Always like finding local places when we travel. This place popped up 3rd on the list and we have already been to the other 2 so here we are. A little drive off 95, about 15 minutes but not bad and worth it. Saturday morning not too busy. Seat yourself. Grabbed a booth pretty quickly. I ordered the Tex mex omelette with English muffins and hash browns. Pretty darn good. All very fresh and made to order. I will second another review about toasting of the bread. I ordered the English muffin and it was barely toasted. Same with the hash browns. Needed more crispy ness Deb had the half sausage and gravy. Great tasting gravy. Stopped in for a quick breakfast while in the area. It seems like they are still adjusting to covid reopening because they were pretty busy and a little under staffed. With that being said, the waitresses are working hard and are super friendly so just be a little patient! This is a what you see is what you get kinda place. Typical breakfast options, eggs, pancakes, waffles and omelet options. I opted for the 2 eggs with hash browns and sausage. The sausage specified links on the menu but ended up being a patty which just isn't my favorite. I didn't love the flavor. The hash browns are ok, a little dry but otherwise cooked with some crunchy bits. Popped into this joint at a moments notice, unplanned. Environment was very nice and felt homey and country. They have an insane amount of options for breakfast; of which, as an overweight southern boy, I appreciate. The coffee came out in these super cool tin mugs that apparently would refill itself because every time I turned around it was filled to the brim again. Let's be honest, the food when it came out looked ROUGH; however, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the sausage was bland and desperately needed to be seasoned. After getting our drink order she was kinda on top of things. Our food was up @ the window & she sent mine back due to the quality before I even seen it. So kudos to her for that. WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER! First off had to stand around and wait for a table, because they had nine dirty tables, that they were too lazy to bus. Wound up with a total diva, that was a sorry, excuse of a "waitress". She had the attitude like she was Beyoncé, stuck shoveling out, greasy food to support her five kids! Could not handle the simple task of making a glass of water with lemon. Never seen anyone put lemon in the bottom of the glass, then the ice and water. Made a mess on the table trying to dig the damn lemon out. Then Beyoncé got mad and stomped off because we wasn't ready to order the second she set the water down. This was our first time here and trying to figure out the menu so we wanted another minute to look it over. So to punish us, she made us sit there for 14 minutes before she come back to take our order. The wife gets her order in, with no drama out of Beyoncé. But when my turn comes, I try to order the hashbrowns without mushrooms and broccoli. She gets mad and huffy because I'm trying to tell her what I want. I straight up ask her if she's copping an attitude! She told me "it wasn't her problem. I was the one that had to eat it". Personally, at this point, I was so pissed off I don't even remember what I said. I just remember watching spoiled brat stomp off into the kitchen mumbling under her breath, just like the little pissy child! There are too many options in this town for breakfast, or any other meal. To have to deal with pissy, childish waitstaff! Probably for the best, because I wouldn't of tipped this child a penny! Drove over to Zeig's Cafe, on Perry Lane Rd and had a fabulous breakfast. Today (2-3/23) we chose to visit one of our favorite breakfast places . The place was quite busy at 10. The coffee was good, the waitress was prompt and b polite. After that all wen down hill. My order of French toast was so greasy and truly pathetic. My wife's western omelette was also extremely greasy! Now I don't make s habit of yelping but it was very obvious that the kitchen staff had no supervision or manager to observe that that food was prepared in an undesirable state. I mentioned this to the clerk Whom did not seem concerned! So this is why you should always have the managers Name posted so that this kinda experience can be Acknowledged and corrected. ROACHES!!!! Traveled in town to eat and it was the worst service. Caucasian woman, bun & tattoos had the worst service, didn't even greet the table. One waitress broke glasses by the table twice, half cleaned up the glass almost cut my nephews foot! Half cleaned up the mess, and it went on about her business. Lastly 2 COCK roaches just starting to crawl around and I literally couldn't believe my eyes! It was my turn to choose where to eat today and sadly I chose wrong. The atmosphere is good but the service was lacking. To start there was a sign on the door saying cash only. No problem we went to the ATM and came back. Then we sat in this rude blonde girls section. She never introduced herself, the waitress station was right behind us but we were never offered refills, and she got my husband's order wrong and wanted to start an argument about it. My food was OK at best but my husband ordered hashbrowns and got grits soup dumped on his omelet and not in a bowl like other people we saw in there. They also forgot the cheese on his omelet. So we finished our food and get up to pay were they used a calculator to figure out or check and still got the change wrong. Normally I would give a place a second chance but not this place. Stopped here after leaving St Simons on our trip home. Decided we needed a filling breakfast before our ride. The restaurant is located in a shopping center close to Publix. After we sat down the waitress came over and cleaned the table. I ordered the two eggs with sausage and added for one dollar hash browns. My wife got the philly cheese steak breakfast wrap with cheese grits. The eggs were cooked perfectly and they gave me a ton of hash browns. My wife's wrap was good and she got a large serving of grits. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Glad we stopped. read more

Sunny Side Up is a great breakfast spot. Not fabulous, but pretty darn good. They do have some shortcomings. First and foremost , they don't make their biscuits in house. For me , that's almost a deal breaker. Along with that, pass on the biscuits and gravy. The sausage gravy is dismal. Having said that , their chicken and waffles is astounding , and the portion so large as to frighten a more timid diner. Coffee is hot and replenished frequently. Pancakes are good also. Service is very good, and you will find all the staff to be gracious and attentive. The dining room is clean and bright, the way a breakfast spot should be. I never sampled any of their lunch items, but I'm confident they are very good as well. I like the booth by the window, do don't sit there, that's my spot. read more

Went for breakfast and orders an omelette. Cut into the omelette and didn't see any cheese. Asked the waitress. She walked off with the omelette then came back and said, we use white cheese it's in there but hard to see. My husband moved the inside of the omelette sound and found 1 piece of cheese. The Brunswick restaurant is a sad departure from the one in Garden City... after seating yourself you just have to hope someone noticed you and is covering your table. I've been a couple times but won't go back... I can understand being busy or it being difficult to find good help (case in point) but a smart mouthed waitress is just too much... especially with all of the competition around here. Ten minutes after we sat down someone who we assumed was our waitress took our orders and then didn't come back... someone else from the kitchen brought our food out. After being ignored for 30 minutes I asked "our waitress" for some to go boxes and she said, "They over there, I'm kinda busy right now" - and just walked off with a smirk on her face. She came to the counter while I was up there so I asked if she was our waitress... she, said "Nope". I reminded her she got our orders when we came in and never came back, to which she thought for a second and said, "My bad...". Save your money and drive the few extra miles to the island... My husband and I stopped in for breakfast at the Brunswick Georgia location on 1/16/23. The food, at best, was horrible. I ordered scrambled eggs, crisp bacon and toast that was well toasted. My husband ordered a waffle and scrambled eggs. The food was served in drips and drabs, meaning my husband received his waffle first. After about five minutes, I received my toast. In another four or five minutes, I finally received my eggs and bacon. Each item is served like a separate course. By this time, my husband finished his waffle and was waiting for eggs. My scrambled eggs looked like egg ribbons. Apparently they spread eggs on a grill like a pancake and flip it over like a pancake. Then they just slice it into ribbons. I could see the grill from my table. The bacon was beyond crisp, it was dried out and tasted old, like it sat out somewhere for several days. The end of the bacon that looks shiny in the photo was really just dried fat. Lighting almost makes it look moist, it wasn't. The toast was pale and barely buttered. All the food was served somewhere between room temperature and almost lukewarm. The server was pleasant enough but we won't go back here. I have to wonder if the great reviews I saw here were for another location. I didn't have the same experience others had. So I guess you should eat at your own risk. Won't break your bank and it's close to the interstate and hotels nearby if you're traveling... We're from Palm Bay, FL, stopped at Georgia to rest, ended up at this restaurant in the morning and held us through til we got to our destination in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This is not a restaurant that makes things right when they make a mistake! They are on Door Dash but beware. They omitted items from order. When I reported the issue and they offered no compensation or refund for not sending the items they excluded. I called the store and they told me that the person who packages the order doesn't mess up and that they believed I received them, basically saying I was lying. Never patron here unless you are ok with not getting what you paid for and disrespectful customer service. And the food is just so so. A lot of small businesses are hurting from covid - save your love and money for those who love you back. read more
