I went yesterday and if I didn't already have dinner plan for this evening, I would go back today my sandwich was so good. I had the Apollo 13 8" (pinners) sandwich and it was delicious, the juice from the dressing was running down my hand and yet, the sandwich still wasn't soggy or wet and the bread was perfectly toasted. I can't recall the last time I drunk Kool-Aid, but once I saw the flavors available, I filled my cup with the three flavors and headed to the table to wait for the server to bring my sandwich. It was not huge in a bad way, but just enough to be satisfying and filling. the staff was friendly and as I was waiting for my sandwiches I realized that this place is very cannabis friendly, from the Thanks for Pot Smoking sign to the 420-day promotion they are running. Full bar and lots of daily drink special. Nice varieties of chips at $2 a bag but I think that's average for a small bag of chips at a restaurant They sit next to a pizza restaurant and I believe share an outside patio. I sat inside and couldn't tell what the patio section really looked like and since pollen season is among us, it'll be October before I can find out. Recently, we checked out this spot for delivery as we always love a good *toasted*sand. We ordered the Pakalolo and the KGB along with Goo Balls. Both sandwiches were great and their own respect - the Paka being juicier, but the KGB, being the standout in terms of flavor. If I were to be candid, we were less than impressed with the amount of meat and veggies on the sandwiches. Not certain if this was due to a being delivered. When I saw the paid parking here I said maybe I should just forget it. Despite that I paid and went in and the food is so good! I frequent Cheba Hut in Colorado and this was my first time in Atlanta trying them! The a train (marinara mushroom on garlic bread) was delicious! And the notchos were too! 1st thing you gotta know - they validate parking - just inside the door on the left hand side is a tablet - all good it's the little things that make a difference- this place is incredibly "fun" inside - you totally get that your basically on a college campus - a great bar - I will go back for a cold beer next time. And they even had Bob Ross playing on the big screen - too fun. But today was all about the 2 Subs - toasted bread makes all the difference and fresh ingredients- taste is so awesome when everything is fresh. We had the AK-47 absolutely delicious and the Au Jus was great - this is where most places that make a similar sandwich get it wrong - not here it was just right for dipping (French dip) meat was tender and all the ingredients right on time (my only issue was the portobello mushrooms were not grilled they were thick sliced and uncooked- I would prefer grilled and just a tad thinner - but that's me) overall I would order this again for sure. We also had the 5-0 Delicious... all my faves perfectly sliced and topped with fresh lettuce, onion, tomato and love that giardiniera - totally recommend these two sandwiches- oh yeah and they have Kool-Aid ya'll - had to have some fruit punch and it wasn't syrupy sweet thank goodness- can't wait to go back give it a shot they are open till Midnight . Just great subs. They have a large menu board with a sub sure to satisfy everyone. All subs come toasted, and are offered in 4", 8" and 12" lengths. I got the Blunt Midwest Best (12" club) on white bread and didn't add out remove any toppings. The others in my group had a chicken bacon ranch and an Italian. We were all quite satisfied. Service was good, and good came out quicker than expected... they have a sign that says "it's a miracle if you get your food in less than 5 minutes...", i don't think it took that long, but they weren't very busy at 6pm Sunday evening when we arrived, although there was steady traffic, the line never really backed up while we were there. The atmosphere is chill as you may expect at a marijuana themed sandwich shop. There are marijuana themed murals, some pro smoking signs, and a generally inclusive urban vibe. I ate too quickly to grab a photo of the sandwich but I did get the menu board. Definitely give them a shot in you're in west midtown, and I hope to try the Athens location soon. read more

Great outdoor patio for sitting in the Atlanta area. The patio has direct access to the bar and they will bring the food out to you without issue. We sometimes take our pig to eat here with us and some dogs also partake on the patio if you happen to have one. The food here is pretty great. Lots of great options if you're vegan, or vegetarian as well. Service is usually quick and friendly. I only wish they had more drink options, right now they have teas and Pepsi products along with some Kool-Aid punch or lemonade which I can't drink. My usual goto is the Italian or "The Kind", which is a turkey sandwich with lots of topping options. All their sandwiches have lots of toppings, so when you order, just make sure you remove what you can. +++++++ If you are ordering takeout or food delivery ++++++++ I'd recommend getting any "dressing" on the side or any wet toppings on the side if you want to avoid having a soggy sandwich. I'm hardcore opposed to soggy sandwiches and these sandwiches don't keep when they are drenched in salad dressing pretty much. We ordered three small sandwiches to try. All were very good but probably the kind would be our favorite. It had turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and mushrooms. Very tasty with a nice sub roll. We also ordered the AK-47 which is French dip. It was good with the dip but we wished the meat was a little more tender and thin and had horseradish on it. The last sandwich we ordered was the power plant with spicy jalapeño hummus, guac, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, feta cheese and black olives. This was a good sandwich as well but a little light on the flavor. The service was good. A foodie friend suggested this spot since he's been here a couple of times. Cheba Hut had a chill and hipster vibe. I guess the theme of this spot is marijuana. He said each new thing he has tried has never disappointed. Plus, the bar was a great addition to the great food. The hash can (alcoholic drink if you're wondering) was amazing. To me, it was like a nice version of a long island. If you're having a crappy time and need a pick me up, this will put a smile on your face: appear, flavor, and alcoholic content. It had a can of Red Bull (literally too), gin, tequila, vodka, and rum. There's even a warning that says limit 2 per customer. I was def a happy camper after consuming it. The loaded not'chos were great. It was a little salty with the Doritos chips but still oh so very tasty. The cheddar cheese, ranch, and hot sauce made it messy to consume, but when is nachos not messy? The black olives, jalapenos, and slivers of red onions elevated the dish a bit. You have the option to have one or two bags of Doritos (the two bag is pictured) with chicken being added (our did not have any). The G-13 was really good on garlic bread. It was great to be able to choose either a four, eight, or twelve inch sandwich size. The turkey and roast beef complemented each other well. The chipotle mayo and shake & house dressing (no idea what this means) added really great moisture and flavors. The bread was perfectly toasted with the garlic flavor adding to the final touch of the sandwich. You can also get your parking validated up to one hr. Happy one-year anniversary to Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs' Atlanta location. It opened exactly one year ago today on October 5, 2020. I enjoyed the sandwiches I had from here. This is like a much better Quiznos. Cheba Hut is a marijuana-themed chain that's been around since the first location opened in Tempe, Arizona in January 1998. This location in Atlanta is so far the only location in Georgia. Currently, the only other Southern states you'll find a Cheba Hut are Arkansas, Florida, and Louisiana. This Cheba Hut is located on the ground level of the Paloma West Midtown student apartment building near Georgia Tech. Cheba Hut will validate parking in the Paloma garage for one hour. There's a validation code that changes daily. You have to go inside the store to get the code. It's written on a sign near the registers. You don't have to deal with validating your parking if you're just headed inside to pick up. If you've put in and paid for a takeout order using the app or website, you can pull into any parking spot in the garage and give the store a call and they'll bring your order out. There are signs posted in the garage, but if you need their number for "curbside" service, call 470-698-2783. Cheba Hut's storefront faces Marietta St NW. The parking garage is accessible around the corner on Boss St NW. Same block. This Cheba Hut is fairly spacious with an indoor dining room, a full-service indoor-outdoor bar, and a patio. This is a casual sub shop that's decorated in a sort of "stoner" and "hippy" fashion. For example, there's a colorful mural depicting The Wizard of Oz characters and a MARTA bus getting high. Stickers are plastered at the ordering line. The fountain drink machine says "Cotton Mouth" [Cures] on it. I think the wraparound bar looks pretty cool with its pink ambient lighting and button cushion stools. Most sandwiches are priced by the size, not the type. Here were the prices during my visit: * 4-inch Nug - $5.99 * 8-inch Pinner - $8.99 * 12-inch Blunt - $11.69 * Sub as salad - $9.99 There were nearly 30 sandwich and 20 sauce options. They make their own sauces in-house. When I visited, the first employee I spoke to was busy mixing a sauce. Unlike other restaurants, I appreciate that Cheba Hut's menu actually specifies - at least, to a certain extent - what's in their special sauces: * Cheba Shake sauce - Parmesan, oregano, and proprietary Cheba spice blend * House Dressing - vinaigrette with Cheba Shake In addition to sandwiches, Cheba Hut offers "munchies" -- snacks, apps, and sides like their versions of Rice Krispies Treats, nachos, and pretzel bites. Everything is affordably priced. I used the website on my phone to order three sandwiches, all 8-inch Pinner size ($8.99 each). They were: * 5-0 (All the Pig, Baby!) - smoked ham, Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, giardiniera pepper, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressing * Kali Mist (Spicy Club) - roasted turkey breast, bacon, chipotle mayo, jalapeno, avocado, pepperjack, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressing * AK-47 (French Dip) - roast beef, portobello, onion, shrooms, double provolone & Shake dressing, served with a side of au jus I thought all of the sandwiches were tasty. The one that stood out to me was the Kali Mist. It was really good and I think the chipotle mayo had a lot to do with it. The ingredients in all of the sandwiches were fresh. Every bite of the Kali Mist was very delicious and satisfying. If you want a good, filling, yummy, and gratifying sandwich, it's definitely one to get. I highly recommend it. When I ordered the 5-0, I was trying to decide between that and the La Canna (Italian). The 5-0 came with a lot more meat, which is why I went with it, but the La Canna looks good too. The La Canna also comes with black olives by default, which the 5-0 does not. However, at an additional cost, you can customize and add toppings to any sandwich. The 5-0 just didn't hit me the same way the Kali Mist did. If I gave each of the sandwiches individual star ratings, I'd give the Kali Mist a five and the 5-0 and AK-47 fours. I love a good French dip sandwich and I thought Cheba Hut's version was good. Admittedly, it wasn't among the best French dips I've had, but I thought it was still worth ordering. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it seemed to be missing something. It had all the right ingredients, though, including rich, melted provolone and umami-packed mushrooms, which I like. I used the three sandwiches as an opportunity to try all three of Cheba Hut's proprietary breads. I had White on the AK-47 (French dip), Garlic Herb on the 5-0 (pork), and wheat on the Kali Mist (spicy club). I thought all three breads tasted fine. Not one type of bread stood out to me from another. According to Cheba Hut's menu, their breads are hand-rolled and hand-scored (cut). Service was excellent. My online order was ready in less than 10 minutes on a Tuesday around 7:30pm. read more
