Fiesta's is not a place that I would choose to go too, BUT I actually frequently it monthly for an association meeting! Fiesta's has a meeting room in the back which they actually allow our organization to use free of charge! So, if you need a room for an event, Fiestas is quite generous with a room charge. Of course, you'll have to check with them on availability but they have been great for us! The service for our events has had it's ups and downs. Some days are really great, and we've had some worse than most. The food is decent, but I do enjoy their red chile. Haven't quite found a "favorite" meal, I guess you could say I am still looking. What I can tell you is the most commonly ordered plate in our group is the Chicken Bowl. People love it! One time there was 6 orders of it in one night! This was my first time eating here and I will not return. I was there for lunch. I had to wait almost 10 minutes for the hostess to appear and she had to take payment from another customer before I was seated. Serves passed me in the foyer and and didn't offer to get me seated. I should have walked out at that point. I ordered a Mexican Pizza. It was okay. I asked if I could have a taste of their red sauce for future ordering. I was charted $2 for the taste of red sauce. I protested the charge with the hostess and she just shrugged. Later Fiesta. I have plenty of great options in town. The food was mediocre and the service was terrible. I mostly enjoy breakfast at this excellent eatery. Highly recommend the Huevos Rancheros with either red or green. The service is always on time and friendly, Antonio, the kitchen manager & head cook, makes sure that your plate is special as he takes great pride in his work. We are a long time customer of Fiesta's for over 20 years but our time has come to say good bye. The food and service has been on a steady decline. We visited yesterday at 4:00, the restaurant had 1 table besides us. Upon receiving our chips and salsa, I asked the waitress for a small side of guacamole so I could add it to the salsa, which I was willing to pay for. I was informed I could no longer order a small side to go with my chips. I would need to order the large guacamole salad that I did not need unless I was ordering food. I took it in stride, said ok. My husband ordered the all you can eat special and I ordered steak fajitas. I also asked for the small side of guacamole when I ordered and asked for it to be brought out asap. She said, of course, but I did not receive it. In the mean time it was shift change. Our new waitress delivered our food. This was the last time we could get her attention until she brought us our check. She never came back to ask if everything was ok, refill our drinks, to ask if we wanted anything else or to see if he would like to order any seconds on the all you can eat dinner,even after several attempts to get her attention. I realize she was new and did not take our order, but there were only 2 other tables now in the restaurant at the time. She was more interested in talking to someone in the back than she was in waiting on us. My Fajitas were cold, definitely not served on a sizzling platter or even warm plate. There was 1 small tortilla served with my $23.00 fajita plate. The meat ( not sure what it was, but it didn't taste like steak) was tough, fatty, gummy and missing any flavor. It looked and tasted like it had been boiled not grilled. What few peppers and onions that were on the plate were not fresh. I only ate it, because I was hungry and it was expensive. The combo plate was basic, and OK. There isn't too much you can do to ruin a cheese enchilada or ground beef taco. The sopapillas were cold, flat and tasted like they were made long before. Upon receiving our check, I told the waitress that we had been trying to get her attention for a second enchilada for the all you can eat. She apologized and said she didn't know that's what we had ordered (Atleast we received the apology). She clearly had no interest in providing any customer service or she would have known what we ordered, been back to refill our drinks, ask if everything was ok, OR at the very least, pick up an empty plate. Any one of those would have been appreciated! This was definitely the final visit from us after a steady decline in food and service. I would have given it 0 stars if I could have. read more

My friend invited me to lunch at this restaurant that I usually pass by but she recommended it. She wasn't wrong. It was after the lunch rush hour so not crowded. We were greeted immediately and seated. Joseph took good care of us. The menu was extensive so I decided on the Fiesta Chalupa and my friend - a Burrito plate smothered w Green chili. Seemed like the whole restaurant scene in ABQ was closed on Sunday...I ended up here mainly because they had an "open" sign in the window. I got my first taste of Carne Adobada which they put inside a sopopia. Delicious ! Nice lounge area with lots of TVs. Kinda quiet in there. Middle of the road for my wife and I. The food is decent, the service is decent and the restaurant itself is decent. We ordered the juevos rancheros and the ranchero skillet. The potatoes tasted like they were cooked the day before and warmed up for our meals. Kind of a strange texture to them, not sure why. The green chili was very tasty and had the perfect kick, the red was not so good. This place is one of those restaurants we may go to again if we happen to be in the area and there is no wait for a table, otherwise we probably won't be back. Fiest's Cantina: As I sat sipping a tasty margarita awaiting my order, it occurred to me that I'd been coming here for just over 20 years when I came per the owner doing a radio ad for how marvelous his eggs-over-easy were. Alas, I've never had the e-o-e as I saw they served Chimichanga's as I glanced the menu when first seated. It's been that "just right sized" Chimi smothered with my green (or red) choice anchoring a bounty of refried beans covered with cheese with a dash of color of garnish including chopped black olives highlighted by ice cream-sized scoops of guac and sour cream, the latter falling off menus elsewhere. You have the option of 'dining room' or tavern dining for your choice of New Mexican, Indian, or Gringo dishes. Food was terrible. Nothing authentic had the posole couldn't take the first bite. The pork smelled bad Pretty sure it was spoiled. I decided to try some tacos they were worse. I should've looked at the overall star rating 3 1/2 should've told me something but I always try to give restaurants a chance. I will not ever be going back and really think this place needs some food training regarding prep/ sit times. It's obvious they have been around for very long time just not sure how they have lasted. The staff took pride in what they did in a way I have not seen in years. They are quick to address needs like refills, but are never invasive or annoying. The food was fresh, fast and amazing. I had the smothered beef burrito and it was perfect. My wife had a delightful margarita that was not only made well, but was reasonably priced. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Eric decided to have a taco (3) plate with beans and rice. The tacos were very good. the rice was okay, and the beans were barely okay; tasted like they were from a can. I had huevos rancheros and they were good with green chile. The red seems to have been made with flour....the beans again were the item that didn't taste as homemade. The salsa was not hot but flavorful. The server and hostess were both great. I'd say for the price you will enjoy your visit here. Like many others, for years I've driven by this place and thought "Hm... that looks like a total wild card that I need to add to my hand some day." I finally did this weekend. I am so glad I finally did. I can't tell you how many times I've told my out-of-state peeps, "No, you'd be surprised... For being New Mexico, there's really fairly few choices for hit-the-spot Mexican food..." Sadies comes to mind. Monroes. Los Cuates... But they're so very... New Mexican. On background, I've been a lover of the Mexican food from my earliest and formidable days as a conservative Kansas child, delighting in the Middle-Americanized versions - not too spicy, no weird body parts, no seafood (what the hell is a fish taco?? blech!), American style cheese, not served out of a truck, but surrounded by black velvet oil paintings, and a few rungs above the drive-thru variety (which I also loved). In my adulthood and New Mexican maturity, I began to recognize the sublime delights of the more adventurous and "craft" cuisine and the marvelous contrasting flavors of New Mexican-Mexican. Still, I miss those old days of reliable hit-the-spot Mexican. On foreground, Fiesta's is an honorable tribute to my pined-for favorite Kansas Mexican restaurants, only with a twist of the finest (and obligatory) New Mexican accents - sopapillas and chile! Let me just begin by saying that the chips are SOOO good - not too thin, but light and crispy! And the salsa is WONDERFULLY flavorful without being too weirdly sweet (talking to you, Los Cuates) or too ridiculously spicy (God save me, Sadies), and they're not afraid to give you as much as you want. The menu is enormous, as a good Mexican restaurant's should be (including a huge selection of awesome sounding breakfasts served all day), and wonderfully, refreshingly, amazingly well priced! I can't tell you how marvelous it is for a mother of three to find a menu that still has tons of entree options whose prices start with 6 or 7 or 8, as opposed to 10 or 11 or 12 (I'm talking to you, Monroe's, and your ridiculous $12 cheese enchiladas)! I got the bean stuffed sopapilla and my kid got the cheese enchiladas (stacked, New Mexican style). We both were huminahumina'ing over the refried beans. I really can't bring to mind better, and they've kinda' always been this girl's thang. The rice, too, was an awesome sidekick to the entrees. And, drumroll, our server brought us FOUR sopapillas! What the?? you NEVER get more than one each, and she brought four! Quick shout-out to service. After waiting for an annoyingly long time in the foyer for someone to notice us at 4pm on a Sunday, we were graciously seated and served by a well-trained, matter-of-factly efficient waitress. No entertainment from that one, but she was perfectly effective at her task. The two of us walked out of there completely stuffed for $16 (plus tip). That's unheard of in this town! Why did I put this off for so long? I really do think I found my new favorite fall-back for my not-too-infrequent Mexican Restaurant urge. I highly, highly, highly recommend you give this place a shot next time you're trying to bring to mind a good spot for the "hey, you know what sounds good tonight? Mexican!" itch. read more

The food tasted great, the service was great and the prices were low. However, 6 hours after eating the carne adovado chimichanga, my daughter had explosive diarrhea and vomiting. My husband did not have any problems after the combo plate, I had some stomach upset but no illness. I did have some of her guacamole off of her plate, but that was it . She was miserable. I didn't finish my meal. The place itself is dated. I was told it has been around forever. I am not really sure how or who has been patronizing it. It is seriously NOT good, and I have eaten in some pretty bad restaurants! Who knows, maybe tourists are lulled into it. I know any native New Mexican would not consider this a go to place for New Mexican food. I have seriously had better Mexican food from a frozen dinner. Sorry Fiestas. Ordered the Mexican pizza this is my third time ordering it the first time it was delicious and recently priced the second time it was just okay the crust was very crunchy and sort of burnt. I thought I thought I'd give it one more chance. today the Mexican pizza was not very good they overloaded the top with olives chili and the beans were just okay. The crust was still too crunchy I needed to be softer so it was overcooked a bit. Plus I found the price was too much for what I got. It was almost $11 and I could have gotten something different but it's my fault I didn't look at the menu. I don't recommend the Mexican pizza read more

When we first came to this establishment, there wasn't anyone in the dining room nor were there any employees. We had to walk into the bar area. We celebrated a birthday at Fiesta's this past Saturday evening and we had a wonderful experience!! Not only was the food great, but our server Angelica was fantastic!! She managed out entire party of 14 all on her own and did an amazing job! No one in our party ever had an empty glass, she got everyone's orders right, and had a smile on her face all night!
