I love Cheba Hut! Have come here for years and never reviewed until now. Yes, it's cannabis themed and it's just an all around good vibe! The fam wanted sandwiches and we ended up here tonight. It was pretty busy and there was a line that moved pretty quick. We got 4 nugs, drinks, chips and munchies. Total came out to almost $60. Not cheap but the food is good and *usually* made correct. There is 3 different Koolaids on TAP! The munchies are delicious! I really like the captain crunch treat. I usually get the Midwest best and it's perfect. Years ago, I ordered a custom Sticky Icky from their Flagstaff location (it is now closed), with the addition of fried Pineapple. I am forced to conclude that if there was anything Properly Fried in your Restaurant, my Order wasn't it, for the Pineapple was uncooked, and if they didn't have a cooking element in the restaurant, they should have mentioned it when I ordered! Have gone to this location for years and have had nothing but great experiences. Last night was different unfortunately. Placed an order through the app. We arrived and went to the online order pickup sign. The girl there sent me away, without checking the orders behind her mind you, to the phone order section despite me giving her my name and telling her mine was online. My wife and I were extremely confused and walked away. Where we supposed to wait for our name to be called or something? After a few moments I then walked up to the girl again to clarify and asked her to actually check. She looked and had our order the whole time and didn't bother when we first approached her. When we got in the car we made sure to check our order and we didn't get the correct dressing for the salad . My wife had to go back in to get it. I definitely didn't appreciate the confusion and inaccurate order. You shouldn't have to work so hard to get the items you paid for. read more

This quickly became my favorite sub places when I moved to Arizona. Not only is their food delicious and atmosphere chill, but they also named all their subs after cannabis strands. Cheba hut sandwiches are more than a sandwich, they pack so much flavor in between those buns, that i'd consider them as superior subs. This location is our go to because it is conveniently located close to our home (across from Glendale Community College and behind the Starbucks). It's a great spot for a quick lunch or a casual dinner, especially since this location recently added a nice bar to the back of the establishment! It's a pretty groovy addition to the place. They offer 3 sizes (NUGG, PINNER, BLUNT) or you can make it into a salad. The sizes compared to other competitors are a bit larger (4", 8", 12"). If you wanna split a blunt is a great option for 2 people to get a 6" sub each, I always do this for lunch with a coworker or a friend and it's such a great deal we add chips & drink to jazz up the meal. The garlic herb bread is so delicious, I'd highly recommend it. My go to sandwich recommendations include the White Widow & the Kali Mist. Cheba hut uses quality products in every sandwich, you can taste the freshness in their veggies and in their meats. They toast the sandwiches and also top with their own Cheba Shake (Parmesan& oregano). Lastly, the vibe and energy that I've had with each employee on separate occasions have been super pleasant and upbeat and I've even gotten some goodies for free and that really makes someone's day that much sweeter so thanks y'all! Yum!!! This place is delish. My husband tried the French dip, it was great except some enormous pieces of portobello mushrooms in it. I had a Turkey bacon with house dressing. It could've used a bit more dressing or some mayo, but the bread was fresh and the flavor was good. We also had some watermelon kool-aid. Doesn't get much better than that! We will definitely be back to try some more interesting sandwiches. read more

Went in on 420, I got the Thai stick, it was super good, service was super fast for as busy as they were, plenty to look at around the shop as they have cool stickers everywhere, you can also get cool witch is a nice option, I really enjoyed my sandwich, I'll definitely return. read more

I found this gem, its a pot person's paradise, but none of that for me I got the 5-0 and it was so good, the people that works here r fun and very helpful in will definitely be back oh and I almost forgot they have a bar on the far side of the restraint. Ordered online and grabbed some sandwiches from this place and daaang were they good! Being a vegetarian, I'm used to some super boring sandwich options, but Cheba Hut has some awesome vegetarian/vegan options that you can customize to your tastes. I grabbed the Humboldt and added some banana peppers and mustard for a little kick and I ate every bit of the sandwich in about 15 minutes. I got medium sized 8 inch on the garlic bread and it's a fairly good portion if you're hungry. You can also break it into two meals if you're not starving which is good too~ Only downside was that my friend, who ordered a sandwich with me, asked for his sandwich with no giardiniera peppers and ended up with them in there. He liked his sandwich as well but stated that the peppers definitely made it less appetizing for him. My kiddo introduced me to Cheba Hut. Who doesn't love a delicious sub and rice krispie treat? But I was amused that he also was drawn to the kitschy menu with a lot of references to MJ. In fact, I was amused that he knew so much, but over the years I keep coming to this place. With him, without him, and last week with my boss! The evening crew at Cheba Hut displayed a very rude, ugly and hateful demeanor. As a result, I certainly would tell all members of the public to visit a different sub shop for a better experience. I would not recommend Cheba Hut. Drive a mile down the road and visit Firehouse Subs or a mile up the road to Jersey Mike's Subs. It should be a better experience at a different sub shop. It would even be better to visit the Country Market IV fuel station inside the convenience store for their sub shop at 61st & Northern. Cheba Hut has lost my business. It doesn't matter how good the sub is if the staff can't treat people with decency, respect or courtesy. I won't return because of the awful experience I had at their location. Interesting place. Loved the crusty bread. The sandwich itself had too much teriyaki and buffalo sauce, masked the flavor of everything else on the sandwich.
