We LOVE Cheba Hut! Which is why we were so disappointed with our pick up order today. It was two large chicken/ranch/bacon salads. One without onions. Plus, extra cheese and bacon on both. Both had extra BURNT bacon and even more onion than burnt bacon. Last time they forgot one of our salads all together but offered to hold onto it for pick up. I'm not gonna lie.. we're probably gonna keep going because a majority of the time, the food is absolutely incredible. I just hope they get more consistent. read more

Absolutely the best toasted subs in Chandler that I've had. I always go with a Midwest best which is amazing each and every time. Their service is always fast and friendly and you could look at the walls and stickers for hours. Highly recommend their munchies too if you have a sweet tooth. read more

First time l stepped into this eatery concept and l liked it! We ordered at the counter, menu is up above our head. Easy choices, three types of bread, white, wheat or garlic. Garlic for Both of us. I got a Humboldt veggie sandwich medium size with shrooms, sprouts, tomato, avocado speead. Ron picked the Alcapulco Gold, chicken sandwich. We were served quickly in casual plastic baskets. It is like a Subway with a full bar and a 420 atmosphere. Desserts and small bites are listed under "Munchies". There is a street sign named "High street"... You get it! We really enjoyed our sandwiches there, their bread makes all the difference! They also use freshly baked chicken not the deli chicken made out of compressed chicken meat saturated with sodium. They say too much bread is bad for you... Well I guess I'm in trouble. Not only did I crave Cheba Hut during my 1st pregnancy, but I craved for it during my 2nd as well. But of course during the time(s) I was not pregnant, I always rant to others about how great and fresh Cheba Hut is and I am always down to grub at their restaurants. I was always stuck with going to Cheba Hut Tempe and Mesa as those were the only two that were close by. And of course Glendale when my fiancé lived on the Westside at the time. But this location...I work off 202 and Kyrene, so you can only imagine how excited and thrilled I was to hear this location was opening!!!! This review has nothing to do with the food and only the service. I can't comment on the food because I was unable to get any. I went into the restaurant Friday about 5:30 and saw 5-6 employees, 1 customer in the lobby waiting, and 2 tables seated. There was one employee at the cash register waiting when I walked in. I browsed the menu for a few minutes until I decided what I was going to order and when I attempted to begin placing the order, the woman at the cash register tells me, the computers are down and they can't place orders. I asked if I could pay in cash, and she said no, she could not place any orders. What did she think I came in for? Why if this is the situation, is there not a sign on the door, or tell the customer immediately. Don't let me stand there eyeing the menu so you can tell me 5 minutes later what you knew when I walked in. This is why people stereotype restaurant employees. read more

I've been to Cheba hut before and I like their sandwiches and I'm glad they finally open here near my apt.. I ordered the AK-47 (French dip) with a side greek salad.. I came during the lunch rush and for the most part I got my sandwich pretty fast.. the only thing I'm kinda taking away a couple stars was that they totally forgot my side salad.. and I think it was the manager? Parking for this location is not good. Lots of shops and the movie theater here... the interior is typical of what you would think a marijuana users room would look like but cleaner...The food is good. Very good. Always fresh. Employees always greet me with a smile. Nice part there is a 7 or 8 person seating bar in the back. Music isn't so loud that you can carry a conversation with out shouting. It's always busy here. This place is delicious- just like I remembered it to be. I used to go to the one in Tucson (over 8 years ago) while I attended the university. I got the White Widow on Garlic Bread, sub ranch for spicy mayo and added fresh jalapeños. It was nicely toasted, and perfectly spicy. It pains me to rate any Cheba Hut location less than 5 stars but I have to for this location. I've ordered the pinner White Widow over 200 times in the last decade - whether it's the various locations here in the Phoenix area or even in Denver. This location was the only time my take-out bag didn't feel like a dead body was in it - it always feels heavy. Always. But not this time. As soon as they handed me my bag tonight, I knew something was off. At first, I thought maybe they made me a nug. But no, this was a pinner but the inside was extremely lackluster. This sandwich should be dripping from the ends when you eat it. But this one was about as full as a Subway sandwich. I'm going to give this location one more shot and will update my review accordingly, but wow Cheba, you've finally let me down. That sucks. read more
