Wow this place is amazing You have the option to drop off your kid or you could stay with them the entire time, I stayed in there with 2 of my friends and their kids. It's a good sized play place with variety things to do! The employees are on it if you were to leave your kids there, they are very attentive and you could tell that they love to play with the kids and aren't just standing around watching them. We had been to Check N Play several times before deciding to hold a birthday party here. We love that the play area has an art corner and so many creative activities that allow the little ones to not only burn off some energy, but also engage their curious minds. Compared to other kids playgrounds, check n play is clean and well maintained. The play structure is safe and well designed for toddlers. We were in contact with Josiane and Steffanie throughout the party planning process, and they were both incredibly communicative and responsive. We especially want to thank Keilani and Dream, who went above and beyond on the day of the party. They kept the little ones engaged and entertained with an impressive amount of enthusiasm and patience. They truly helped make the day so special! Reason am giving three stars is that there were plenty of parking space. It is inside a mall, and it has a complimentary kids area. While doing our quick planning, I kept seeing this place and been wanting to check it out So I grabbed all my art tools so I can finally have a little me time with my long lost art, while having my little one play and hubby have his coffee break. So checking on google, their website and here, they all mentioned closing at 8pm so we drove far to check this place out. Now for here, As we arrived around 5:30pm We basically had the doors slam to our faces. No one at the cafè area and only one person at their kiosk.. I don't know what that was for, just to tell us they are closing. Well that was a bummer while am carrying a heavy luggage of baby and art supplies. The establishment was nice and clean, staff was very friendly and very attentive to the safety of the children while playing. I didn't try any food or drinks from the cafe but it all looked good. There was a nice variety of Toys, different things to play on and with, a quiet craft room, books, you name it. We especially loved parachute time. Two reasons I gave them only 4 stars: 1) they used a headset microphone during parachute time and I couldn't really hear or understand what they were saying, snd I wasn't far away from them. I asked a couple of other parents and they also couldn't hear, so I'm not sure what's going on with the acoustics in there. 2) in the cafe area which is where we have to go to give our kids water or snacks, they have a tv on and it was showing news from the Middle East and protests/turmoil out there. It's a little disturbing having a young child watch men being dragged in the streets or getting beat. Arranged a play date here for our 4-year olds and they had a great time. The play facility is very clean and organized. Our girls especially enjoyed the playground and costume/dress up area. They had unique toys and sensory activities that I have not seen at other play areas. They even had interactive story time! After the girls were settled, the mom friends stepped into the café, had quality conversations that we usually never get at play dates while enjoying coffee from Moongoat Roasters. This was definitely a highlight for us! We also got 10% off our coffees. Make sure you arrive early to your reservation and make time for parking and finding the location. We arrived 10 minutes late and by the time we checked in and took off our shoes we had an hour and forty minutes left. They are strict and make sure everyone leaves at their assigned time. While we enjoyed our time, $30 a child for two hours is not in my budget. So unfortunately, we won't be coming often. But enjoy the experience and grab a cup of coffee while your kids have fun! read more

I had a 3 year old and a 15 month old - both were entertained and happy for the entire 2 hour session; but there was definitely more for my 15 month old rather than for my older child. Safe environment and lots of interactive play areas. I booked Check N Play's top package for my daughter's 2nd birthday and it was a hit! It was so much easier than the previous year where I had to plan everything myself. All I had to do was share the theme and vision with Josiane and she provided mockups for my approval and brought everything to life! We only had one small hiccup where an extra clean-up fee snuck up on us. Just head's up that they do charge an extra fee if you bring in more than one vendor. The day-of staff was incredible. Helping me with the remainder of the setup for drinks, always making themselves available throughout the event, making announcements that I requested, and following my plan to a T. The theme was Boo, I'm Two! (Monsters Inc) and they went above and beyond to put the movie on the tv in the cafe and had the crafts be of Monsters Inc characters-all of this without me asking! The only thing I was responsible for was catering. I used Hallelumpia for the main hot food and Chunk N Chip for a sundae bar (I'd recommend them both!). read more

Although this place is pretty pricey and not something we can do all the time, we do love it. It's perfect for a mama who needs a little break. My 1 & almost 3 year old have had the time of their lives here the 2 times we've gone. We did have a little incident regarding an older kid running and crashing into my one year old but every worker in the building stopped and took the situation very carefully & I appreciate that so much. I love that there's a little bit of everything there for all the littles, especially the craft room. Such a great idea. I'm very pleased with how it has turned out. What an idea! I really had no idea something like this even existed. We came here for a special F1 event before the actual opening for the day. They had the race on a big screen with great coffee and even mimosas if you wanted. In the play area they had two really sweet women to look after the kids. They had little kid-size bathrooms in the back with shoes to put over the special little socks they get included with the price. They had a slide and rock climbing area. There was a little basketball hoop. The kids were really interested in a wall with tubs that they could send balls through and a large light bright type wall. There was also a separate art room for the kids to be creative. The coffee they have is moon goat which is a high end coffee that we love. The barista was friendly and welcoming. As a mom, I really felt seen here. I felt like "finally someone gets it". I really appreciate having some freedom to enjoy the race knowing that my son was having a great time running around in the play area. read more

Before going, we checked the website and saw two options: * Infant play (0-12 months) for $10 * Open play (12 months-6 years) for $30 (includes arts & crafts) Based on that, we planned to book the infant session. But when we arrived, we were charged $30. At the time, I didn't say anything and we went in. That said -- the space itself was great. Everything was clean, organized, and thoughtfully set up. The staff inside the play area were kind, attentive, and helpful. The kids had a great time exploring, and all the parents were engaged and respectful of the space. We also grabbed coffee from the café afterward (which was really good), and got 10% off for our first visit -- a nice touch. The only issue was the pricing confusion. When we brought it up at the end, the manager explained that once babies turn 12 months, they fall into the $30 category. She did seem firm on that policy, and asked specific questions about the babies' ages and birthdays, which felt a little intense in the moment. That said, after we explained the confusion with the website, she was understanding and ultimately made an exception and refunded the difference -- which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and would come back. I think this place could be great for families, but there are a few things that should be improved. I visited in February 2026 with my 5 yo and my mom. we paid for 2 adults and 1 child. We ordered coffee from the cafe but didn't realize drinks aren't allowed in the play area. I only found out after ordering, I think this should be communicated upfront. I also had a work deadline, so while my mom stayed in the cafe with our coffees, I went into the play area with my daughter and brought my laptop. I started working in the art room, hidden from other families. After about 10 minutes, I was told I couldn't work there, so I went back to the cafe. My daughter followed me because she didn't want to stay without me. Eventually, my mom took her back into the play area for about 20 minutes. In hindsight, we probably should have just purchased one adult ticket, or staff could have offered to refund the unused ticket. Play area: Cute but kind of small for a 5 yo, I would recommend for younger kiddos. I don't think they should market this place for up to 6 year olds. No instructor led activities while we were there. Cafe: pretty loud, with kids running around and grabbing things from tables and the merchandise area, so it wasn't really a practical place to work. We only stayed about one hour and there was a lot of running back and forth between the cafe and play area. My daughter kept coming into the cafe to tell me she needed to use the restroom, talk to me, and ask questions about things. Overall, I like the concept. I just wish the policies were explained more clearly upfront, especially when purchasing multiple adult tickets. A quiet workspace for parents would also be a great addition. read more

Kept on seeing their AD on instagram so thought I'd make a trip with my 1.5 year old and check it out. Needless to say, we love it. The employees are super friendly, the place is super clean, and because it's tailored towards the littles (6 and under) it makes me feel more at ease letting my little one roam free and have fun without possibly getting hurt by older kids. My boy loveeees this place. There is a 2 hour limit and he spends the whole 2 hours on the dot and would probably stay longer if I let him lol. We are from south OC and make the drive to this play place which is about average 40 minutes there and back - but it's so worth it to see my little one have fun. We went last week and had a blast and just went today with one of my girl friends and her son and they loved it just as much as we did. 10/10 would recommend and 1000% would be coming back. I recently visited an indoor playground inside Brea Mall and it was such a great experience for both parents and kids. They run their play sessions in two-hour time slots, and what really makes this place stand out is that there's an actual coffee shop inside serving drinks from MoonGoat Coffee. I ordered the Dubai chocolate latte and it was delicious. It was so nice being able to sit down and enjoy a good coffee while my child played. If your child is potty trained, you can drop them off in the play area or stay and play with them. I was able to leave my five-year-old in there for a bit while I relaxed with my coffee, which felt like such a treat as a parent. The play space itself has so many activities. There's rock climbing, slides, physical play structures, a pretend kitchen area, building stations, and even a craft room where activities are already set up for the kids. I also really appreciated the developmental aspect of the space. From start to finish, this was the most stress-free birthday party experience I've ever hosted. All I had to do was send one inspiration photo and a color palette, and everything came to life exactly how I envisioned it, without any back-and-forth at all (which says a lot, because I'm VERY picky when it comes to design). I'll admit, I was a little nervous at first about the lack of back-and-forth. As a Korean mom who's used to working with Korean event stylists where we collaborate on designs for months, I wasn't sure what the final outcome would be. But wow, my worries disappeared the moment I walked in. The setup was super cute and beautifully done. I especially loved the addition of the balloons on the table with the birthday girls' names on them. The Dot Affair package includes the backdrop, balloon garland, table decor, and even mini party favors for all the kids, which made planning completely hassle-free. Food and drinks aren't included, but that actually gave us flexibility in choosing what we wanted. The staff even met us at the loading dock with carts to help transport everything, which was incredibly helpful. The play area was clean, well organized, and the kids had an absolute blast. There were a handful of play attendants (surprisingly more than I expected) engaging with the children, and each one of them was so kind and attentive. I was initially concerned the play area might be too small, but it was actually perfect for our private party (around 30 adults and 25 kids). My 5 year old loved the construction area they have and my 3 year old had a blast in the art room. It's a cute spot in Brea mall across from Zara on the 2nd floor. We pre paid for our time slot. The space is somewhat small but kept clean. We went as a group and were under the impression that it was facilitated playtime which it wasn't. There's basically staff in there while the kids are playing like every other indoor playground. We couldn't leave our kids unattended. The kids bathroom had no adult shoes which was kinda gross because we are going in with our socks. No drinks allowed in the play area even water. I have to say after reading some of these negative reviews I'm a little shocked. You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this place and it shows. The front cafe is very nicely done and the check in area was simple. We signed waivers in advance which I highly suggest. There is also a coloring area for the kids when you check in. That way parents can focus on signing up and paying while the kids entertain themselves and color. A very nice and thoughtful touch! The coffee was incredible. The owner said they source the coffee from a local roaster in Costa Mesa. I got the lavender latte and it was one of the best lattes I've had! The food was great too, we got a couple flatbreads for the kids to share and they loved the cheese and pepperoni flat breads. My wife and I sat down with some friends while the kids played in the play room. It's not that large of a space but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The difference between Check N Play and say a place like Candeeland is the imaginative side. Check N Play the kids really use their imagination with costume dress up, dedicated art space etc. our kids had an absolute blast and were exhausted after the 2 hours was up. All the workers and attendants were very nice and they also did a great job and interacting with the kids and they all have radios to communicate. Only thing I would suggest is getting some hand sanitizer stations but the play entrance and exit so kids and parents can easily clean hands when leaving to and from the play area and cafe. I am currently going through a grievance of the loss of my husband passing away this pass Sunday July 12th 2026. I was feeling down so my twin sister suggested that we go for a walk around the Brea mall. We did a few laps around and came across this cute little store for kids called "Check n play" . I was so intrigued on how the appearance of the store, I wanted to ask about what does the store offer to kids and parents. As soon as my twin sister and I walked in were greeted by two very friendly employees by the name of "Elizabeth and Kaitlyn. I asked Elizabeth to tell me about the store and what it offers to us. She was very professional and very thorough on sharing how the establishment is ran and what it had to offer. She exudes great customer service and very efficient in explaining everything. My twin sister and I are looking forward to bringing our grandkids to experience this fun, kid friendly environment. So if you are ever at the Brea Mall and need the kiddos to be watched while you shop, make sure you stop by and say hi to Elizabeth and Kaitlyn and say FLO sent you . It's ok! My son (4) enjoyed playing here, but it's a relatively small space, so it's tough to spend too much time here. One hour would not have been enough, but two hours was too much. My son asked to go at about 90 minutes in. However, he loved playing with the blue building blocks and going down the slides. We also enjoyed the art room. A few thoughts - the video streaming service needs improvement. There are about 8-10 views which is wonderful because kids obviously run around quite a bit. However, the view changes every 10 seconds. So you can be watching your kid and then it'll go to the empty art room for instance and you lose sight of your kid. I asked the clerk if there is a way to just watch one view on the camera, and she did the Gen Z dead stare at me and said "other families" need different views than me. Yeah I get that. If there were camera view options, they could watch their view and I could watch mine. More dead stare. Okay. Also I'm not sure what they mean about facilitated play. I saw a few workers there, but they weren't really playing with the kids. They looked like they were cleaning up mostly. That's fine - I just don't get why they call it facilitated play. As for the cafe, it was fine. The lady working there was very nice. I overpaid for a stale bagel and a tiny dollop of cream cheese, but perhaps I'd have a better experience if I liked their drink options more. Either way, I eventually realized that there's a delay in the video (prob about 10 seconds), and I was uncomfortable leaving my kid there with the constant changing camera views, so I went back and played with him. As I said, we had a nice time, but it's eh. Update: my son has asked to go back about a dozen times in the last few days, so I'm upgrading my 3 star review to a 4 star read more

Or consider to do daily pass or 4 hours options. Specifically indicated this playground is not hands free for parents - I observe parents left their kids without letting staff know. This place is incredible! Everything is very clean, and the staff are so kind and knowledgeable. My son was crying and very shy at the beginning, but a staff member named Kaitlyn immediately came up to him and started doing arts and crafts with him. She was so warm and patient, and within minutes my son stopped crying and began laughing and enjoying himself! As a parent, you're able to let your kids play in the playroom while stepping into the café area to have a drink or food. There are two staff members who are constantly making rounds and checking on the kids. You can also watch a livestream of the playroom, which made me feel confident and comfortable stepping away to enjoy a coffee. We will definitely be back -- we absolutely loved the space! We also had the chance to meet the owner, who has two kids of her own. You can really tell this space was designed by a parent because it's so thoughtfully kid-friendly. Went for the very first time and it was great! We went during I'd say a slower time and left as soon as it got busy but we had a lovely experience and both my kids ages 2 and 5 had a blast. You can reserve or walk in and you pay for a 2 hour slot. This place is great. The price might seem steep but it's facilitated so if you want to step out to the cafe and enjoy your coffee you can! They have a small selection of toddler approved foods and just added wine and beer. The coffee is good quality and tastes great. The playground itself is spacious and clean. The facilitators interact with your littles and make sure they don't get hurt. The entire area is toddler friendly. They have two restrooms inside the play area itself. One outside in the cafe which has the changing table. You do have to leave your stroller outside but they have a designated spot where it's viewable from the cafe. My 21 month old has come twice and it won't be our last. Can't speak for how busy it gets on weekends as we've only come during the week while on vacation. In reading the existing reviews, I can see how each person's praises or complaints are valid. I've been here once so I can only speak to our experience on a Friday midday when the place was not busy. It does seem like some of the policies are inconsistent based on the reviews. For example, we didn't have to pay for socks since it was our first time. I'm under the impression that it's only a new customer perk. I did see a set of siblings alone in the playroom, with no parent. And I was under the impression you could leave the kids there. I will say though, there was always an attendant in the play room, and in fact, this one in particular was quite sweet and played with the two kids that were alone. So that made me think the workers do watch over the kids. But it could also have been only because it was slow that afternoon. All the staff we encountered were very nice and attentive. The play room is small, which isn't necessarily bad because I can watch my kid, although I am usually playing with her. I agree with another reviewer, there's no place for parents to sit and watch. I did like the art room, which is not usually at other play spaces. I didn't know there was a rule you couldn't use their supplies on the shelf. We helped ourselves to paint, and put them away afterward. A couple of staff came in to check on us while we were in there, and they didn't say anything about our use of the room, so I assumed we could access the supplies. We liked the dress up area, stage with musical instruments, kitchen/dining themed area, and the ride-on play horses most. They tell you that the bathrooms in the play room are for kids only, and they do have slippers for the kids. Which is totally fine. Except I'm going in there with my socks and no slippers, when I'm helping my kid. Would be nice to have adult slippers available too. Overall, it's a cute space. I am disappointed because I initially thought it would be one big space where parents could grab coffee or food and work while watching their kids play, and having the option to interact with their kiddos or let them explore on their own. It's completely separate, which makes it less enticing. At the end of the day, my three year old daughter did love it and asked to come back. It was a nice couple of hours where my husband, daughter, and I had fun together. I think we'd come back again. read more

I would consider my kids and I a play center connoisseur considering the amount of play centers we have been to in the past 5 years. With that being said, this place has a great concept, but it falls short on some areas. I've been here twice, wanting to see if my experiences would change. The play area itself is very small. You can sit in one place and see your child playing around open play area. However, this wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It allowed me to just plop myself in one spot and watch my kid. Pros also include that there's a big cafe area with ample seating that allows you to order from their cafe or bring your own food to feed the kids. Their cafe has stuff like coffee with non-dairy alternatives, pastries and cookies, and flatbread. Now, some of the cons were: 1) There is no place for parents to sit when kids are playing. 2) There are no bathroom slippers (as I have seen at every other play center), making wet socks a huge possibility. Then you're wondering what made your socks wet. 3) The art room teases you with paint and all these other fun items along the wall, but the only thing available to your kid is paper markers/crayons, and scissors. 4) Your kids have to purchase their socks to participate. Regardless of whether or not your own socks have grips already. Though it is mandatory to use their socks, the cost of the socks is not included in the admission price. This is strange to me. 5) The price. Since you can walk into the cafe without buying a ticket, the cafe is not factored into the price. With that being said, it's way too expensive compared to other play centers. It's charged by the hour. Little Elephant's is a similar price...except you can stay at Little Elephant's all day and little elephants has bathroom shoes, parents seating, and a much larger facility. Additionally, when we were there, there was a negative Nancy seemingly following us and setting rules. For example, my guest asked a staff member if she can bring her water bottle into the facility, the staff member said yes. Then negative Nancy sees it and tells her to put it outside. Then while we're coloring, negative Nancy comes in to announce to the people inside the art room that things along the walls are not to be touched. It wasn't necessarily the content that she was telling us, it's her tone! She needs to relax. Although non of it was directed at me, it made me feel like I was a kid in trouble. I truly hope this place makes some changes, because the location is great and the cafe is a nice plus, but if it continues how it was when I visited, I don't see this place lasting very long. Please make changes! I love having my kids play and then nap in the stroller after while I shop. read more

FOOD: No comment since I've never tried their food and coffee. SERVICE: Great! Staff are friendly and helpful. I've seen them assist parents quickly. PLAY: It's a great place to let your kids play in a safe and clean environment. You're allowed to go in with them as well, and it's very reasonably priced considering there's not many other indoor options for little ones who can crawl but can't walk yet. I can see how older kids may need a little more adventurous setting, but this is a great location to try if you wanna stay out of the heat of an outdoor playground. read more
