Blackened lemon pepper, white fish with green beans and a Loaded Baked Potato W/ Bacon

However, for a Saturday lunch and as always, it's very delicious. The prices are always just right and you get a great selection for the price. It is a chain restaurant so the ambience is not much but we can at least watch the game in the bar area while you eat. Our server was really nice and the white fish that I had was blackened to perfection with the right amount of lemon pepper.

Nothing NEW to report. Just another round of our favorite comfort food entrees from one of our old staple neighborhood restaurants. Always want to give credit, where credit is due. Thanks hubby for your support on this chilly afternoon: Monday, March 30, 2026.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new restaurant to check out other than our usuals. He recommended Cheddar's and I was eager to try somewhere new. We had looked over their menu beforehand, and were impressed by the options and price points. The menu was similar to a Friday's or a Chilli's. We got there on a Friday night, and despite the parking lot being full, we were seated right away. I did notice that quite a bit of tables had yet to be cleared off, but that was probably the only drawback I'd have for them. Other than that, our server was great. She was personable and kind. She offered us recommendations and checked in frequently. We started with the complimentary croissants and those were so delicious and just what I needed because I had barely eaten all day, so needed something to munch on. They were sweet and buttery. I honestly could have been good off of those. For dinner, I had the pain killer as my drink and that is definitely strong, so one of those will suffice. I did the combo with ribs, grilled shrimp, and two sides. I had the sweet carrots and the broccoli cheese casserole. I thought the broccoli cheese casserole was ok. I know my waitress said it's pretty popular, but I guess because I already had rice on the plate, I really didn't need to get another side with rice. The ribs were a generous size and the BBQ sauce was just right. My boyfriend got the white fish with sweet corn, and he thoroughly enjoyed the meal. For the price point and meal, we both agreed that we would come back.

Cheddars has effectively carved out their niche in the Brandywine neighborhood. They've been going strong 10+ years and I know why! There's a relaxed atmosphere & you get to chop it up with familiar faces. That plus heavy pours, bar food, homestyle meals, & handmade desserts at a GREAT VALUE are part of their recipe for success. Before 2020, I used to visit with my coworkers during lunchtime. One of the guys in our crew always ordered chicken tenders & fried shrimp. They deliver a perfect crunch every time. I typically order the bourbon salmon with sides. I also order the salmon family bundles when there's no time to cook for guests. Service is a little slow when the restaurant is crowded except if you're sitting at the bar.

I stopped by for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Left out with no complaints. The place is definitely cleaned. The service is good and the food is fair. I ordered a simple chicken tenders and fries, can't go wrong with that. I had no complaints.

Came here when we needed a meal and a drink. The strawberry lemonade was so good we got many refills. Lol. Bae ordered the onion rings which came in a huge tower. Then I got salmon of course with baked potato and broccoli. All was good and I had a to go box for sure. He ordered the steak and chicken tenders. I tasted both they were both flavorful. The honey butter croissants were top tier and I definitely got some to go to. If you are a DMV local they taste like the ones from the old Hops in VA. I have been looking for ones like these forever. We played some trivia games on the tablet and won a few times. :-)

    Grilled Shrimp Alfredo

The picture speaks for itself. Why does half of the pasta not have sauce touching it? That's a problem for me because how did you make the pasta if the Alfredo sauce is separate? Then I asked for additional Alfredo on the side and the cup is not even filled up a quarter of the way. Who's drunk Uncle cooked this mess in the dark?? Cheddars is going down. The quality of the food as well as the freshness. I literally could have made this myself and it would've been 10 times better. If yall want bomb Alfredo come to my house instead!

When we got our food and opened everything it was not what we were expecting. I had ordered a kids burger because I was hungry but not that hungry and when I got it, it was burnt and way over cooked. I also ordered the Bacon and cheese Cajun fries which the cheese you could peel off and wasn't even melted, they were so dry and just bad. The rest of my family ordered fried chicken, greens, ribs, Mac and cheese, and potatoes. To start off with my family's order their greens were really sweet and had little to no flavor. and the Mac and cheese noodles were over cooked and had NO seasoning. My mother's mashed potatoes were supposed to come with gravy but there was none. The chicken was not very well but not crispy and unseasoned. Everything just seemed sweet to us and was very disappointing. The food was not priced well and to be honest my family wasted their money. To finish this off we also ordered two little cakes which were 9$ dollars each. We ordered a red velvet cake which was over moist and stuck to your mouth. It didn't taste homemade and was definitely was not red velvet. It sorta just seemed like vanilla cake mix with red food coloring. The cheesecake was not that bad but we've had better. The only good things were the cornbread (was probably jiffy) and the plain fries. Would not recommend and never come again Don't have pics my bad

It's an honor to support her business! All of the vegetables tasted like they were farm-fresh--nothing was frozen! The green beans were expertly cooked with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions. The best green beans ever! I would love to get these again! The mashed potatoes were so creamy and the yams were nice and sweet, but not too, too sweet. They were perfectly balanced and had the best texture! The meatloaf was made with all of the love in the world! Now, since it has lamb, the flavor is very, very prominent. I'm not really a big meat person but this was a cool touch, and I'll try anything once! If you're a huge fan of lamb, I recommend it. I loved how there was gravy at the bottom and the traditional tomato based topping on top! I shared with my brother when he came to visit, he tore it all up! Lol. I would definitely order from Auntie's again. I saw that a friend follows the chef on social media and she absolutely loves Auntie's, too! My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.

My son wanted their crab cake burger which I had to taste and it was delicious. They offer mumbo sauce with their fries and it is banging. Got a nice little kick to it. The corn on the cob is so so. Its not bad but I just had better. Its too greasy for corn on the cob too. So confused about that. Any who, I spent $40 for everything which was reasonable for 2 meals. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The cashiers here are super friendly which is always appreciated because its seems like people are losing basic manners. So thanks ladies for your kindness it didnt go unnoticed. Would I recommend this restaurant, yeah I would. Its not spectacular but its pretty good and you get enough food for the price. That itself is worth it. So go and visit so we can keep restaurants like this open in our community.

4.5 stars. I cannot…read moreoverstate how friendly the staff here is. Very welcoming, very patient, very kind. Set a really great tone for my visit. There are surprising number of chicken options here for a place called, "This Is Seafood", but not quite as many seafood options as I hoped. I was really looking forward to getting an order of fried scallops for lunch and I was a little disappointed they didn't have them on the menu. I decided to get the Combo #4: 3 whole wings, 6 fried shrimp, and my choice of 1 piece of fish and side dish. For my fish, I chose fried catfish and for my side I chose hush puppies. The combo also came with a fountain drink. I decided to mix their house-made lemonade and house-made iced tea and it made the perfect half-and-half. The wait wasn't too bad, as the food was being freshly made. It was piping hot and crispy when I received it. Those shrimp were huge! Some of the biggest fried shrimp I've ever had...And not those butterfly shrimp either. Whole shrimp, and the tail was removed so I didn't have to worry about accidentally crunching on one of the shells. The catfish was delectable! Perfectly seasoned, delightfully crispy, and absolutely melted in my mouth. So good. I'm coming back for the catfish if nothing else. The wings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy, but they were a bit too light on the seasoning for my taste. And the mumbo sauce tasted too similar to barbecue sauce. I did not like that, so I ended up saving the rest of the wings until I got home to put my own mumbo sauce on them. The hush puppies were also really good. I like that they were fried perfectly and weren't greasy... Even after reheating them. Overall, my lunch cost me about $25 and it was enough food for at least two meals. Can't beat that. I'll be back for that catfish.

Omg- so good. The cornbread was served with honey butter that made it almost desesert like. But the cornbread itself was savory, so there was a perfect balance. So good! The crab cake was unbelievable. So good. (Similar to what you would get at a pappadeaux for context.) Literally a showstopper. The shrimp and grits were really good too. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were sweet and juicy. The grits were good, but personally I like more cheese in them. But adding the crystal hot sauce made up for it. Just an amazing meal! Our server Luna was super friendly, hard working and we so enjoyed her! She is a real asset to this place! Great job and great food!

My cousin and I stopped by on Friday, June 12, 2026, craving one of our favorites--the pimento burger. As usual, we grabbed two open seats at the bar that had just been vacated. A waiter greeted us and said he would return after cleaning the area. Another staff member brought us water, and we waited to place our order. While waiting, I noticed a couple sit down at the bar near us. To my surprise, the first waiter immediately went over to them, took their order, and prepared their drinks while my cousin and I continued to sit there without any acknowledgment. I eventually asked the waiter if he was assigned to our section, and he confirmed that he was. I then asked why the couple had been served before us when we had arrived first. His flippant response was, "Because they're regulars." I replied that, with good customer service, I could become a regular too. He then shrugged and said, "They know management." Thinking I must have misunderstood, I asked him to repeat himself. He again said, "They know management." What bothered me most was not that regular customers were recognized. Great hospitality includes making loyal guests feel appreciated. The problem was the message that seemed to be conveyed--that some customers are more deserving of attention than others because of who they know. When I expressed concern, the waiter appeared dismissive and uninterested in addressing it. Instead of clarifying or apologizing, he repeated the same explanation and shrugged off our concerns. At that point, my cousin looked at me and asked, "Are you ready?" We got up and left without ordering anything. This experience was especially disappointing because it was so different from the positive visits I've had here before. We came expecting good food and a welcoming atmosphere, but instead left feeling ignored and undervalued. I hope management takes customer service seriously and addresses situations like this. Every guest should feel welcomed and respected, whether they are a first-time visitor, a regular, or someone who knows management. Unfortunately, this experience makes me reluctant to return anytime soon. I can't say that I wouldn't recommend Succotash National Harbor, as I've enjoyed many good meals there in the past, but this visit left a lasting negative impression. To make matters worse, my cousin and I never even got the chance to order the pimento burger we came for .

I chose lunch and order fried okra for an appetizer and a meatloaf lunch entree with 2 sides for my main. All delicious! The okras were fresh and fried nicely and came with a tasty sauce for dipping. The meatleaf came with my choice of mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The meatloaf was one of the better meatlofs I've had at a restaurant in recent memory. The sides were also very good, with the slaw being perfectly prepared. I had. O room for dessert but I might return for either their bread pudding or their banana pudding. Overall, good southern-style food, good service.

There was a woman (maybe a manager or owner) who walked around to every table asking if things were okay. My husband ordered the pasta with marinara (not realizing it came with cheese- he had to send it back, he does not do dairy or meat). They should note that cheese is on it on the menu. I ordered three chicken wings (they were oversized - not my preference), potato salad, black eyed peas and one piece of cornbread. The chicken lacked flavor. It was just big and kind of greasy. The sides were fine. Ordered a piece of sweet potato pie to go and that was fine. The jazz contained a lot of talking. It was nice when they started playing line dancing music and there was a small area to dance. The dancing wasn't offensive or in the way...it was just right. Then came more talking. And advertising of a cruise, etc. It was okay, but I wish they played more music than talking. The same night, the restaurant attempted to charge me for a missed reservation fee ($5 per person). Luckily, I keep my AMEX locked. Weird, I gave my name to the hostess upon check-in. Wonder if that's happened to others. All-in-all, it was an okay experience. Not opposed to trying the restaurant again, but not necessarily rushing to get there.
