This is the coolest themed sandwich spot I've ever been to! My boyfriend and I were visiting a friend and he recommended this spot as one of his favorites-- Cheba Hut did not disappoint! Their food is super fresh and yummy, great service and absolutely loved the atmosphere. I ordered the "Bomb" meatball sub and french onion soup and DEVOURED it. Towards the end I bought a fruity pebbles marshmallow bar and that was delicious as well. Everything had so much flavor and they have a really good variety of items to choose from, theres definitely something for everybody. PS I wish they had a Cheba Hut in California because this business would absolutely thrive there. Hopefully they expand because this is an absolute gem!

Love the food here! The bread is always delicious and all of their sandwiches are great. I'm slowly working my way through the menu and had the bomb - meatball sub and my partner had the Italian which was fresh and delicious as well.

Chill spot in Nob Hill, Albuquerque. They have a variety of "toasted" subs to choose from with an array of fixings on them. They have meat and vegetarian options, as well as an inside bar with tvs. The staff was rxl

Small sub place to go to, near the UNM campus with big flavors and choices. The inside is nice with lots of choices It may not be your 1st sub choice to go to but, just go check it out and see for yourself how good the service and quality of the food is.

I finally tried, and well worth it. Had a roast beef, awesome. That horseradish sauce?! Yes. Quality.

The parking is a bit crazy, they do have someone trying to help direct traffic through the parking lot. If you don't want to brave that though, there's plenty of street parking. It's busy but there's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and the turnover pace is pretty good. Things can be a bit loud if you hit the crowded times, but really it's a popular spot for good reason. I got the sweet potato hash and it had the perfect mix of veggies and eggs and was cooked just right. I also tried one of their tea blends and it really hit the spot. The staff is all very friendly and helpful as well and the food comes out quickly. Anyway, great experience as always at the Grove!

The bread is clearly baked fresh and was nice and crusty on the outside and fluffy with the perfect chew on the inside. My mini me 1 inhaled her grilled cheese (of which my husband ordered the full size and also demolished his), and mini me 2 and I shared the toasted tuna melt. Good balance of tuna, celery, and bread ratio, but I didn't dig the olives in it. There's a mini kale salad that comes with entrees, and it was healthy and palatable for kale. We did end up balancing that green with the pistachio cruffin and pistachio chocolate chip cookie. Would definitely go back for the cruffin with its flaky layers and luscious pastry cream. Cookie was less impressive but still worth the impulse buy. Indoor and breezy outdoor seating available. Highly recommend!

Just around the corner, I found their cute mom and pop restaurant. The interior is simple but clean. The staff were overly friendly and welcoming! I sat at there diner bar style seating instead of a table. Their menu has several breakfast and lunch items available. I chose the pork in red chile sauce. It came with eggs, potatoes, and beans. The food came really quick, within 5-7 min. It was delicious!! The diced pork wasn't dry and blended perfectly in their flavorful red chile sauce. I tried the green chile sauce too, and it's fantastic but does carry some heat (just a nice warm glow not blazing hot). The potatoes, scrambled eggs, and beans bursted with flavor in the chile sauce. The sides were plentiful in quantity. If you are in downtown Albuquerque, you have to try Baca Boys!!

Over the years I keep going back, about once a year: I've had their sandwiches, their pastries, their pies . . . all kinda "meh" and all priced pretty reasonably but not inexpensively. Sandwiches give you a lot of everything . . . except flavor. Pastries are . . . fine. Pies are . . . fine, and kinda small (and not inexpensive, maybe reaching towards pricey); it's the kinda thing you are willing to pay for in order to bring it to a gathering, only to find almost no one bothers to eat it. And so you don't bother. The cookies are pretty good, actually. (And, yes, I know Italian delis - my Italian grandparents brought me to them in New York when I was a child. However, I'm not judging Tully's against these (as in "it's not as good as Back East"), I'm just saying it never really turns my crank.) Today I had a hot chicken, cheese, onion and pepper sandwich, the Carmela. It was a lot of food. But . . . not a lot of flavor. A whole lot of drippy mess in the bottom of my basket, though: water absolutely sopped through the (completely unmemorable tasting) bread loaf and pooled at the bottom of my basket as I ate in. The potato salad served alongside was fine - like what you'd get at Albertson's. The chicken was tender and . . . essentially without flavor, not even salt. There had clearly been a little marinade (I could sense some oregano and maybe garlic in there) but man could this thing have used about five times as much seasoning and then a healthy dose of a vinegar/garlic/oregano dressing on top of it. Bland. Lots of food in that $17 (almost $25 with tip) sandwich, but not a lot of enjoyment. I've had other Tully's sandwiches (both for here and to-go) that were better, but I can't really recall any of them . . . and I _never_ rush back. Like I said, this is a place I think about ("Hey, I'm right nearby; I should try Tully's again!") about once a year . . . and then, meh. To be fair - I believe that I am pretty out in left field on this take: Tully's is popular and always hopping. Get here early unless you want to stand in line. I only had to wait about three minutes to order, but by the time I left at noon this Friday there was a line to order all the way from the counter to the door. In terms of the room, it's a deli. Reasonably well set out with a decent amount of seating set out well, as well as some outside seating that you might want to try when it's not in the nineties. You order at the counter, pay, go get your own fountain drink (they also have some beer and wine, which they will serve you), find a seat and they'll bring it to you. When you're done, you bus it yourself. Pleasant staff - I don't regret tipping, although they don't do much. (As others have mentioned, if you get a cup of water, Tully's generously gives you a decent sized Solo cup - another plus.) It's fine. If you go, at least get yourself some cookies - they're pretty good.
