Online order is the worse! Placed an online order because of certain special and promotions that offered only online. Received confirmation with tracking showing confirmed order and receipt. Drove across town for 25 minutes just to get a text notification that my order was cancelled. They wouldn't be able to explain why at the front window why my other was cancelled other than saying the order was not in the system. So very inconvenient and we didn't want to go home empty handed since the kids were looking forward to their meals. Had to place the order again. They also don't honor the special pricing online. I don't know why they even created an apps when the transaction doesn't get accepted by the store. They canceled any order they wanted to. read more

THERE WAS BUGS IN MY FOOD and they told me since I made a mobile order I can't get a refund I have to do it through the app (which you cannot do). First a spider was handing out on the drink carrier then when I open my burger the first thing I notice is a fuckin bug just hanging out. At the store they remade my food even after telling them I'd rather have a refund instead of eating their bug infested food. when I try to get a phone number for my refund they tried to ARGUE with me saying they fixed the issue by remaking my food which also they didn't make the same order they gave me different food. read more

food was amazing as usual, ive been coming here for over 5 years. sometimes there is employees who are rude, but tonight was different. the person (male) taking my order was rushing me, yelling at me, not letting me finish my sentences nor complete my order. seemed like they hate their job. we all can be upset somedays, but to take it out on a customer is not okay. not sure how many more incidents ill tolerate before i stop coming here for good and let all my friends and family know as well. and before i forget, he even gave me the wrong size shake, i believe he did it on purpose, but it also possible he is just prone to mistakes. Well....Im in the air about Checkers. It's very hit and miss about whether the quality of the food is good or bad. There isn't much consistency! I occasionally stop and get fries and some times they are fresh and other times they feel like soggy bad. Never the same consistency time to time. I remember a time where every visit was perfect, now they charge way more for less quality. I stopped buying burgers and other items because the quality was always bad, but what can you expect from a 3 total star restaurant. If you could just make food to order and stop putting out soggy old food, your food isn't that bad. Service is always good, quick and nice. Seldom have I ever had bad service. As far as ambiance, the restaurant seems so awkward! Why was it designed the way that it was? The drive thru barely lets cars get out of the line. Rally's is usually one of my favorite places to eat. I've been out of town working for the last 3 months and was looking forward to eating at one of my favorite places. After ordering the Big Buford and other items I was completely let down. They have nearly shrunk these burgers in half! The patties were so thin that they no longer are juicy. The burger experience has gone clean out the window. The bottom one is they're dry and small now. What corporate idiot decided to make this change cuz now I no longer wish to go back and eat there. This place is also known as rally burgers. They have excellent food made fresh. They have a great combo special, but I want announce the price because that's subject to change and stuff to find out for yourself. Fish sandwich is awesome. The bacon cheeseburger and barbecue sauce is very good. I have no complaints here they do have two lines for drive-through And they have a take-out ordering area but I think half the staff forgets they have that because you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes before they acknowledge you because they're worried about drive-through orders only. Remember Rally's with their good burgers and awesome seasoned fries? Well this is it, under their alternate franchise name. Maybe they chose to go with the other name so people wouldn't link them with the rally's that shut down their business without even telling their employees one day, maybe not. All I care about is that I can get those delicious fries again. I've been there only a couple times after recently moving a bit closer and I have to say their burgers are good, meaty, and not very fast foodie(if you don't like mustard make sure you ask for none)and fries of course are as remembered. They have most the drive thru fare and most of it is at good prices too. A couple different items are the chicken wings with about 5 different sauces to choose from(pretty tasty for drive through) and different toppings for fries, you can do any combination of chili, cheese, bacon, and ranch. I love this place and it's been so long since i had it. My boyfriend and i decided to stop by since we're on thT side of town. There was only one car in front of us but somehow we waited almost 20 minutes for us to pay and get our food. I got a burger for this first time since i usually get the spicy chicken sandwich. Recently, there was this social media questionnaire going around that had you ask a series of questions to your significant other. The goal was to post some of their candid and occasionally humorous responses without editing. Some of the questions were simple like "where's my favorite restaurant.." this put my boyfriend into a bit of a tizzy because, you know, Yelp and food is my job! He stumbled a bit and fell on to Checkers as his answer. Checkers, I repeated? Checkers, he confirmed. "You mean the drive-thru burger place on Calloway we only ever eat when we're hungover" I asked. Well, he's not entirely wrong. Checkers is a place we frequent once or twice a month. I would never have put it into my top ten restaurants (I was reserving that for a Thomas Keller eatery or even the now closed Artisan in Paso Robles), but my dear sweet boyfriend seemed to think Checkers would be my choice last meal on Earth. Now, as I mentioned, we do frequent it. But only (and I'm not kidding) ONLY do we ever go here after a ruckus and rowdy night of drinking. Checkers truly is a hangover miracle. Whether it's in their perfectly seasoned fries, or compressed BBQ bacon burgers; Checkers is the prescription for a night full of regret. The boyfriend thought about the question some more and eventually changed his mind to be Sequoia Sandwich. I raised an eyebrow but felt it was better than Checkers to publicly declare my most favorite restaurant. But now that I'm considering it, maybe he's on to something. I love Checkers!! To be honest all I ever get are French fries and Milkshakes. That's it!! I've been there dozens of times, but I go just for the milkshake and the seasoned fries. When I am craving Ice Cream, sometimes I will head on over to Dewars, but then change my mind to go get a milkshake and fries from Checkers!! People from Bakersfield know how big that is. If I am going to Dewars ( arguably the best place for Ice Cream), and then decide to go get a milkshake from a fast food restaurant, that is really saying something. Checkers was my favorite fast food place when I lived in Florida. 69 cents Sundays and good values every day with TASTE, it was like Hardee's/Carl's Jr. on a diet. I was having a problematic day and I wanted something simple and light. Someone suggested Freddie's, which is just down the road, but it sounded heavy and expensive. It came out just before Red Robin, and when I made the 10 inch tall burger hands, he smiled. Yeah, that would be a light meal. Maybe, another time. When I found Checkers, there were 8 people out front. They were talking, not ordering, and I thought that there was some backup. Everything was actually okay, and I placed my order before they did. Chicken strips is one of their best menu items. The chicken was like Popeyes, only more consistent. $6.80 for a medium combo isn't too bad because it's about $1.00 more at Popeyes. This time, the chicken strips were flat, not fat. There was still plenty to eat and I didn't eat many fries, and I love their fries. (Walmart has the frozen version of them, but they never quite have the same kick.) The drink was naturally mostly ice with a little soda added. In the past, I would ask for less ice, and they probably left out one piece, possibly two. The taste was great, as always. The outdoor tables were not horrible, but typically not cleaned. Parking didn't seem enough, so I parked in the shopping center lot just next to them. Service was friendly, but difficult to hear and the Pick-up window wasn't used. read more

I'm old enough to remember the delicate crispy and delicious fries from Rally's, so when Checkers opened, and on my side of town, I. Was. Elated. I don't remember much from Rally's except the fries. They will haunt your dreams until you satisfy the craving. No joke. Checkers is hard to get to if you're going to park and eat. If that's the case, I recommend parking a little farther away and walking. They have a walk-up window and a few patio tables for those wishing to take this route. If you do drive thru, they have not one, but two lanes! I usually drive thru alone, so i don't get to take advantage of the second lane which has the pick up window on the passenger side. The food is pretty quality and the price point is super reasonable. They also have tons of promotions to get multiple items for even cheaper! Yay! 11/10 will return for the FRIES! read more

A nice fast food option. I must say that the burgers are not too bad. I tend to forget that this place is even here because it is sort of hidden from the street. They really need an easier way to enter and exit. Coming from the North, Checkers cannot even be seen from the road so people would just drive past without noticing it. They had some coupons available in the mail so I decided to drop on by. I had the Big Buford combo. They must of had the sandwich already made before I got there cause I did not have to wait at all for my order. Sure, I was the only one there on a Saturday night, but it seemed way to fast. I was sure that I would not like the Big Buford, but I was wrong. It was better than most every other fast food burger in my opinion (with In-N-Out burgers being the only better option). The french fries were a nice surpise also. They are seasoned differently than other places, and have a nice crisp taste. I'll have to go back to try more items on their menu.
