On April 10th I was traveling through the state and received an example of how you want to be treated by two exceptional ladies here. I accidentally locked my keys in car, along with my purse, when planning to eat here. I walked in empty handed and explained my plight to the young woman serving as the hostess. She was an absolute pleasure and immediately stepped up to help. She checked to see if anyone in the back had a coat hanger and could help. Sadly no luck there but she then shared a name of a local towing company she was familiar with and recommended. After calling for help and receiving a 30 min ETA she sat me in Amber's section. I explained that my wallet was locked in my car but she took my order and shared a "burnt toast" concept that made me smile. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and pleasant in every way but what stood out the most was how helpful and kind these two were. Sadly, it took me a while to write this review and after a few weeks I seem to have forgotten the hostess's name. I can share that she was blond, younger and was filling in at that moment because she made the croissant that I ate. I've never eaten at a Cheddar's before but these two made this experience absolutely exceptional. I left a big tip for Amber but couldn't for my primary hero because she left for a Florida road trip before I could reach the cash in my wallet. I'm hoping her spectacular energy and intentions come back to her tenfold though...she truly saved the day for me! read more

Only one hiccup was there was a problem with one of the orders and it didn't come out until after everyone else had eaten. We just got it to go and they comp that meal. My husband and I were in the area during the Thanksgiving holiday and decided to try Cheddars (our city no longer has one). We ordered a Family meal and everything was delicious especially the ribs and croissants! The car side service was timely, we only waited a few mins. This place was just great! The food is amazing and the people are super nice, and it's really clean and peaceful! Warning: if you get buffalo sauce with your meal, get the sauce on the side the buffalo sauce is super spicy The music isn't overly loud, and it's very welcoming. The artichoke dip was nice and creamy with great flavor. Queso dip was great, with good consistency and flavor. This is the first monte Cristo sandwhich I have ever had, and oh yum was it good. If I could give negative stars, I would. Horrible experience from start to finish, and our visit was short. We entered the restaurant and the hostess (all three of them) didn't greet us or even look up from their monitor. Didn't respond to us when we said how many were in our party. They then grabbed menus and walked us to the back corner of the restaurant. We then proceeded to sit at our booth for close to 15 minutes without a server or any of the four other team members congregating near cash registers checking in to see if we had been helped. We even pressed the kiosk button to ask for a server and no one came. Finally, we realized no one was going to come to our table and since we were traveling we decided we needed to leave. As we walked out of the restaurant the hostess said "are you guys done?" With a smirk on her face. Whatever is going on at this location needs to be fixed. I don't write reviews like this ever, but I have never experienced such bs customer service at a restaurant that had all of five cars in front of it. Paid more attention to the table next to us celebrating their 35 year anniversary (a Caucasian couple). Literally paid no attention to the rest of us. Even tho she is not caucasian. Salad never came out. Had to ask someone else to bring the salad. The hostess had to bring our rolls as well. The server SUCKED! Spent the night in Brunswick- eaten at Cheddar's many times in the past - thought we would try them for dinner. Lisa took good care of us. Daughter had a bar drink rest had waters. Started with their rolls good as always. Daughter and I shared the blackened white fish. I added a second seasoned rice. Daughter had broccoli and green beans. Background - I've been in town for over a week - eating nothing but fried food and sandwiches thanks to my parent's kitchen being somewhat out of commission. I was seriously feening for some grilled salmon and steamed veggies and after calling around to several local seafood spots to discover they didn't offer salmon, decided to give Cheddar's a try. (I'm not sure how - but I somehow managed to completely forget that Longhorn's is still in business and they sell the exact meal I was looking for - lol.) Exterior - LOTS of disabled person parking. Entire front side of building is handicapped parking. Not a criticism or a complaint - just an observation. Interior - I was here years ago for a birthday celebration. The floors are still sticky. They explained why the were like this when we were here before but can't remember the explanation. Other than the weird floors, space seems clean. I get that it's summer, but they keep it SUPER cold inside. If I'd had a duster or cardigan in my trunk, I would honestly have gone back outside to snag it. Food I ordered blackened salmon with a baked potato as my side. (They didn't have a steamed vegetable medley.) I also added a salad with extra tomatoes. My salad was surprisingly good. It was definitely elevated by what appeared to be homemade croutons. Just a note - for your starter, they have croissants drizzled with streusel instead of rolls or loaves. The salmon portion is available in 13 or 15 oz . I went with 15 oz offering because I wanted to have serious leftovers. When entree arrived, salmon appeared a little undercooked. There was very little rice and that was fine because I didn't want much - mainly wanted it for texture with the steamed vegetables and since the vegetables weren't an option it was fine. Besides - a potato and rice ... starch city! One bite confirmed that it was a bit undercooked so I had everything boxed up and I put in the oven later (wrapped in foil) and I genuinely enjoyed it. Customer Service Chelsea (sp?) was my server. She was good - a little subdued but not rude or anything. She did do the thing where she carried my cup by the rim instead of holding the bottom third of the glass / cup. Nice and clean decor for a relatively inexpensive chain restaurant. Service was quick and good. It has a wide variety of choices from pot pies to steaks, seafood,chicken and ribs. My husband had the fried cod and shrimp which was plentiful with a light crisp batter and wasn't oily, per my husband. I had Key west chicken and shrimp. The chicken grilled and juicy served with a teriyaki sauce on the side as were the shrimp. Both dishes came with two sides. There is a good selection of sides to choose from. The steak and shrimp with rice and a plain baked potato with the sour cream on the side was presented to me. I asked about why a loaded potato had nothing on it, she said I order a plain with sour cream on the side, I said no- I ordered a loaded with sour cream on the side. They brought out toppings for me. Good draft beer selection, food for everyone's likes. We stopped here on our way to FL and then again on our way back. It is close to many hotels. In 2020 I was on a road trip stopped in Brunswick and found this place to eat. I have been so impressed with their food with the place with the service that I stop there every time I pass through. I've been there three times already. The restaurant appears to be fairly new always nicely kept and as I said, the service is so good. Atmosphere - just OK. The restaurant is very noisy. For a chain restaurant, place looks nice. The restaurant seems to attract a lot of families with small children. I am assuming that the children's menu is the attraction. Food - Very Good. I had the baked potato soup and the Monte Christo. The soup was served hot and tasted great. The M.C. was one of the best that I have ever had in a restaurant. Service - Excellent. Our server was pleasant and attentive. In fact, every staff member had a great attitude. Overall - Great. We have been traveling for 7 weeks and are so tired of eating out and wanted some comfort food. So happy to see this restaurant close to our hotel. We have eaten at other locations and been pleased with our choices, and hoped for the same here. On a Monday night, at 6:30 pm, even though the Waitlist on-line said 5 minutes (so we didn't sign up) the wait was 20 minutes. We waited outside, and it was great that they texted us when our table was available. So sad to walk past numerous empty tables knowing that because they can't get help, they can't seat patrons. I have become much more patient with the essential workers who come to work every day so that people like me can eat in a restaurant. This was the last night of our 7 week trip and I can honestly say that Stacey was the best server we had. She was attentive, kept us informed, and was thoroughly engaged with all of her tables. We haven't seen service like this in eons. I pretty much knew I wanted a chicken pot pie before I came, and even after looking at the menu, my mind wasn't changed. I also had a salad, with ranch dressing. The salad was excellent. It wasn't just lettuce, but had egg, tomato, croutons, and was really fresh. The pot pie came nice and hot and was sheer yumminess. The ambience was pretty nice and the food was out in an about 20-30 minutes so not terribly long. The problem is how I ended up throwing up a lot after something I ate here irritated my stomach enough. Portions are very generous and Cheddar's prices have remained reasonable while everywhere else has hiked the price considerably. We stopped in here for lunch on our way home from Ft. Lauderdale. What a pleasant surprise! I had some reservations based on past reviews but our meal and service were great! My husband had the country fried steak with a loaded baked potato and green beans. It was a nice portion of steak on Texas toast and he cleaned the plate. I had a nice lettuce salad with chicken strips, cheese, tomatoes, carrots and the best part.,,glazed pecans, lots of them too, with a honey mustard dressing that had a nice bite to it. Bartender Joy and Kitchen manager Tucker were amazing. We came today for a late dinner. I ordered the T-bone steak medium. 30 mins later It came overcooked and my sides were cold. I was offered to keep it and they'd take it off so I said I'll keep it. Then the mgr came and said if I am eating it, I'm paying it sort of thing. So I said then just re make it, if I'm paying full price then why eat a crappy steak? 30 mins later I'm still waiting for my food. The bartender (Joy)kept checking on it but I finally said to cancel it. Then kitchen manager (Tucker)came and was very apologetic (unlike the other manager). He offered the steak free in a to-go box. By now we've been waiting for 1hr all together. Although they do need improvement, I felt these two employees really cared for my experience even if it didn't go as well as expected. read more
