closed on Sunday so we looked for options open and this popped up. We frequent many of the restaurants in downtown Bluffton but somehow missed this (maybe because pizza isn't a strength here in SC). HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised with my Baller pizza. I even added mushrooms because they were fresh and not canned. The crust was pretty good and didn't taste like cardboard or frozen pizza crust like some other places down here. Three people in our party ordered calzones....one had the dreaded cold center mentioned by other reviewers. Maybe stick with the pizza. Service was great - they just need to kick up the a/c a bit. It's just as hot as sitting outside but louder. I'd give pizza and service a 4 but ambience a 3.

I've been to Local Pie quite a few times over the years and it's high time I give them a proper review! I've always thought it was a nice place to grab pizza & a beer, since we moved back to the low country this year, Kat & I have made this our after church spot on more than a couple of Sundays. The staff is very friendly and most days the ticket times aren't too bad at all. We usually get a pint and a 10 inch pie each, which with tip runs us about $50. Sundays there's usually a musician playing, but not in a loud annoying way. If you're local to Bluffton or just passing through, I'd recommend Local Pie to anyone looking for a unique pizza experience! 5/5 will keep coming back.

The best pizza since I've moved here, seriously it's good. It's a little dark inside. Should be cleaner, service was ok, had to wait for the hostess and the waitress was really busy. I'll be back though.

We were informed there's no pancakes and no waffles. Strike 1. We ordered the crab cake bene, the original shrimp and grits and the French toast with scramble. The French toast was fine. Nothing special. The scramble however was a complete joke. They clearly have a vat of their "side eggs" just ready for the scoopin. They were cold and oh so dry. My sister's crab cake entree was absolutely disgusting. The crab cake was orange on the inside, it was mushy and no discernible taste of crab whatsoever. It looked like a dark brown salmon patty my mama would make with a Double Q. The shrimp and grits. Wow and not in a good way. 50 percent of the bowl was onions. Both raw (and almost raw) onions and green onions. There were FOUR shrimp that were absolutely TINY (about the size of a Wild West shrimp from Longhorn) and they had the poop STILL IN THEM. Did I mention that this cost us ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!?!?!? I want to stress again.... Our server was great. I always feel guilty writing bad reviews but I just had to be honest. Yelp ya steered us the wrong way on this one.

The upstairs bartender was friendly and he made me a very good extra dirty vodka martini. Before I knew it, our table was ready! We ended up getting seated after a 10 minute wait. We started with some raw oysters, the cajun broiled oysters and a basket or two of hush puppies. All of which were so good, I wasn't able to get a picture before we ate it all. The cajun broiled oysters were my favorite!! Then, our server took our entree orders with a smile and made sure to keep our drinks filled as we waited. I ordered the Redfish Special and it was a very big portion. I barely finished my meal and my friend who ordered the same thing ended up taking half of it home. I was expecting the lemon cream sauce to be on top of the fish but I believe it was mixed into the lump crab. It was so delicious, I could have been satisfied with just the fresh lump crab. We made a reservation and when we arrived, were seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was beautiful and very comfy. We liked the vibe very much. So far, we are thinking this is going to be a 5 star experience. Unfortunately the wine we ordered is no longer being served so we had to pivot to a different one. Which was fine. So, onto the food. My hubby is not as adventurous as I am in terms of trying new foods. He decided to play it safe. We started with the cornbread. It was served in a small cast iron skillet with butter and jam. The cornbread & jam was good. The butter was a bit odd. It was a whipped/fluffy consistency but the flavor was lacking. Honestly, it sort of reminded me more of old school Crisco from a can than a nice whipped butter. Hubs decided to get the ceaser with cabbage and the Mac & cheese. I ordered the cashew curry & Carolina Gold rice. Hubs absolutely loved his salad. He said it was the most flavorful salad he ever had. I am not a fan of cabbage but I tasted it and he is right, the flavor was unbelievably good. This was the best thing we tasted on our visit. I also tried a bite of his Mac & cheese and it was not something I would order here. I got an overwhelming taste of onion, which is not my favorite thing. Hubs thought it was ok, but not the best he's tasted. I was very excited to try the cashew curry. Unfortunately, it fell flat of my expectations. I expected a complex flavor profile with lots of layers. I got the earthiness & umami. But not much else. The veggies were good. But the lobster was chewy/rubbery in texture. I added Carolina Gold rice and it was ok, but sort of consistency of day old rice without a lot of flavor. It was very filling though, so we skipped dessert. Overall, service was 4 or 5 stars but the food (other than the salad) just fell a little flat for us. Not sure if we caught them on an off night food-wise.
