    Thin crust

Veros is fantastic. Authentic deep dish that beats every Arizona pizza place hands down. This particular location is sizable and has attentive, friendly service. The real treat at any Veros is the butter crust pizza - by far my favorite and unique.

Really good pizza. The deep dish is excellent but so is the thin crust. You can't go wrong. I've also enjoyed an Italian Beef several times. They have a good rewards program, offer great specials, and have a great local feel even though there are multiple locations. The location in the Foothills has the best vibe and friendliest service, in my opinion.

Pretty spot on to what i used to get in Chicago. Been to 3 locations but this is my preferred. Its certainly nice to not have to take a plane trip to get my hometown food. I keep meaning to try the deep dish, but their thin is just so damn good, I can't bring myself to order something else.

    Thin Mag Mile

We went there for the first time to celebrate Valentine's Day. We ordered 2 10 inch pizzas. The deep dish was sausage, onion, and mushroom and the thin crust was the Mag Mile (sausage, onion, green pepper, and mushrooms). The deep dish is going to take between 35 and an hour to make so best to keep that in mind when ordering one. Absolutely worth the wait. The gravy (marinara sauce) was perfect. Not overly spiced and still had great flavor. The deep dish crust was perfectly cooked with a wonderful buttery flavor and not overly dry like some places. Having tried many Chicago deep dish pizzas over the years this is right up there with the best of them. We will for sure be regulars. The crowed was lively and the staff were friendly and upbeat. Great place to bring friends or family. They have decent bar seating options. A few TV's there and a jukebox. All in all great date night.

I've had Italian Beef before. I've loved Italian Beef before. But nothing--NOTHING--prepared me for the transcendent, jaw-dropping, flavor-explosion experience that is ordering the Big Beef DIPPED at this Chandler location. If you haven't done it yet, you haven't lived. And if you've had it elsewhere but haven't had it here with their cheese sauce... well, buckle up, because you're about to discover your new favorite thing on the entire planet. From the second you walk into Portillo's on Ray Road, you can smell the magic--crisp sport peppers, rich au jus, and that unmistakable aroma of slow-roasted beef that makes your stomach growl instantly. But the real moment of truth comes when you look that server in the eye and say: "I'll take the Big Beef, DIPPED, LOADED with cheese sauce. And I mean loaded." Watch their face light up--they know. They understand. This is not just a sandwich; it's a ritual, and this location performs it with reverence. Then it arrives. Oh. My. Goodness. The bread is drenched--and I mean perfectly, gloriously drenched--in that deep, savory au jus, so every inch is saturated with rich, beefy flavor. It's not soggy; it's luscious. It's a sponge for joy. And then... the cheese sauce. Sweet, spicy, velvety, liquid gold--it's like someone took pepper jack, dreams, and a touch of heaven and whipped it into a creamy, molten ribbon that cascades over every millimeter of that dipped bread and tender, shreddy beef. The first bite is not just a meal--it's a religious experience. The crunch of the giardiniera, the pop of a sport pepper, the warm, juicy beef, the cheese sauce pulling in golden strands... it's an OMG moment so intense you might actually forget your own name for a second. You'll hear yourself making sounds you didn't know you could make. You might cry a little (happy tears). You might order a second one before you've even finished the first. And here's the thing--the Chandler location executes this with flawless, almost artistic precision. The line moves fast, the staff is smiling, and they don't skimp. They don't hold back on the beef, they don't drizzle the cheese sauce like it's an afterthought--they PILE IT ON with pride. You can tell this team lives for these moments. They're not just serving food; they're delivering pure, unadulterated happiness. Even the atmosphere feels electric--like everyone in the room knows they're about to have their day made. You'll see strangers nodding at each other in mutual respect over their sandwiches. You'll hear "OMG!" echoed across the dining room (seriously). And when you finish that Big Beef Dipped--cheese sauce glistening on every corner, not a drop of au jus left--you'll sit back with a food coma smile so wide it hurts, already plotting your next visit. Bottom line: If you are within 50 miles of 7200 W Ray Rd, you have no excuse. Go. Right now. Order the Big Beef DIPPED with EXTRA cheese sauce. Thank me later. And maybe bring a napkin--because that cheese sauce is so good, you're going to want to lick every last drop off your fingers. Five stars? Try FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS PLUS A STANDING OVATION! This is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be this good.

So disappointed. In this visit yesterday, I stopped in and ordered The Hang Loose and Hero. First and foremost, the store is kept very clean. I'll give them that. However, the cashier Derrius was so unhappy he should've been placed in the back to where he couldn't be seen. His customer service was terrible. When ordering our sandwich, he seemed very annoyed. Never greeted us and never made eye contact. Never understood teens who hate their job but continue to work for a job they absolutely hate doing. My sandwiches that took 32 minutes to make, mind you, there was one man waiting in store before us and two people waiting after us, were beyond terrible. The store was not busy at all. One girl on the line had to tell her coworkers in the back to help her as she was the only one making sandwiches. My sandwiches were made so terrible with little to no meat. The hang loose had less than one strip of bacon and little to no pastrami. I asked for the bread not to be toasted, so they did not heat up the meat. Like, what?!? The condiments were sloppily placed on the bread. The hero was just a mess. Plain mess with little to no meat. I know sandwich shops weigh their meat but this couldn't have been the proper weight. For these sandwiches to cost as much as they do, I'm expecting close to perfection. Needless to say, I won't be back anymore and can't recommend this place in good faith as I've given too many chances without complaining in store.

As for the food, we had the Fish & Chips with a Mahi Mahi Slaw & Fries, the Ahi Poke Tacos which come in Wonton shells. Hot Honey and Sausage Pizza was great. The Barbacoa Nachos had all the right ingredients & the Double Smash Burger had only some "fancy sauce" on the plate. The Tempura Green Bean, can't remember who ordered, but were good with the chipotle ranch sauce. With me, I'm all about the cocktails, so I treated myself to both the Froze Margarita & the Chi Chi.
