Went there on a Saturday around noon, the place was busy had a 10-15 min wait. Our server Jamel was great very observant. I had read other reviews and was concerned about the service but we were in good hands. The food is amazing..big portions and for a low cost. I has the fish tacos which were very flavorful and filling. My son had the chicken tenders which were huge for $4. They had a great crunch to them and juicy. I tried the key lime mini pie and WOW!! it was incredible $0.99 for a mini cup...what a way to end your meal. I'll be back!! I visited for the first time in 2018 and had an awesome experience. My survey reflected it. This is why when my lady + I decided to take the 53 minute trip on New Year's day, it seemed well worth it until we got there. They were understaffed and out of quite a few items (e.g. shrimp and honey croissants which is one of the best items there). Then our food took over 50 mins to come to us, which alone was unacceptable. When it finally came out, it was wrong on a couple fronts (a side was missing + the other was wrong). Our server didn't seem too interested in making sure we were okay but instead continued to lie saying "any second now." Lastly, my food (the exact meal I ordered previously sans the croissants) wasn't as good. The steak wasn't as flavorful and the mac and cheese was watery. We drove an hour to Cheddars because my Texas friends love it at home. I never heard of it before, but the menu was extensive and everything was fairly cheap, so I was for it! We sat in the bar area because the wait was 45 mins on a Tuesday around 9. No one came to serve us for about 15 minutes, so I went to the bar to grab someone. Our server ended up being awesome, especially for serving the size of our party. I really enjoyed the spinach dip and it was decently portioned. Overall, everyones food was so/so. I ordered the steak and chicken tender combo which came with two sides for $16. This place has basic American food, so don't expect too much. I think the best thing they had were drinks! Service was beyond horrible we asked for plates and she never brought them..I had to try and wave down 3 people just to ask for a spoon for a soup when it should have came with one. Covid has really made this place a stress factory. Average wait for a table is about an hour so be prepared! They are really taking covid seriously and won't let you wait Inside per prince George's county rules. I finally was seated after they called me and I missed the call. The place has a beautiful ambiance when it's not full of covid stress. I wish they could open the bar it looks nice with a huge fish tank! I was a party of one so that would have been really nice. But I was sat at a huge elevated table just to show off I'm a party of one. Lol my waitress was nearly hyperventilating from what she described was a busy overwhelming stressful day. She gave me anxiety and rushed me to order my food and drinks at once. I knew what I wanted anyway. The place is half capacity and no bar seating so it's harder to process people effectively. I love their free Croissants. I wish you got more than one. I asked for more abs was served two more. I got a regular margarita on the rocks which was more delicious since I was carded. I'm well over 30. I enjoyed the steak I got it had a distinct seasoning and it was medium like I asked. The green beans are surprisingly sweet and delicious. Their fries need work. Kinda lukewarm and soggy. Prices are low here so it's worth it! Only thing about this location is the patrons can be pretty loud with hyperactive children. Not a place to take a date. Nothing but kids high pitched screaming my entire meal. Staff is also kind of unprofessional in that they show their emotions. Another great experience! I decided to update my review from about a year ago to emphasize the great service myself and family received. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and we were pleased that there was no wait! The Honey Butter Croissants are always on point! We started off with two orders as an appetizer (you can't just eat one!). As an entree, I indulged the New Orleans Cajun Pasta. I must say it was well seasoned and not too spicy. I think it was the perfect balance of spice and flavor. I hate spicy food that's overwhelming whereas I am unable to enjoy my meal. Around the table you may also have noticed the Catfish dish and the Ribs and Shrimp combo. Everything looked and tasted amazing! The service was great as well. The drinks and food were priced so well, and it wasn't even happy hour. I had two strong drinks and was full off of a meal for $20. I had two Texas Sweet Teas, the most I could get because of the limit... very delicious. I also got to sample a few other ones, and I must say Cheddar's bartenders are on point. As for the food, I got the chicken tender & shrimp combo with red beans & rice and green beans. Their chicken tenders are addictive, and I wish I had more of the shrimp! The green beans were just alright, only because I'm not so accustomed to the southern flavors in veggies... I've always preferred them regular, but it wasn't bad! That's just my personal preference. There was no issue splitting the check between 8 people and we were out within a few minutes. I first went to Cheddar's about 5 years ago in Kansas; whenever in Kansas, we try to go here for dinner. I've also been to one in Georgia. When we found out there was one in MD we were excited to try it out! This place, no matter what location, is always packed...so there may be a wait. You can always grab a drink at the bar while you wait. I love their Maui Margarita! This was our second time visiting the MD location. We ordered the Santa Fe Spinach Dip as our appetizer (which was a little cold, but tasted good), and the Triple Treat Sampler. I ordered the New Orleans Pasta for my meal which was really good. I also had a Maui Margarita which is a must for me...sooo good!! For dessert our table got the Hot Fudge Cake Sundae. I only had a couple bites, - it was very rich and sweet, which is to be expected from dessert, so it was good. When I asked about allergens, the waitress just answered my questions like she knew what she was talking about, but she had no clue. This is my second time coming here and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Although there were crowds of people waiting to eat-we were seated relatively quickly and a waitress promptly came to take our drink orders. The food came out fast, fresh, and delicious. It was a little disconcerting to have a security guard walking the restaurant as we ate-took away from my dining experience. The waitress also lost one of my table members credit cards and instead of saying she lost it she claimed that the card was never given to her. Well this used to be one of my favorite places to go however I can say that service has gone downhill. It takes forever to get drinks because the bartenders are so busy socializing. Not attentive to customer at all. Also the food is terrible and they changed their recipes. The chicken tenders are dry, shrimp has dry batter. Do yourself a favor and make a good meal at home. I am between 2 and 3 stars. I went here on Feb 3rd in the afternoon with a few of friends after a bridesmaids fitting. Four of us sat at the bar and three at the bar tables. She did come out and introduce herself (at this point we already ordered food and drinks) and I sadly had went to the bathroom at this point. But my friends said she offered up no explanation or apology. -___- He ends up keeping to the table which was good. I ended up getting a painkiller, suggested by Keith, which wwas a great drink. Coulda been stronger but it did the job (chaser to my food basically). I got a vegetable platter where you can choose sides. I got corn, broccoli, rice and mashed potatoes. Corn was bomb! All other side were pretty good. Had the service been better the trip would have been 4 or maybe even 5 starts. But poor service when you are hungry is the worst combination ever! While sitting, I felt something on the floor, it was a rib bone from a previous customer along with other stuff ( napkins, other food particles, etc...) If it was left up to me to pay the bill, he would have gotten a $0.00 tip. After giving him cash, he asked we wanted change back, he was told no. He simply walked away, not saying thank you or apologizing for piss poor service. Timothy, you are the WORST!! Before leaving, I headed to the restroom. As I reached the arch, my left leg slid forward because something wet was clearly on the floor, The managers said "be careful something on the floor". If I could give no stars I would. I placed an online, curbside pickup. I get there and wait 5 mins over my pickup time. I call to let them know I'm outside. The hostess said "you could come in" so I did. I asked for the manager stating to the young lady that it's bad customer service to tell someone to come in when they opted for curbside. She went on to tell me the bartender is running both the car and the curbside orders. Not my issue that's the company's problem. I waited 10 mins inside and still hadn't received my food nor had the manager came to speak to me, apologize, offer me a refund, etc. I get my food and still ask for the manager and still nothing. I take my food and leave; called back to speak to the manager and was "on hold" til I had to hang up. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received.
