This was our first time at cheddar's, and can't say I was too impressed. The overall service was less than satisfactory. Isabella was our waitress and we saw her twice... even though the restaurant was empty.. We had no silverware/no napkins the majority of our time and she was nowhere to be found. We finally received our food (delivered by another waitress) and she said she'd be right back with our sons fries and took off... We got seated quickly but the table was dirty with smeared ketchup or sauce of some sort. We were given two menus and two place servings for a family of four. Our waiter was nice enough to wipe down the table. He himself was busy and we were shoved in a corner so attention was minimal. Never got the croissants we ordered-ended up getting them to go. Restaurant was not busy but took over 30 minutes to get our food which was cold. Never got refills and waited for a long time for the check. We used to love coming here but never again. Over 80 dollars for a family of four (basic meals and no alcohol) and nothing was worth the cost. On a cold snowy day, we stopped here and each had good comfort meal. I was in the mood for a drink, but I needed to warm up! Server suggested coffee with a shot of Baileys...just what I needed. What really amazed me was the price, around $4.50! They have a lunch menu, choose 2 items for $7.99 or 3 items for $8.99. Long wait and cold food made this a bad experience. Cheddars does not take reservations but you can call 15 minutes ahead and put your name on a list. Even by doing that, the wait was still 35-40 minutes. After 43 minutes, the wait was going to be another 20 minutes because several people were "hanging around" and there were no tables. Since there's limited seating, perhaps Cheddars should limit the amount of time a party can stay at a table, like other restaurants. Another suggestion would be to allow people to make actual reservations until things are back to normal. Once we finally got seated and ordered drinks, they were out of everything we ordered (tea and soft drinks). When the food finally came after a long wait, half the food was cold and crusted over as if it had been sitting out for a very long time. Everyone ordered the same thing so it can't be blamed on one dish taking longer to cook. In addition, some of the sides barely filled the small dishes they are served in. We felt sorry for the waiter. I would recommend staying away from Cheddars until things are back to normal and they are better staffed to handle the business. read more

Haven't been in a while but wasn't disappointed. Took my family there for Sunday lunch. The staff was short bout our server Cory was great. The onion rings are worth the wait. Giant and hand made and enough to share for six people easily. I had the BBQ Chicken Salad which was enough for two! Tasty and well made. My wife and mother in law had the Smokehouse Burger and both said it was the best burger they've had in a long time. My father in law had the philly cheese steak and mashed potatoes and loved both. Prices were fair, service was good and the food was great. A combination you want anytime you go out. Not sure why I waited so long to go back but we'll definitely be back soon! read more

Come in and sit awhile. Walking into Chedder's on a cold day feels like walking in, grabbing a blanket and snuggling in. On cold days, I usually order the Chicken Pot pie. It really hits the spot on a cold day. Second in the running is the loaded potato soup. Devine. There is plenty variety here. Anything from salads to steaks. The prices are pretty good also. Comfort food at its best. For the kids, they have chicken lollipops, which is only grilled chicken on a stick. But, they are a hit in our house. Also, I like that I can ask for no salt on them. The sides for the kids are the exact same sides as the adults. It's NOT the gross version for kids like box mac and cheese or day old fruit. You can feel good about feeding your kiddos here. All and all, this place can satisfy everyone in your group because it has a bit for everyone. The location is great, just across from the movie theater, Starbucks, and The Summit. Worst restaurant experience ever! My husband and I drove to Colorado Springs from New Mexico to meet our son, daughter in law, and grandchildren from Denver. Our plan was to grab some food at Cheddars, visit for a bit, and head back to our respective homes. We have eaten at here a number of times and had never had a bad experience...until today. This is a brief rundown of the events: We arrived at Cheddars at 4:45 and we were seated at 5:18, even though we had called in advance to "reserve" a table and were told it would be no more than a 15 minute wait. After finally being seated it took our waiter another 15-20 minutes to take our order. After placing our order we waited almost an hour to receive our food only to discover that our food was cold. Our waiter did not come back to the table to check on us, even though we attempted to get his attention a number of times. When he finally did show up, we informed him of the cold food and his only response was "what do you want me to do about it?"! I was shocked! And then, approximately a minute or two later he shows up with the check, with no adjustments on the balance!! I rarely complain, but this was completely unacceptable!!! read more

1 hr wait to be seated. Once seated, 30 minutes until we received our drinks. We asked for sweet tea. Trainee waitress brought unsweetened tea 3 times. Actual waitress finally realized someone left the sugar by the sweetened tea container without sweetening. All salads did not come out at same time. My family and I have been to Cheddars, quite a few times since we moved close by. The food is always good and hot, and I have leftovers for later. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about anything on the menu we have questions about. The staff also makes some great recommendations about food and drink specials. I eat a lot of shrimp and I have to tell you this is the best shrimp dish I have had in the Springs area. Prices are comparable to the other restaurants. Try it, you'll like it!! We stopped here mid afternoon for an early dinner so it was very uncrowded. However, we were seated in a back corner near a door to the outside dining area. Very weird place to put us in an almost empty restaurant. There was a bright light in the ceiling over the table that was extremely annoying. The service was very slow but we think our waiter was a bartender instead of a regular server so we'll cut him some slack. The upside to it was the food itself. We had a burger , fish tacos, chicken pot pie and a chicken sandwich. All of the food was very good so that was the saving grace for an otherwise off putting experience. read more

First and last time eating here... terrible service and inedible food. From the time we ordered to the time we got our food, it was well over 45 min. The server told us, "Food will be here in about 10 min, " multiple times. We were about to leave when a manager came over to our table (he probably saw the angry look on my face) to tell us he was informed our order was entered late and there would be no charge for the entrees. Since this was our first time here, we decided to stay. Big mistake. My ribeye had the taste of unseasoned liver that was overcooked. My wife's New Orleans pasta and my daughter's Philly Cheesesteak sandwich were extremely salty. Needless to say, not one of us ate more than half of our meal. My son went to cheddar on Saturday to place and pay for mothers day pick up order for Sunday. On Sunday, he went to pick up the order just to be treated like they did not know what he was talking about and proceeded to ignore him 30+ minutes. They would not let him speak with a manager either. He didn't get the food or his money back. After a long time passed he left. Today I called and asked to speak with an manager, the woman that asked stated she was the manager and her name us Cheyenne. I told her what happened. She asked me for my son's name, and I told get. The queso is ok....tastes like what I keep in my fridge at home from the grocery store. We came here with a large group (18-20). We were seated at 2 tables and 2 booths close to each other, and didn't have any trouble mulling around from table to table to talk to each other. The server was excellent. He got every order right, and everyone seemed to like their food. My husband ordered a burger which was well prepared. Others ordered a variety of foods that were satisfying. I ordered grilled salmon, which unfortunately was overcooked. But I should know better than to order grilled fish at a crowded restaurant on a Friday night. Next time I'll play it safer. Margaritas were huge, tasty and could come with an extra shot. I drank the shot separate and the tequila tasted smooth; I'm not a tequila drinker, though, so I don't have much basis for comparison. Prices were great; sandwiches and burgers are under $10, entrees are $10-$15. Not bad. If I'd had a well prepared entree I'd have given this 4 stars, but we plan to try this again, so I might update my review at that time. read more

A great chain scratch kitchen style restaurant. I stop in for lunch when I am on the road and typically order a salad. Service staff is always well trained and informative. Food is always delicious! Love adding salmon to their salads for a healthy dish at lunch. They have a bar, but I have not had any drinks there, usually working or traveling when I eat here. Cheddar's was my favorite restaurant growing up in a small Ohio town. We ate there every year when traveling to the big city mall to go school shopping. I was so disappointed my first 2 times I haven't thought about coming back. Being that we were staying at a hotel near there and needed a place for a quick nice lunch before friends departed town, Cheddar's just met all the criteria. I don't normally comment on soda, but 1st impression...Best Dr.P I've had at a restaurant I can remember. My daughter said the same thing! The food was amazing! Daughters steak was perfect, wife's chicken sandwich was moist and flavorful, my N.O. pasta was delicious. Question: Why do they not take the tails off the shrimp? I shouldn't have to peal my pasta! NO COVID protection here. Tables not whiped down and servers wearing masks but not always covering nose. Might as well not wear masks. Our table was sticky to touch so hadn't been whiped down in quite a long time. Theres a reason its 3 star. They let people in not wearing masks. Should have walked out. Who cares about food if Cheddars is not taking COVID seriously. I can only imagine how unsanitary the kitchen is. Wearing full masks and wiping down tables is easy no brainer stuff. Went on a Monday night. Was disappointed because they were "out" of the painkiller. The food was alright, but the waitress rushed us the whole time and they weren't closing for an hour and a half. Waitress didn't offer to refill any of my group of five's drinks. She only asked if we needed boxes, took our plates, and gave us the check. Came to great wolf lodge and didn't want to get gouged with prices there. Came to cheddars. I'm not the area but it seems to be one of the only or few nice restaurants in the area. Three of us ate for under 50$! It does get busy on the weekend and they ran out of garlic bread.
