I so badly wanted to give this place more than 5 chances but every time has been worse and worse. Overpriced and slowest service I have ever experienced for a sandwich shop. For so many workers being on staff you would think the service would be a bit faster. Waiting 30 minutes for one sandwich (regardless if the crowd is small or large) that cost $16 is wild. read more

I come to cheba hut all the time especially this location the food and service is always wonderful. On this particular day I went into to sit at the bar and enjoy a good sandwich but I was very suprised how horrible it was. I believe the bartenders name was Liz. It took almost an hour for my sandwich to come out, which is crazy for it being mid day and not busy at all. Not only was the food so slow, but the service from the bartender was absolutely horrendous. Liz was so rude to me when I was trying to just have a conversation with her. Then when I brought up my food taking a bit, THAT WAS A MISTAKE. I didn't think her attitude could get worse, but it did. She proceeded to argue with me about why my sandwich AND DRINKS were taking so long. I don't know if I want to come back because of this unfortunately. Ambiance is a pot head theme. Way overpriced chips. Are you high? 3x more than they should be. They make you order by exact name. That is you can't order the Italian sub, it has to be the Canna. Same thing with sandwich size. All in drug terms. Where do you think you are, the 1970s? Sandwich was good, skipped the chips and drink again, overpriced. This location officially sucks. I went their opening week and they were short staffed, had a lunch rush, lost orders etc. They offered a refund, which I accepted, and left without my food. It's been about 4 weeks and I never got my refund. Despite this, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back today, stood in line for about 15 mins while they took two orders. I finally get up there and they're telling me they're only taking cash. You'd think in the time they realized their pos isn't connecting, someone would half the brainpower to post a sign saying they're only accepting cash. I hate writing a bad review, but what I experienced today was unacceptable. I placed an order for two sandwiches to be picked up at 1:03, but I ended up waiting for 40 minutes. When I received my sandwiches, both were made incorrectly and there was a hair in one. So many customers were upset and waiting, so I am hopeful they can fix their system and maybe have the staff wear hairnets. I am so disappointed. I live nearby and was hoping for so much better. The hair (in photo) grossed me out so I ended up just throwing the whole thing in the trash. Just as an update- no one ever emailed me back. What a fun place to eat at! The atmosphere is casual and trendy. There is a small bar inside for drinks, you walk up and order your sandwhich and then the staff brings it to you. The food was fresh and so delicious. I ate the G-13 which was amazing, my friend got the Panama Red which she loved. And for desert we got the krispy bars. SO delicious! My boyfriend had shared me this place on the Internet, and there is one in Deep Ellum, and one in the Addison/Pano area. I happened to talk to the owner Jasmine and she was really really sweet and she let me know on Fridays they have karaoke. They also have a happy hour and on Tuesdays. It is trivia night as well as Tuesday I believe all day long it's 25% off your order for people in the service industry people. If you are out and about in Addison or Plano area please stop by and get a sandwich. They are some of the nicest people and just happy and dancing around and they make a superior product and have an amazing selection of items to choose from.! I wish I could give this a higher review. I like the food a lot but you cannot trust them. The first three times I went, after work late, around 11-11:30 I was served with a smile and everyone was great. Tonight I stopped to get food at 11:30... and was told by both the bartender and the guy in the kitchen that the kitchen was closed. So I guess depending on who is working they can just close when they want to and turn you away. So I won't go there any longer... if I can't trust you, your website, your advertisements that say you're open until midnight then you cannot be trusted in many other ways. read more

I placed an online order from Cheba Hut this afternoon. The food was great, as always, but that's not what really stood out to me. I placed the order at around 4:00 for pickup at 6:15. I ended up getting there at a little after 6:00. The manager, Deshaun Mitchell, told me that the order had already been made by mistake at the time the order was placed, so they were in the process of making me a fresh order. A lower-quality establishment might have tried to pass off the prematurely made order. Then he was happy to let me take the premature order rather than them just throwing it away. (I didn't want to waste food that good!) I had ordered a cookie for my wife. Deshaun let me know that the cookies were just coming out of the oven and needed to cool for a few minutes, so he gave me the option of either waiting or switching to a different dessert. (I stuck with the cookie, which was a good thing, because my wife was delighted to have a hot, melty chocolate chip cookie.) During this whole time, Deshaun chatted with me, making me feel very welcome. The order was ready at 6:15 on the dot. Overall, it was top-notch service! read more
