    Ribeye Steak

The Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as I ordered and the brussel sprouts were blistered to be crispy as well as the fries. The steak came covered in a sauce which could have been better on the side I just didn't know it came out like that. The food took about 20 minutes from when I ordered but that is probably the expected time to cook a steak and let it rest. The restaurant interior was pretty empty because it's inside a hotel but the waiter was very nice and checked on me throughout my meal with good service. Great steak!

This is just a rating for the BAR and the APPETIZERS. I can't judge the restaurant because I didn't go. I went on a weekday in the afternoon and it was dead quiet. I thought it was closed because no one was there, but then the bartender appeared. She was super casual, and wasn't sure about a few things because, as she admitted, she didn't usually work behind the bar - she was a floater for anything in the hotel. So I'm not judging the service too much because I feel like that wouldn't be fair to her. She was really friendly and got into conversations, but a couple times it was awkward when I wanted another drink or some food, but she was busy having a conversation with the one other guest there. I ordered the wings, which were really good, but the 8 teeny tiny wings should not have been $10. They came with carrots, which were good, and celery, which had a few pieces that looked more white than green (and were flavorless because of that). I also got the nachos, which were HUGE. Much better use of money than the wings. However, I've definitely had better nachos at places like Yard House. They way they layered the topics made it hard to get a variety of things on your chip. For example, the whole top layer of chips didn't have any cheese on it - the cheese was underneath that layer. And then, all the way at the bottom of the plate were refried beans, which I didn't even see until I was almost done with all the chips. It would have been much nicer if all the toppings were on multiple layers.

One of the only nearby places to our hotel we could find open on Sunday morning with walk-ins. Normal hotel prices and great eggs benedict with corned beef hash.

We first visited on Valentine's Day in February and had an excellent experience. The pizzas were delicious, we were seated without a reservation, and we left excited to come back. Yesterday, we decided to bring a few friends with us because we had spoken so highly of the restaurant. We arrived a little after 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday, and the restaurant was fairly empty with only a handful of tables occupied. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was friendly throughout the meal. Each couple ordered pizzas along with appetizers and drinks. We ordered the Italian salad but were accidentally brought the Green Goddess instead. It was a harmless mistake, and since we had enjoyed that salad during our previous visit, we happily kept it. Our friends received their pizzas, and we assumed ours would follow shortly. Thirty minutes passed, and by then our friends were nearly finished eating. Meanwhile, we noticed several tables that had arrived after us receiving their food before we did. We asked our waitress to check on our order. She went back to the kitchen and returned, explaining that our pizza had apparently been forgotten and was only then being made. She assured us it would take no more than 10 minutes. Fifteen more minutes passed, and our pizza still hadn't arrived. Since we had a clear view of the kitchen, it didn't appear there was any urgency to get our order out. At that point, after waiting nearly an hour since placing our order, we had to cancel it because we had other plans and couldn't stay any longer. Our waitress apologized and removed the pizza from our bill, but that was the only resolution offered. While we appreciated her kindness, we left the restaurant disappointed and still hungry. Mistakes happen, and forgetting an order is understandable from time to time. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. After waiting an hour for a forgotten order, we had hoped for a more meaningful effort to make things right beyond simply removing the item we never received. It's unfortunate because we genuinely loved this restaurant after our first visit and were excited to introduce it to our friends. Thankfully, our friends enjoyed their meals, but this experience left us hesitant to return. Great pizza is important, but great service and how a restaurant responds when things go wrong are what keep customers coming back.

As a riverside native, I love the Backstreet patio and was excited to return in an evening setting. Husband and I did a short hike up Mt. rubidoux then enjoyed a romantic dinner at Devereaux House. We agreed it was one of the better date nights we have had in Riverside. We went on deftones and chess night. There was an excellent curated music playlist, chess boards everywhere, candle and string lights, and a really solid wine list. Ambiance was10/10. We tried the salad, meatballs, two pizzas, and an orange wine. Everything was 10/10. Service was insanely fast for how busy the place was (not an empty table in sight). The line to order appeared long but moved quick due to competent staff. Choosing a wine was a delight with a knowledgeable server happy to pour us tasters until we chose our bottle. If you're in Riverside, make this your next night out. It's worth getting out of the house for.

The pizza we received looked like corporate chain pizza which also lacked the homemade crust and sauce we expected. Either the recipe changed from when the pictures were posted, or it was an advertisement trap. The ambiance was great though. I loved the lights and decor. Another table also played mario kart and the switch which looked like lots of fun. Logistics-wise was a bit confusing. We parked in a lot across the restaurant. And I wasn't able to find a clear entrance and just walked through open gates and tables. I think you order at the bar and seat yourself/someone will seat you if it's busier. Then they deliver to your table. Our meal came out to $90 for 2 pizzas, 2 drinks, and a side of marinated olives. Would not come again.

Since it is open air, I imagine midday can get warm and winter evenings a bit chilly, but they have plenty of heaters scattered throughout to keep things comfortable. Our server was fantastic and took the time to explain that everything is made completely from scratch, from the breads and pastas to every sauce, and the quality truly speaks for itself. The food and drinks: Chili Garlic Fries: Super crispy with bold flavor and the perfect level of kick. The house ranch served alongside is incredible. Caesar Salad: A classic, straightforward Caesar that was fresh, crisp, and exactly what you'd expect. Bolognese: Generous portion (easily shareable!) loaded with tender, flavorful chunks of meat. The creamy ricotta on top pulls the entire dish together. Carbonara: Truly authentic. Made the traditional way with egg yolks, black pepper, cheese, and savory pork bits with no heavy cream shortcuts. The pasta itself was cooked to an absolute, perfect al dente. Drinks: The NA tea was refreshing, and the fig infused bourbon Old Fashioned had wonderful flavor notes from the infusion, though it leaned slightly on the sweeter side. Quick tip on finding it: The entrance is not inside the main hotel lobby. Look for a dedicated elevator entrance just to the left of the hotel. There is a large sign directly above it, so it is super easy to spot. Between the ambiance, top tier scratch kitchen dishes, and great service, we will definitely be back. 5/5 stars!

Pretty view of the hills, trees, hummingbirds and butterflies around. It's lovely. The best part of this place is the ambiance, the beautiful views and spacious outside can't be beat. Unfortunately, if it's a rainy weekend, this place will be closed because because all of the seating is pretty much outside. But when it's nice outside, and in SoCal, it's usually nice outside, this place is wonderful. I was really happy watching all the butterflies flitting about. Service is also really nice. Just go up to the bar and put in your order, they'll get to it asap. There's water around for you to grab if you're thirsty. But if you want more drinks, just go back up to the bar. My friend actually got sick on my last visit here (not alcohol related - health issues) and the bartender was so nice to us and understanding - we paid up and left right away when it happened. Def made me feel welcome to come back again. It was something not in anyone's control, and she knew that and understood it, and was really amazing. The minus star I give is honestly because the wine is a bit meh (I got a bottle of the sparkling wine). One, it's just not the best taste wise even when you add some orange juice, but the biggest thing is it's always warm when they hand it to you. I would raise it this star if they just served it actually cold - doesn't need to be the best wine, just cold would be nice. I might bring some ice in a pack with me next time actually lol. If it was cold, I think it would be way better. I haven't tried the pizza place here, but it's on my list for the next time I come up here. Overall, loved the ambiance and service. And that will always make me come back.
