Tri tip (extra) with spaghetti. Nicely done.
    Mark T.

Very polite staff. Been wanting to try since they opened and it was then I realized we waited too long. We should have started coming here sooner. I ordered the spaghetti and added tri tip as an extra protein. My wife ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo. Tri tip was tender and a decent amount. Noodles were perfect and the meat sauce just right. The chicken alfredo was mixed. Noodles and sauce was very good but the chicken was bland. Maybe needed a good grilling or some marinade/dry rub? Bread option was toasted and good enough. They have a Happy Hour special 2/$20 We will be back and try the other menu options !

I've been wanting to stop by for a while but finally did today. I love that they have 2 for $20 pasta deals between 2-5pm! It was very convenient and the pasta was delicious! Service was good and I got my food in the driveway in a timely manner. I would love to go back to try their tacos next time!

My husband and I did date night there often when we were dating. The owners were so sweet and knew of Me. I moved out of Bakersfield 6 years ago. I was visiting my parents in Bakersfield two weeks ago who had never been to uricchios and I couldn't wait to take them to dinner there! I called ahead the day before and made reservations for myself, my mom and dad, and my husband. We sat down and the place was empty on a Saturday, just a couple tables occupied. My mom ordered a Cesar salad and it was warm! We waited an hour and 15 minutes and our food never came out. No one came and gave us an update but we kept getting sent numerous appetizers "on the house". Sodas were watered down. Bread was mediocre. Finally after an hour and 15 minutes we got up and left. Whatever was happening in the kitchen was not a good sign! They appeared to be struggling despite being not busy at all. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant, my husband and I had to get in n out on the grapevine for dinner. I was so embarrassed that I even recommended for my family and my husband to do a dinner at uricchios, much less RAVED about it. I'm so sad what has happened to my favorite bakersfield restaurant, but all good things come to an end. I won't ever be back

We loved it so much, not only did we dine there, we ordered a bunch of food to go and drove it home to heat up and eat the next day. The next day food was just as great as when we ate there. It just has wonderful dishes. Founder by Nick Uricchio, and his son Steve they opened Uricchio's Trattoria, clearly a family affair. Sadly, Nick died some time ago. He was the nicest guy and always had a smile on his face. His nick name was Papa Nick. He always said hello to the customers and was just a doll. Go in his honor. It is just as great as when Nick was there. Steve is usually there to greet you and he is wonderful. Uricchio's Trattoria offers a great selection of appetizers, soups (a must) and entrees to satisfy anyone. They have fresh seasonal dishes prepared with care from Executive Chef Raphael Hernandez who has been there forever I think. Parking is easy. Make a reservation, you want to do that. It gets crowded. We have been there without one before and loved sitting at the bar and eating. Anything with shrimp is great. All of their pastas are great. We loved their spaghetti and meat balls. Their vegetables are made right. They don't consider it something just to toss on your plate. They are al dente and so great. Their Linguini pasta with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels in a tomato basil marinara sauce is my favorite and they have the best salads and desserts. It is a must stop in Bakersfield. The place is beautiful.

We were told it would be 30-35 minutes, but it only ended up being 8 minutes. It was so nice to be in a restaurant with character, history and personality. Loved seeing all the old photos. It was noisy, but not from loud music, but from people chatting and enjoying having conversations. We order the red and white pasta, tri tip sandwich and pastrami sandwich. They do not skimp on the meat. Sandwiches were delicious. I enjoyed my pasta and side plate of salami, cheese and bread. To end our lunch we had the butterfinger ice cream pie. Chef's kiss on a great lunch. The staff at Luigi's doesn't skip a beat. Our water glasses were never empty. Even being busy, the service isn't compromised. Afterwards, we walked around their store. It was full of take and bake items, wines and deli items. I highly recommend people visit!

Since 1910, they've been serving up amazing Italian food, and trust me...they've perfected it. Now let me give you the insider tips because this is one of those places that if you know, you know! Even on hot days, the misters keep it cool, and it's the perfect spot to enjoy lunch. This visit, I ordered my absolute favorite! THE Giovanna Salad with grilled chicken! I had to go light on the meal to save room the real star of the show: the Butterfinger Ice Cream Pie! The food is incredible, and the staff always makes you feel like family! If you're just passing through Bakersfield, do yourself a favor and make Luigi's a stop. You may think you've had great Italian food...but until you've been here, you're missing out.

Their lasagna is to die for, the bolognese will make you cry tears of joy. The chicken Parmesan was tender and the marinara tasted so fresh. Then the fettuccine Alfredo was the highlight of the meal for me, it was soooo creamy and cheesy and the noodles were perfect. After sampling everything, the fettuccine was what I ended up finishing in the restaurant. The other party members ordered a shrimp scampi with gluten free noodles and the sauce was rich and tasty. We also ordered a child's pepperoni pizza that tasted amazing with the marinara and seemed like it was wood fired. Our waitress was friendly and kind, and also very prompt, which we appreciated. We sat in a booth and enjoyed the ambiance, everyone in the dining room was chatting and having a good time. Will definitely be back!

There is plenty of parking in the front and in the back. Decor isn't so great. Service was not so great. At the end once meals were payed couldn't get a server our way to get to go boxes, so I got up and got them myself. Food was mid‍. I was expecting to be wowed and it just didn't happen. The deep fried ravioli with the dipping sauce is delicious, not going to lie. My steak was a tough. The pasta was very al dente, something neither my daughter nor I are used to and now that we have tried al dente I can say I we are not fans. Shrimp scampi was a tad salty and oily, but the shrimps were cooked to perfection. Nothing special about the desserts. I am a huge fan of carrot cake and tiramisu and both were very underwhelming, especially the lemon tiramisu. The raspberry tea was good. The coconut shrimp were good. The egg thingy with peas was surprisingly delicious the flavor was there and it was cooked to perfection. The white pasta sauce was very bland. I have to admit the seasoning on both the chops and the steak was beautiful but it just carried too much char flavor and as I said meat was tough. Would I go back? Yes, I would give place another chance. Too bad my baby has gone back to Virginia for her next deployment.

This establishment didn't offer table service, all qr code and get up and get it yourself if your thirsty. That was a real turn off, especially when I got up to get drink #2 my food was gone when I was returning to my table. This place would've got 5 stars but the whole get up and get it yourself was a huge deal breaker. I ordered off the menu that was offered but I had seen online they do offer different food, so maybe after certain hrs they shut kitchen to just finger food. I got the bbq bacon burger with garlic fries and a side of onion straws. Burger 10/10 perfectly cooked, well seasoned and good size for the price. Garlic fries were ordered with NO SALT and they got it right 10/10! Onion straws also ordered with NO SALT and they got it right 10/10! Ranch 10/10. I ordered a drink called Hazelnut Chi Chi 100% 10/10! The only issue I have with the drink is that the menu says $11 but my bill showed $12.50, that is $1.50 they did not mention prior to me ordering the drink. As I mentioned after receiving my second drink and turning atound to return to my table my FOOD WAS GONE! My bartender did take care of me though so shout-out to the young man wearing the tuxedo shirt. He got my order remade to go. Other than being super loud because of live dj it is a cool little spot to have some awesome food. I do recommend and I will go back. P.s. they have rewards so don't forget to sign up.

That combination was fire. We ordered one with shrimp and penne, and the other with chicken and linguine. I also upgraded my adult beverage to a non-alcoholic drink, the raspberry no-jito to be specific ~ He offered to change up the fruit but I love raspberries so I ordered it as is. It actually contains zero proof spirits, so it does sort of taste like alcohol vs just some juice mixed with soda. It was actually refreshing so I'd be down to try the other flavors on the next visit. Service was super quick, friendly vibes all around, restroom was clean, and the restaurant noise levels were good enough for us to still have a convo. My only suggestion would be to grill those big ol shrimp at a higher temperature, the charred flavor would have really turned that pasta into an A plus. Other than that, we had a cool experience and we'll be back!
