When I want a sandwich there's about 4 sandwich spots I always think of and Jersey Mike's is probably one of the top ones I always think of. It's crazy to say that these past few years I have become a fan. I literally used to live around the corner from this one and never came, but looking back I kind of regret passing this place up. I'm not a huge sandwich lover, so when I'm hungry or craving something, sandwich is not my first thought. Matter fact, sandwich is usually never my thought... but that's because sandwiches are not created equally. I can have a sandwich from somewhere else and they are definitely not Jersey Mike's. I can choose a hot sub or a cold sub and still feel equally happy with my choice. I love the app. Most restaurants/food places now have an app and ordering ahead is always a plus if you're on a time limit. There's never a wait time and your food is always done in time. Plus let's not forget the rewards, the rewards are the best thing about ordering. When you accumulate enough points you can get a free sandwich. I like to hold on to my points til I have enough for a giant so I can share it w my husband. If you haven't been to Jersey Mike's then you're definitely missing out. Whether you dine in or not you're gonna love the sandwiches. I ordered a sandwich that came with olive oil and red wine vinegar. The sandwich was delivered drenched with the oils. My recommendation is if you order a sandwich with oils to specify how much oil you'd like. The bottom of my sandwiches were soggy. When Jersey Mikes opened (i think in 2000) their sandwiches were to die for, i even got friends gift cards . These stores are privately owned. After covid a lot of things changed & I'm still waiting for it to go back to normal. The sandwich's are smaller, less meat but price is higher. I don't blame these small businesses in Bakersfield but yall need to think of your seniors. When my husband & i go to eat we're on a budget & now started sharing our meals because everything is so expensive. A sandwich usually isn't easy to share esp if you both want something different. And when some of us go out to eat we save some of meals for later, at least we do. I'm sure most of you feel the same way. We want something for our money.. not just bread, & "Mike's Way". This is a problem was expeienced with THIS location only~ Placed a $39 order on National Sandwich day to be delivered at 11:30 yesterday. After 12 noon, I contacted this JM location that handled my order, was told they were 'unaware' of the order and could not locate it in the system (since it had been ordered in the app). After almost 20 minutes on the phone, they explained that Door Dash had picked up the order, but that I had to contact DoorDash to find out what happened. They were 'busy' (since it was the 'lunch rush') and they would have the manager get back to me later. I agreed and was very frustrated. About 12:15 I received a text message (from Jersey Mikes/Door Dash) that the food had been delivered around 11:50am. It HAD NOT BEEN delivered (TO US) at the location specified in the order. They sent a picture of the food sitting on a counter in an office. The site was a local community college, and there are many offices. Showing the picture to several local students, they helped me identify what the location might be. I had to LEAVE, and go on a search to locate the food. We finally were able to eat close to 1pm. I called DoorDash to complain about the process and ask what could be done to improve the Customer experience. They called the JM location and they said "Well, he got his food, so no refund." I did not ASK for a refund, but this whole incident gives Jersey Mike's a 'black eye', and my wife & I will have to reconsider our food choices in the future. read more

When asking how you like you sub and not letting the customer finish what they are saying when the employee is already throwing thing on your sub not really listening to you when you order you sub the way you want it. Naturally the sub is not going to taste good. I never had a sub be drenched in oil and vinegar. I knew right away that's all I would taste sure enough that's all I could taste and none of the bread cheese turkey bacon ham that suppose. Had to dap several napkins on my sub to dry it up cause the bread was soggy. Worst sub I ever had and I usually always order the same thing but before I could say easy on oil and vinegar he was already throwing the bacon down before I could say I wanted the spicy relish. Been seeing the viral Jersey Mike's sub sandwich on tik tok so here I am writing a review. The viral sandwich is a #7 turkey and provolone on a Rosemary Parmesan bread, Mike's way with pickles and cherry pepper relish. I didn't much of it and now I see what the hype is about. The rosemary and cherry pepper relish really makes a great combination to a basic sub. It was so flavorful and really good! Would definitely recommend and order it again. read more

This place was disappointing, the employees were siting around by the vending machine while the tables were nasty, it had crumbs, and liquid on it, and my family had to clean it themselves, when we ordered they were limited on food and we couldn't get what we wanted. read more

I always order the meat on the side because I'm a kidney transplant patient I have to warm my meat up and I don't want my meat touching my other vegetables in my sandwich until I warm it up, but this time I could tell before I even touched the sandwich that the meat wasn't on the side and I told them I ordered the meat on the side the manager refuse to remake the sub, even though I requested meat on the side and even though my receipt says meat on the side told me I would have to order a salad or have a grilled which is something I do not want which didn't make sense to me because they put the bacon on the side and I ordered the sandwich all the time my friends order me this sandwich all the time just like the way I order it .You just lost a Customer and I hope everyone else stays away from this location with a manager who doesn't accommodate their customers spending money. I would never recommend this place at all. First they got our sandwiches swapped with another customer. Secondly when I started to eat my sandwich there were hairs on the bread. When brought to the employees attention her answer was "oh, that's just from the bread molding" !! Seriously... I'm suppose to be comfortable eating food that has hairs all along the bottom. WOW A CELIAC'S DREAAAAM. Thank you to ZACK! He always takes care of our Celiac needs. Prepares my sandwich on a GF bread, separately from all the other meats and toppings that have been exposed to gluten. He has always been very kind to us! He even remembered us from our first time there. It's always scary eating GF sandwiches with so much gluten around. I imagine everyone at this Jersey Mike's would do the same! 2nd and last time my husband and I have gotten sick after eating from this location. We noticed when we first walked in at 6:30pm that there was a nasty sweet smell but assumed it was some kind of cleaning solution. After getting sick from eating our sandwiches we realized it must have been bad meat or mayonaise. We have been going to this location for many years and it use to be our favorite sub shop. Please note attitude is EVERYTHING!! Any time I have gone to this location I have gotten attitude from two specific workers. Never got their names but one is a cubby caucasian girl with short blonde hair. Today was a chubby Hispanic girl with red cheeks. No body shaming just a accurate depiction. She was constantly cutting me off from what I was as trying to communicate to her about my food. The reason why I was so specific about my food was because the girl mixed mine and another customers food orders up before i even told her the extras I wanted on my sandwich. She asked me everything I wanted on my sandwich then would ask me what I wanted again and again. I really don't see the point in asking that question several times if you won't remember the first time. It only makes more sense to make the sandwich as I'm telling you, but I guess she wanted to look at me hecka rude like she was annoyed. Then I asked her if she can check what was put on my bbq sandwich because I initially asked for lettuce , onions and tomatoes. She then told me everything I had on the barbecue beef sandwich. They forgot the tomatoes, and she tells me "it doesn't come on there, so I must've forgot to tell them"? I let her know I didn't forget I know what I said I wanted and again she gave me her annoyed look. I get it some people don't like to be wrong but why the attitude??!! She also made it a point to tell me all the extra stuff doesn't normally come on the bbq beef. Obviously I knew that if I had already told the first worker taking my order what I wanted on it. Guess she felt the need to throw that in there for whatever reason. She continued to look at me as I was paying for my food when she was no longer helping me with anything. I feel like those kind of workers should be the ones who work in the back not in the front with the public. She was SUPER DISRESPECTFUL!! The only reason we continued to go to this location was because of the how close it is to us. A few weeks ago we went to a location off of Coffee Rd and I will tell you their customer service is a million times better then the one on Stockdale! We will never return to this location it's not worth the attitude and disrespect from these two specific workers. I went this evening for dinner for my family. From the assistant manager Daniel to Mackenzie and Luis; outstanding engagement and customer service. My experience each and every time I'm there, continues to be professional, all staff are friendly, it's always clean from the door to behind the counter, immediately greeted and helped, and the food is DELICIOUS!! #13 is MY favorite!!! My family, including my three young grandchildren, really enjoy many things about Jersey Mikes, specifically the location on Allen Rd., Bakersfield. The ingredients are always fresh and are definitively a healthier option to other fast food. We are able to pre-order and drive up curbside, click the "I'm here" icon on online order and they bring our sandwiches right to us and promptly. After my first sub from here subway just doesn't exist in my mind anymore Lol...When i plan to eat here i starve myself that day because i know i'm gonna eat that whole huge delicious sub ;)...My fav is #13 mikes way add pickles and banana peppers geez why did i have to type that now i want one!!! I can always count on a satisfying meal at any Jersey Mike's, and this location was no exception as far as the sandwich was concerned. My husband and I will drive 2 hours to get a sandwich from here if the craving is strong enough. My only complaint is that this location was pretty dirty in the dining area. Couldn't put my bag on the floor next to me because there was an abundance of crumbs, lettuce and other food trash. Behind where I sat was also filthy and needed a good sweeping. Me and my wife went to Jersey Mikes today, while in line I asked the employee while making my sandwich if the potato salad was good and she said yes it's pretty tasty. The sandwich was amazing but the salad only took a bite to realise it was not good, no big deal I'll just return it after we are done. We finished our meal and I went up to return the potato salad and asked an employee if I could return it and she responded "sure no problem" she told the girl at the register that I wanted my money back and she said that I could not return it, I showed her the cup and that it had one bite missing but still said I could not return it. Well won't be going here again. She responded back and so did I like she asked by email but again no resolution, this place gets a solid 2 stars. read more
