Would first like to thank Leanne and the staff for hosting our wedding, couldn't have gone any more perfect. The package deals at Summit House is great for its value and more importantly, the food is excellent and many variations were offered. Our wedding did not interfere with the other guests at the restaurant as they were able to divide all the spaces including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception hall areas. Our wedding was relatively on the smaller side with 88 guests and the reception hall had more than enough space to hold that many guests comfortably. Parking is plentiful and on the day of your wedding, they offer valet parking which makes it much easier for our guests. We also had an in & out truck which fit comfortably so there's that possibility as well! If we were to go back, we would make the same decision to go with Summit House again! Woody & Grace

We had our wedding reception at the beautiful Grand Summit Ballroom at the Summit House Restaurant. We looked into several different wedding venues during our initial search, but Summit House was by far the best venue for the following reasons: 1) The venue is absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the views from the hilltop, the amazing patio area and amphitheater, and the stunning ballroom. There is plenty of parking for all guests, even with concurrent dinner service at the main restaurant. 2) They provided many amazing food, drink, and decor options for our event. All the offerings were amazing and the pricing was laid out to us in a very clear-cut manner with no surprising, hidden fees or upcharges. Our food tasting experience with Mark (manager) was awesome; they provided meals in full portions and presentations that you would expect for the actual event. There was so much food leftover that they kindly packed everything to-go for us to enjoy later! 3) The entire staff were really kind and patient throughout the whole process. Everyone - from LeeAnn, Christina, and Mark who handled the event planning, to Cris, Eddie & the rest of the staff who handled the day-of scheduling and assistance, were incredibly helpful and nice. LeeAnn & Christina were communicative and patiently answered the (many) questions we had. During the reception, Cris & Eddie were awesome in making sure that extra tables were set up, that we were on schedule, and that we had an enjoyable experience throughout the night. We highly recommend them! They helped tremendously in making our wedding reception an amazing experience for us and our friends/family.

GET MARRIED HERE!!!! LeeAnn is by far the BEST wedding coordinator a bride and groom could ask for. She genuinely cares for each of her clients and ensures that they are experiencing the BEST night!I would highly recommend doing the everything but the ring package. LeeAnn helped point us in the right direction on which vendors she thought would fit our personalities the best and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The venue is right on the peak of Fullerton and brea so you really get the full view of the city, without the city feel. Also don't be worried that it's connected to their main restaurant because you are on the complete opposite end and you don't even realize there's anyone on the premises except for you and your wedding attendees. The food is absolutely delicious! If your #1 is good food they check all the boxes and then some! Seriously I can't rave enough about this spot. Some of the best people in the industry work here and they truly care about each and everyone of their couples whether it's big of small. Don't miss your opportunity to get married here.

I had my wedding here in May 2021 and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. We first visited Summit House when we were looking for venues way back in 2018. Summit House was one of the only venues that treated us with respect even though we were just looking at the time. We met with LeeAnn and she gave us a tour of the grounds. After we got a tour, we went over the different packages they offered and left with a good idea of what a wedding here would look like. We quickly decided to book our wedding here. LeeAnn and the whole team was so accommodating during the entire planning process. I emailed several times with a list of questions and always received a thorough response. A few times, my husband and I requested in-person meetings because we felt like some questions we had were difficult to discuss over email. LeeAnn always found time to meet with us and we felt like our voices were heard. Because it's a restaurant, our food for the wedding came from the Summit House. We got to do a tasting luncheon with our family before the wedding to decide a menu. It was before the restaurant opened for dinner so we were the only patrons inside. It was a very lovely experience! As we approached our original wedding date (April 2020), Covid happened. We contacted Summit House and were able to put our wedding on hold until we felt comfortable booking a new date. When our new date was approaching and covid was not looking any better, we ended up postponing again. Again, they were very accommodating. They have several packages to choose from. We chose the windsor which was just below the all inclusive package. It included cake from an outside vendor. There were a few to choose from. We chose Patty's Cakes. They worked seamlessly together and we had no issues with ordering our cake. They offer an all inclusive package that includes many other vendors. While we didn't use that package, we asked for the list of vendors from it and chose several other vendors from that list. Every vendor that they recommended were high quality. Our rehearsal was a few days before the wedding. We were able to leave many of our decorations which alleviated some stress on the day of the actual wedding. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. the bridal suite was open all day, so I was able to get there very early and hang out. My husband got to hang out in the bar. The banquet room was set up beautifully. The lighting in the banquet hall is amazing, so bright during the day. The appetizers were a hit with the guests. We received so many comments from guests that this was the first wedding they went to where the food was good. It was such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Summit House for your wedding.

Summit house was my dream venue. I don't even know where to begin! From the second my husband & I saw the inside of the reception hall with gorgeous windows & that magnificent view outside, we knew it was the one. If you're looking for a venue with beautiful greenery, amazing views, & good food, this is it. Every single corner was a picture worthy shot. Next, LeAnn Collins was an actual doll with everything that she did to ensure us of having an awesome day. She answered all of our questions, emails, & was professional through our in person meeting. The food tasting was splendid & she was so sweet & helpful through it all. I truly loved her personality- perfect for the job. Not to mention the staff they had provided on the actual night itself. They were so very kind to us & respectful to the guests & family. They had everything planned out & was able to coordinate so smoothly throughout the night what we envisioned for our special day! Without even having to ask someone a question like "I think I set the sparkles here, do you know where they were put so we can have them ready?" The night of coordinators had already planned it all out & knew exactly where/how to do the sparkler send off. A true relief. My husband & me did not need to worry about a thing & they took care of literally everything. The servers were so professional & kind. It was a spectacular experience & I loved to see how it all worked so well. Everyone loved the dinner & cocktail hour! We had some really yummy options for the appetizers & everyone was so delighted by them all. Especially their famous steak spoons. All our guests thought it was a top notch 5 star meal. We to this day are still getting compliments about it & we had our wedding on May 1st haha. We had the filet mignon & jidori chicken. Yum yum! Really the best meal ever & we cannot wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary for our free meal that they provide love that touch! Summit House, you are great. I will never ever stop telling people about you guys! 1000 stars to you! Thank you for making our wedding a true dream!

The only communication I received was asking where an item I rented (the projector/VIBE) was placed. I told them, they found it, and that was the end of it. Shortly after, Alex (the COO) emailed me stating that my security deposit would be returned by this weekend. It still hasn't been returned. About 4 days after receiving the email from Alex , Chloe texted me asking if I had received my deposit. I told her no and sent her Alex's email confirming the refund. 2.5 weeks after my event, she suddenly claimed that damages were found after my event. This raised immediate red flags. - The venue had cleaners come in right after my event, so they would've notified her of damages just like they did after her other events. So I don't see what's so difficult about showing me the cleaners claimed that the kitchen door was locked. Obviously, it wasn't if she can't provide proof. - Chloe herself said she would come in the following day to confirm the rented equipment was where I stated. So again, why weren't these issues brought up immediately if there was truly damages done to her venue during my event. - I had already contacted her the next day asking about camera footage, and she told me the cameras do not retain footage past a short period Despite all of this, 2.5 weeks after my event, I received this message: "After your event, our cleaning team reported a few issues... 1. The kitchen door was locked and a locksmith was called 2. A crack found on the wall 3. A broken door stopper" When I asked for video footage or proof, none was provided. Instead, I was sent a screen recording of text messages between Chloe and her cleaning staff. Her cleaning staff said these issues occurred at another event the following weekend after my event. Immediately, when I said thats not the date of my event she unsends the screen recorded message between her and her cleaners.... They are now claiming that I locked the kitchen door, requiring a locksmith, yet when I asked for proof, I received no response from Chloe and Alex. As of now, I am still waiting for my deposit. This entire experience feels like an attempt to retroactively justify withholding a deposit. The lack of transparency, delayed claims, and refusal to provide evidence is extremely concerning and unprofessional. If you value clear communication, integrity, and lawful business practices, I would strongly suggest booking elsewhere

We booked for a wedding on a very short timeline for a smallish group, and top to bottom, we had an amazing experience. They made planning so easy, from our amazing point of contact/coordinator Emily answering every silly question I had, to the digital planning offerings so we could make our own floor plans for the team. The owner Summer was also highly responsive when we needed to touch base. Day of, everything was so streamlined that we hardly had to lift a finger beyond getting our decorations out of the building. The staff was on top of every element and they were all so sweet. On top of that, EVERY SINGLE one of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue is, with some family members excited to find a place for their own events. We booked a buffet style dinner and added the lighting package, the coordinator upgrade, cake cutting, coffee service, soft drinks, and signature cocktails for a cash bar. First of all, the food is phenomenal. It's easy to dismiss any sort of banquet service, especially a buffet style, as something somewhat less than a gourmet meal, but not here. Not by a long shot. EVERYTHING is good, from the meats and sides down to the bread (at one point in the evening one of our guests had a plate of about 10 rolls, which was completely understandable.) My husband is a snob about meat, especially steak, and basically cried at our tasting with how incredible it was. We got great feedback from our guests both the day of and afterward about how great the meal was. The other really standout add on was the cocktails. It's another thing that every single guest (who imbibed) commented on, telling us not just how good they were but also how they loved trying "the groom" vs "the bride" drinks. The Charleston takes its alcohol seriously as a craft, with these drinks being the most truly *crafted* cocktails I've had in a while. It added an amazing element for our guests that they really noticed. From the "executing our vision" end of planning, the coordinator upgrade was *invaluable.* Emily handled all of our decor setup and strike, including packing things. I overplanned tablescapes, decor, and timelines, which made her job easy, but she's such a pro that she's usually the one to handle such things. (As an aside, she took my concept and ran with it in ways I didn't think of, and I was so thrilled with her execution. Emily, I adore you and your creative brilliance.) The other item we are so glad we added for our vision of the day was the lighting package. It was the thing that took a gorgeous ballroom reception into what felt like a bespoke event, from our spotlighted entrance to the lighting on the floor for our first dance. There IS an add on package that covered both of these line items and more, but because we wanted to choose some of our own vendors, we opted for only the individual items. I love who we hired, but for simplicity's sake, the larger package would probably be much easier for a couple looking for a "set it and forget it" style of wedding planning. We loved our experience with The Charleston and I'd book our special day there a million times over. The building is gorgeous and with a rich history, but beyond that, it's so welcoming--not just the people but the vibe there. For us, there was never any other venue for our wedding than The Charleston, and I'll tell everyone who will listen how much we loved it. I know yall read these reviews, so to the team directly: thank you for everything. It was the day we both always wanted, and you all made it special. We are infinitely grateful.

We got away with less extra decor. The main area for cocktail hour was cozy but not too small for our guest count of about 150 people. The venue had many chairs and leather sofas across 2 bars which allowed our guests to chat and lounge comfortably. There were TV screens that we used to project a picture slideshow, adding a personal touch. The spacious ceremony room on the top floor was full of natural lighting and elegant, and the ballroom for our reception was grand and accommodated dining and dancing. The Charleston also had a very large and comfortable bridal suite that we were able to get hair and makeup done in and use as storage the day-of. We received many compliments on the choice of venue from our guests. Most importantly, the staff at The Charleston were a pleasure to work with, and we were so happy to go with a local business. The owner, Summer, was very transparent with their pricing, and she always considered our special requests and worked with us to see what we could make happen. We had an outside vendor for catering, and they were able to tour the space months ahead of the wedding. On the day-of, they were able to use the facilities at The Charleston without issue. We primarily were in contact with Emily, and we also had her as our day-of coordinator. She answered our questions promptly and thoroughly, and she was easy to work with. Especially as we approached our big day, it was nerve-wracking to hand over the reins to Emily and our other vendors, but Emily collaborated with our vendors well, and she created a seamless day-of plan. On the wedding day, Emily took care of all the set-up of wedding activities and decor, checked in with the vendors, and actively assisted the bridal and groom's parties with everything we needed while getting ready at the venue. She really went above and beyond; we highly recommend her day-of coordinator services. We are so happy to have held our special day at The Charleston.
