I had an excellent experience at Chili's in Albuquerque. The customer service was next level. I mentioned to my server that I was in a hurry and very hungry, and she made sure everything came out quickly. She really went above and beyond, and I wish I could remember her name because she deserves recognition. The food was great, and the ribs were absolutely amazing. I've eaten at other Chili's locations across the US and Mexico, but none have had ribs this good. Overall, I was genuinely impressed with the service, the food, and the entire experience. It's a Chili's. I've been to several of them because they always seem to be conveniently located to the hotel where I am staying. This one was no different, and shared a parking lot with my hotel so I went. I got the full rack of ribs which was pretty good. The macaroni and white cheese was dry; the fries are fries and nothing more. The service was good and efficient. It was a Friday evening, 7:30pm, peak dinner rush. We wanted to come sooner, but kids will affect that. Thankfully, the host sat us as soon as she could, and even sat us at the same booth as last time. We waited for a bit in the booth before I got up to ask for menus. The hostess seem flustered and overwhelmed bc there wasn't a waitlist. She just kept seating every party as they came. Our server arrived very prompt and sweet. I told her it was my bday and asked if I could use 2 promos: free chips and salsa and free bday dessert. She said yes, and if they had a problem, she'd take care of it. It made me feel reassured and special. We ordered the chips and salsa and the kids' meal: 6pc chicken crispers with fries and Mac n Cheese. I highly recommend that for the kids bc their Kid's Menu Mac n Cheese is dry (trash). It was enough to feed the 2 kids and for us to nibble on while we waited for our meals. We ordered the Original Trio (protein) fajitas and the Triple Dipper: Nashville Hot Mozz, Bone-in wings with sweet Asian zing sauce, and chicken crispers with honey Chipotle sauce. We also ordered 2 Dos Equis drafts (~$13 for both, the large is only $0.80 more) and a Flamingo Freeze Margarita ($12)?! Customer service was great, but not excellent. It started of fine until small details happened. The kids' sauces were supposed have BBQ sauce, but we got buffalo sauce. We asked for the BBQ later. We noticed our food was taking awhile, but we chalked it to to bring busy. But our fajitas didn't sizzle lie usual, so it must've sat longer than it should. My Nashville Hot Mozz weren't as hot and crispy like last time, so it was lackluster, and I got BoneLESS wings instead of Bone-IN. But the server did replace it with 8pc, which was nice. The chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream dessert was ok. It was really hard to eat bc it was brittle, dry and dense, but the ice cream helped. When it was time to pay, it took awhile bc the system wouldn't let me use both promos as promised, so I had to wait awhile to get it fixed so I could pay. I'm the end it worked out, but I was losing steam at the end of it. My kids were ready to go home. But I appreciated the server trying her best to fix the mistakes. We got extra chips and salsa and had lots of leftovers. I still recommend this Chili's, but probably not at peak time. read more

It's been a minute since I've found myself getting some Chilis. You know I'll be honest I'm kinda in between a love and hate relationship with fast food right now. Sure it tastes good but the prices McDonald's and the even Taco Bell are charging these days. I'm finding myself opting for more restaurant restaurants such as chilis because for the quality of the food and the value it's just too hard turn away. Chilis is offering right now a pretty hefty Smash Burger that comes with your choice of a size, an appetizer, and a drink all for $11! Taking the first bite of the burger I have to say I was not disappointed. The fries were meh probably because I took it to go and waited to eat it til I got home. I bet they'd tasted better at the restaurant. For the appetizer I chose the enchilada soup. Boy was I surprised when I opened the lid to discover practically an enchilada in a cup lol. I will say it was very appetizing. I'm sorry to say it but fast food y'all are out! The prices have become too hard to justify let alone dealing with the possibility of not getting your order right half the time. It's just not worth it anymore. After waiting over an hour at two different local dives on New Year's Day, the grueling pain of the wait got the best of us and the hubby and I decided to go back to our tried and true roots, Chili's. Our server was Donna sooo exceptional, genuinely kind and friendly, so speedy and helpful! I got a triple dipper (duh) got a cheese pull on my mozz and delighted in a strawberry lemonade. Doesn't get better!! There was a piece of tape in my boyfriend's burger, but when we notified our server she handled it quickly and they comped out burger and remade it. I ordered the shrimp and steak fajitas. The steak is so delicious. Full of flavor and makes a great protein option. The shrimp is grilled and seasoned well. I love the black beans and rice. You also get red and green bell peppers and onions. The tortillas are a perfect size. It comes to the table sizzling. I was so full. And I would definitely have them again. This particular location is a hit or miss. The server and hostess were definitely helpful for my visit. Food was delicious and service was great. There were a few times when I was trying to get my servers attention for simples things. She was tending bar and busy with those at the bar that I had waited so long and lost interest in the visit and wanted to get out. It was not as busy aside from her needing to tend bar. read more

Chain restaurants are not my fave. The best thing about lunch today was our server Lauren. I got the bottomless soup, salad and salsa/chips. The loaded baked potato soup was amazing. The chips were crispy and salsa tasty. The Caesar salad had black spots on the lettuce so Lauren took it back. It came back with black again. I didn't finish it. Sigh. I wish Chili's could get its act together. It's a leftover from a bygone era of fern bars and good times. It used to be a place a party could drop in and enjoy some decent food and margaritas, but it has really stumbled lately. I stopped by after a meeting ran late and I needed some food. The menu had all the traditional favorites. Look, I get it. It's Chili's. I don't expect fine dining. I ordered chicken fingers, and they were fine. I just needed something to fill me up. But geez, I sat at the bar. Two cooks were in the kitchen singing the same verse of a song, over and over, at full volume. Every time they finished, it was "F yeah!" I don't consider myself a prude, but even I get tired of full volume profanity. And they weren't great singers. Bartender was good at getting drinks out, but wasn't much for conversation. Which may have been a good thing because she needed to focus on cleaning the bar. I found it odd that people put their used glasses at her well. And they stayed there. So, management needs to put a little thought into the customer experience. Maybe someone to help the bartender? Control your kitchen? Clean up a little? read more

My GF convinced me against my will to go to chillis on 12/7/24 around 5pm. We went in and stood their awkwardly for a few minutes while the hosts/hostess's ignored us and talked to each other. After a minute or two they decided to acknowledge us and sat us immediately, it was just a bit weird to start. That was the foreshadowing of what was to come.......After being sat I watched waiters/waitresses go to every table surrounding us and in our area but no one ever stopped at our table.....5 minutes, then 10, then 15, meanwhile ever table surrounding had seen a server twice...I was frustrated at 10 minutes and by 15 I was ready to leave.....My GF said be paitent they're busy. I said I've been patient for longer than I want to be already and the waitresses are just standing in the back talking to eachother....then finally after close to 20 minutes a waitress comes to our table grunting/frustrated. She must not have realized we were her table or something happened that the hosts didn't communicate, idk....but she didn't say hi, or sorry for the wait, just grunted and said her name, and what can I get you.......we ordered 2 entrees and a 1/2 order of Texas cheese fries. After 45 minutes I think the waitress could tell we were getting frustrated yet again, now my GF is getting pretty impatient as well......The waitress finally stops by our table for the 1st time in 45 minutes and says the app should be out shortly.....5 minutes later the entrees come out and another guy says sorry your app will be here soon. I said cancel it, it was an app, and our foods already here. Meanwhile I had seen two tables that got their well after us get full orders of the TX cheese fries, so I am guessing the waitress forgot to put it in until the end..... At this point I've said I'll never come back here! The manager happened to be walking around and we hate complaining. never really do it, but I think she could visibly see the frustration in both our faces and came to talk to us. We told her the whole story, and she handled this better than any manager I've seen. She was so caring, very polite, and went above and beyond to ensure we'd leave with a smile. The food is good, but this place needs to hire more servers. We ordered drinks off the menu.Nothing special, and our meal. Then we waited. ...and waited. Eventually, a guy calling himself "just a runner" showed up with our meal. I said, "wait a minute. We haven't even received our drinks yet." ($12. Mixed drinks we expected to have before our meal). He told the waitress and she appeared shortly thereafter with our drinks, apologizing that she was the "only one working and so was the bartender. Waited past the estimated time. Server stated they almost forgot the shrimp pasta. The dinners were barely warm. The bread was rock hard. I ordered off of DoorDash for a place called "it's just wings" apparently it's a restaurant inside of chili's. Their food is amazing I wasn't expecting to much but personally I thought it was better than wing stop and BWW and even better the price was so low. CHILI'S. Typical franchise restaurant with multiple locations throughout Albuquerque. This one, on Menaul Blvd near the busy Uptown shopping area, is always busy. Food is typical. Never had a bad meal here, but never had an outstanding one either. Although the food is satisfactory, the service is generally great. The servers (at least the ones I've had) all work hard to make your experience at Chili's a really good one. They have been trained well. Although there are many high-end restaurants in the ABQ area, if you want a reasonable meal with good service, Chili's on Menaul Blvd should be on your list of choices. read more

I haven't been here alot but the location on Wyoming/Paseo del Norte has been challenging to say the least . This location on Menaul/ Louisiana has really stepped it up. The servers have all been friendly and courteous. They've even made really great suggestions when we're stumped on what to eat. It's bright inside and I'm always seeing the tables being cleaned. My hubby and I love to sit in the bar, it's open seating there, so we avoid wait times plus we watch the occasional game. Oh, yes, we'll come back here. read more

About a month ago my son and I had lunch at Chili's on menaul and Wyoming. I inadvertently overpaid by $10 after leaving a 20% tip. I brought it to the Manager's attention and he agreed. He proceeded to return the overpayment to my CC. I waited over a week but the credit never appeared. I returned and he tried again. Still no credit. I went back a third time and simply requested a gift card. The young lady manager gave me $20 in gift cards for my trouble. The 5 stars is for friendly and heartfelt customer service. To be fair I was warned by the reviews... first off the service was good. Our waiter was super nice and brought out our drinks right away and got our orders. Now for the not so great.. I got the brisket quesadillas which are a decent size it's about 8 triangles stuffed with brisket and cheese. These were okay... they were a bit on the room temp side like they either didn't get reheated enough or sat to long but I was starving and the flavors were decent. I also got to try the rolls and the Buffalo chicken quesadilla and these were pretty good. However as we were eating our friend found some strands of hair cooked into his hamburger meat... and although the server was really nice and fixed the problem it was enough to leave me grossed out and on top of that our drink cups were all sort of greasy on the outside and looked like they'd only been rinsed and not actually washed... so ultimately the service was okay but in general they need to up their cleanliness and quality control. read more

The absolute worst!!! This place is an embarrassment. I literally checked the time before we left my house. It was 10 o'clock., we got to Chili's at 10:15 and by the time we made it in it was about 42 minutes before close. There was plenty open tables and nobody waiting. The two young girls looked at me and my girlfriend and told us it would be a 30 minute wait, while looking at each other giggling, when we told them we would wait. They told us well. We close in 30 minutes soooo... and did not want to sit us, I told them they don't close for over 40 minutes... I said we will just sit at the bar, I seen there was open seats at the bar. They told us that was not allowed lol and we had to wait to sit there as well. I told them since when did they change the open seat policy at the bar? They lied to us about the wait time and refused us service at 10:18 on a Friday night!!! almost 45 minutes before close. I absolutely pathetic pathetic.. then try to embarrass me and my girlfriend in front of the restaurant when I asked to speak to the manager who never showed up and never came out to speak to us, if I could give this place a negative review I would it's absolutely pathetic. I mean you own a restaurant and you can't sit a party of two on a Friday night at 10:15 really really what a joke! I recently ordered takeout from this Chilli's location. I had not been to a Chili's in many years. Sadly, I don't think I will be returning. I ordered the chicken crispers with fries and coleslaw. I thought the coleslaw was horrible. I'm used to coleslaw being tangy and sweet. This coleslaw was very bland and dry. I added some thousand island to it and it made it more edible. The chicken crispers were just okay. Nowhere near as good as a Raising Cane's. I'm actually counting the days until they open a Canes here in Albuquerque. I got the honey mustard dipping sauce which was good but they only gave me about half of a container. The best thing about my order was the fries which were very tasty. read more

Even more, at this particular Uptown location, we've been returning fans for many years simply for one reason: the people. Great way to the end the night! Watched 'Sound of Freedom' beforehand and eating at this Chili's was such a relaxer!! Our waiter, Austin, was literally amazing!! My sister was ready to drive to the nearest ATM and check out $50 to tip the man! So attentive and nice and genuine my family didn't want to night to end!! Mango tea was delish and my sisters buffalo sauce was superb! It was yummy and she is an expert at her buffalo sauces! My buffalo chicken San which was tasty also I ate the whole thing up! My brothers pasta was also tasty, no flaws. My moms corn was good! And she knows her way around some street corn!
