Both people were wearing masks this morning and a cough guard (plexiglass barrier) was in place by the register. Avoid at all costs. Closed at 2:30PM on a Saturday when the signage lists Saturday business hours as 8-4. Made errors twice on our smog test and then the flaky receptionist made a typo on our VIN so the DMV rejected the smog form. Now we are sitting in front of the closed shop with a useless smog test form that we overpaid for and have wasted three days on because the first guy didn't know how to seal a VW bus gas cap. Do not go here--it's not actually "cheap" when you spend money on a useless form. I will be demanding my money back. read more

I won't even give this place 1 star. I used to take all 4 of my vehicles here. Ownership changed a couple of years ago. The other people were great! My mechanic just a short distance down also told me recently "they aren't very good & I don't send people to them anymore since it changed hands". Unfortunately the new manager running this place has a huge attitude problem & acts like he hates his job. He also acts like he's prejudice against white people & shouldn't be serving the public. Period. He was incredibly rude to me when I asked him a simple question about how long would it be for my turn. He tried to turn it around on me by saying I was being rude! Then he abruptly said he wasn't going to smog my car! Lied when I asked for the owners name & then became hostile when I took his picture with my phone, by grabbing it out of my hands! I went in for a smog, Mundo informed me that my catalytic converter was one digit off. I was forced to run around getting the part replaced, then drive it for several miles to warm up the converter, then returned for my smog at 2:30, they waited for a while to even notice I was there, then at 3pm the gal at the desk has me sign the paperwork, 30 minutes later I was told they will not be able to get to my vehicle! I ended up around the corner at A Smog Test Only, the girl was efficient and friendly and ended this misery for me... I do not suggest Cheap Smog! I was advised by the second smog shop that most likely the referee would have passed the part since the part of the number that is one digit off only pertains to pipe size, not emissions efficiency. I would not trust Cheap Smog again after this experience. Mundo comes across sincere and kind, but I think he could have done more to pass the test...like make a couple phone calls about the part in question as the tech 2 years ago did and ended up passing the truck. read more

Cheap fast smog test. They are the only place I found that was truly open on Sunday for a smog test. There are other places in Sonoma county that advertise they are open on Sunday but when you call you'll find that the garage is open but they don't do smog on Sunday. I would also recommend calling first since they can get busy. I went on a Sunday first thing and at that time they were not busy so I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. read more

I needed a Star test per DMV. 1/2 hour in-to-out. 2005 4Runner, sitting for 9 months, had to jump it. Drove ~35 miles to CST. They have a sign saying, "let them know if the battery has been disconnected" (It was, I did), they plugged in, did a test prior to smog test, said, "Ok".
