Went on a Saturday afternoon in March 2026. it was not very busy but a few people there. The service was fine and the kitchen worked fast. I had just water and was given a plastic cap and I think this is the norm but I think they should be using glasses plastic cups cheapen the brand. Food I had a fried chicken sandwich but I subbed for a grilled chicken it was 3 out of 5 but perhaps the fried chicken patty would have been better. My daughter had the steak nachos and hers was very good. I preferred her food over mine. I would go again but get the nachos. read more

Stopped by Brass Tap to catch the Mavs game. It was a little hard to find initially, as it's tucked into the middle of the shopping center. We each had a beer flight which I'm glad the waitress told us about, as I didn't see it on the menu anywhere and it appears the regulars beside us didn't know about it either. Anyways, we just got that and the fried shrimp basket to share . They have a pretty solid beer menu, but if that's not your thing, they also have a limited wine and cocktail menu for you. The beer flight choices I got were : Freaky Deaky, Honey Kolsch, Cali Squeeze and Bishop Dark Cider My favs out of those, were the Dark Cider and Cali Squeeze, the Kolsch and Freaky Deaky were also good just wouldn't be able to drink a whole glass of them as I'm not a big beer drinker so they were a bit stronger tasting for me. I'm a big fan of this spot. It's the epitome of a neighborhood bar where you can even bring your kids and it's somehow acceptable. You can even leave them outside to play on the playground while you come in here and enjoy a cold one. Actually I'm not a parent, so excuse my ignorance if that's not a good idea. But great beer selection with super knowledgeable and friendly bartenders and servers. There was a live music when I went, which gave it a fun atmosphere. And I went with the intent of watching the UFC fights that unfortunately weren't played there but luckily the bartenders pointed me in the right direction and were super nice about it. Gave this place a shot with some buddies: The good- it has a nice patio with plenty of seating and when the weather is good, it can be a cool place to hang out. Bunch of big TVs so you can catch the game no matter where you are sitting. Large selection of beers to choose from. Chips and queso aren't bad, same goes for the pretzels. Nice chill vibe. The bad- the service could probably use some improvement. Drink orders were incorrect and would come out extremely slow, wait staff wouldn't know how to punch in a cocktail order, it just seemed like things were a little unorganized. It was easier for me to just drink the wrong beer that was brought to me because I didn't know if I'd ever get the correct one. I don't fault the wait staff on this- I think this is more of a management issue of not training their staff properly before they send them out to wait on patrons. This is hands down my husband's and my favorite Brass Tap! Great set-up indoors and out! Wonderful selection of craft beers and the food is very good! The staff is willing to help you choose a beer that might become a new favorite. The service is attentive without being intrusive...sometimes hard to get just that right mix. The indoors is spacious with plenty of seating. The patio is large and has both shade and fans with mist! I believe they have heaters for those colder days . . . when they finely come. ;) It is a bit in the center of the "plaza" shopping strip so it is hard to find from your car. Just look for the playground toward the back of the center area of this shopping and the Brass Tap is on the East side and in the middle. Great view of the grassy center plaza. Well worth the find! Ordering food and asking for crisp fries i would think is normal for a business to adjust. Instead i get undercooked fries. We had a neighborhood event here and it was so great. We had most of the patio and watch the kids play. The waitress did a great job of keeping track of the different tabs and $1,000 worth of food and drinks went a long way. This is the second time we've been here. The first time we sat at the bar and had drinks. They were not that knowledgeable about the different drinks that were offered. We decided to come back and sit at a table and get some happy hour drinks and some food. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the drinks nor the food or Specials. The food came out mediocre. I got one of the grilled cheese gourmet sandwiches. Three times the bread compared to the cheese inside. We also order the nachos as an appetizer. They were piled high but the cheese was primarily in the center and not spread out among all of the chips. Which in turn made them very soggy. We will not be returning. The general service was rude and the food was not great. We had empty dirty plates on our table that never got picked up. There were flies everywhere. read more

I wanted to love it, but came away disappointed. Love the setting. It's a great patio, lots of TVs, can see it would be fun to watch a game. However the food was really lacking. Chips and salsa seemed as if it was from a bag of Tostitos and the salsa tasted jarred. Burger seemed as if it was a preformed patty, very thin, and was very undercooked and flavorless. There was one sad piece of bacon on it that was weirdly stringy. Hubs got the steak tacos and also said they were just ok. He also felt like there was no seasoning on the steak. Also tried the tots appetizer. Pulled pork was very fatty and more of a slow cooked crock pot version, not smoked barbecue, which is fine but again flavorless and disappointing. Did love the Brussels sprouts. Service was ok. They were new but trying. She had to ask the kitchen several questions, like whether or not they had iced tea. But I get it. You're new and learning. Would have loved to have our drinks refilled a little more but again I know they're all busy. Also thought the silverware was odd. We had to ask for some to begin with and we're handed plasticware like you get in a high school cafeteria, wrapped in a baggie with a sad little napkin. I know we're in a covid world but real silverware is something I think is reasonable to have nowadays, especially for the overall price of the meal instead of tossing a bunch of plastic into a landfill. Highly doubt we will be back, but hope you succeed. We need restaurants in that area for sure. read more

The bartender was very friendly and attentive. They had the place opened up to the outside. This is great when the weather permits but it was quite cold that night so I was a bit uncomfortable. Overall a good experience but could be better. I plan on returning as I figure they will improve with a bit more experience. They've only been open a few weeks and are working out the kinks. read more
