I stopped into Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers in Peoria with the family the other day and had a decent but not spectacular experience. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger with an extra patty. The burger itself was juicy and cooked well, and the double patty gave it some solid heft. However, the toppings felt a bit lacking, the mushrooms and swiss cheese were there but pretty sparse, and it could have used a little more flavor and generosity in the topping department to really shine. The bun was fine, nothing special. The kids lemonade was... well, giant. It's basically a pitcher for a child. While the grandkids were thrilled with the size, I thought it was way too much sugary liquid for them. One of those could easily replace an entire day's worth of sugar intake for a little one. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual and lively. Prices were about what you'd expect for a burger spot. We were seated immediately and our server was friendly, attentive, and answered all of our questions! This looks like a fun place to watch the game, they have at least 5 TVs in any direction that you look. We tried the buffalo mozzarella sticks, I was hoping for a long cheese pull but unfortunately they were a little cold when they came out. I enjoyed the sauce and blue cheese though! The fries and onion rings were okay. My veggie patty was (I believe) made in-house and was kind of falling apart while I ate, but if you're vegetarian - you know this is pretty standard for in-house veggie patties. My husband & I went to watch the game & to see what happy hour specials they have for game day which was on select drinks only & not on appetizers unfortunately. We placed our order for beer & margarita which was taking longer than usually & noticed the other table drinks came before ours which had 6 people compared to just 2 people. People love this place but it just didn't do it for me. This was our second time here and I was just overall disappointed with this meal. I asked for medium but it was definitely over cooked and dry. My boyfriend's burger came with bacon after asking for no bacon. The onion rings were good though! We sat in the patio since we had our dog but our waiter only came to check on us once after we ordered. We had to ask another server for more water & the check. My wife and I went to Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers after watching the movie Solo Mio which we highly recommend. My wife had the Mushroom Cheeseburger and I had the Bacon, PB&J Cheeseburger. My wife loved her cheeseburger and I loved mine as well. I have never had such a unique flavor combination on a cheeseburger but it was delicious. With our burgers we both got their homemade potato chips which were well cooked and crispy. We sat out on the patio about 9:00pm and it was a comfortable temperature and about 4 patrons had their dogs with them on the patio and they were all so cute and well behaved. Our waitress was very attentive and our service was excellent. The prices of the burgers were reasonable and we both had some draft beers that were also reasonably priced. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely go back many times. read more

I wanted a great burger. Just got off work wanting to chill and study. I was greeted and sat in a booth. They are not about 3 or 4 tables in and outside of restaurant. No waitress came for over 10 minutes. Once I started to leave did the hostess say hey has anyone checked this customer. I kept walking. I came here with my too cool for school teenager. We saw a movie and decided to stop by. Very nice ambiance. Sports bar feel. Plenty of screens around. My only complaint which they can't help is the fight of the flies. We originally wanted to sit outside on the patio as they had screens, misters, and fans going but the flies bullied us back inside lol. Nevertheless, it was before we were served our food. My son got the Oreo milkshake and a build your own burger as he is a very picky eater. He then sucked down the milkshake before I could take a pic of its beauty. This is the 2nd location of the chain we've been to. This one had way better service but the food? Not so much Our waitress was amazing and very attentive. I ordered my standard Irish coffee. It arrived hot and perfect. I had the Bacon LT with tots. So. Much. Bacon! The tots were also crispy. Hubs had the pastrami Reuben with a salad. The sandwich was big enough that he brought half home. The salad was brown. The lettuce was so gross! The food runner had to have seen it! I told our waitress to tell the kitchen to retire the bagged salad. She apologized. Didn't remove it from the bill though. I had a 2nd Irish coffee. This one, the waitress didn't make and it had BAILEY'S in it. Ugh!! This place has gone downhill because of management. The manager Seth (that's the name I was given) is on a clear power trip and selectively enforces rules. I've watched people be obnoxious, loud and disruptive with zero consequences but the moment my Latino friends and I are enjoying ourselves (not even rowdy), we're kicked out. A sports bar should feel loud and welcoming, not like you're being judged for who you are. If you don't fit the manager's idea of "acceptable," don't expect to be treated like a paying customer. Bartenders deserve better leadership, and customers deserve better treatment. Spend your money somewhere that respects everyone. read more

5 stars because this place is happening! We came in on a Saturday at lunch. What caught my eye was the upbeat atmosphere and the spacious outdoor seating. If you are looking for a great place to meet up with friends, this place is it! We were immediately seated indoors near an open door. The open ambiance and cool misters were just what the doctor ordered. The staff were friendly and attentive. And wow, they have quite an extensive food menu and their beer menu is stellar! There has to be something here for everyone! Okay, they are Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, so I'll have the All American cheeseburger. This was the only downside. In all honesty, I have had much better. I loved the large patty, but it lacked seasoning. Also, I would have preferred my bun to be toasted, or at least warm. Still the festive atmosphere, beautiful open air dining and great service made the experience a hit with me. There are so many other great things on the menu that I would love to try! read more

The burger had 9 flavorless, a little dry and not seasoned at all. I was so sad cuz again I was so hungry and I really wanted to love ColdBeers . I opted for Onion Rings. Bad choice, greasy, soggy, some strange season all over and some tasted tooo dang salty ( Gross ) . . Server did not come as often as I hoped to check up on us, it was not like the place was slammed , LOTS of open tables. When she asked and I mentioned very nicely ( I did not want her to yell or scolded me like I was 5 years old ) ,she (REGAN) acted like it was my fault for not saying anything. How can I if you were nowhere to be found. I really wanted to love this place. Food is very sub par, wayyy over priced . I could have made better at home . The Only thing I actually like was the Grilled Asparagus Spears $10.95 , All American Burger $15.95 with Onion Rings $2.50 . Thick patty and absolutely delicious. Hubby enjoyed the bacon bleu burger on a pretzel bun with tots ($3 extra) which had bleu cheese crumbles / bacon / tomatoes / baby greens / avocado / caramelized onions / chef's mayo. He felt the pretzel bun was a bit too thick but otherwise enjoyed. Lastly, the Open Pit burger which had cheddar / pepper jack / bacon / onion ring / bbq sauce. Served with extra crispy house chips and a cold beer. If you sit outside, the misters were going full blast. They turned them off after a while but bring a jacket cause they were chilly! Came on Sunday 3/12/23 my friend ordered the cheeseburger w/ fries. She said the burger was okay but was so-so on the fries. I ordered the chicken burger, w/ bacon, an egg over easy b/c most places will overcook an over medium egg (it was still served over cooked). I added pepper Jack cheese w/ tots. The eggs were cooked over hard, the lettuce edges were wilted and brown (zoom in)-I had to remove it. The tots were undercooked so I took them home & put them in the air fryer to crisp them up. I also had an avocado wedge but it was hard & seemed very under ripe so as much as I love avocados, I couldn't eat it (sad face). 3stars due to price point. Customer service was good for an empty Sunday afternoon however, if you're paying $18+ for a burger it should be well served. Period. Server was very quick with us grabbed the menu while still telling them what we wanted. We then received our order. Burger had an odd flavor halfway through and the tenders were a no go server never came to ask how the food was just brought us drinks and left then came back to bring us the check charged us then proceeded to ask if we needed a box for the food which we then responded with a solid no.we also got to be in the background pictures of the front desk attendant that was taking selfies the whole time and telling another customer about bars that allow fake ids.
