First time here, and came to watch the USAF Thunderbirds fly around for AFA graduation. Don't know why they wouldn't be open earlier since there were literally hundreds of people there for the same thing. Scheels had a party going in their lot, which lured a lot of Cheddar's customers away while they were waiting for Cheddars to open. Had the broiled trout, and it was okay but a bit old due to the brownish meat color. Ordered carrots for the side, but received cauliflower instead. Got the carrots later and they weren't done or hot and no butter present in the dish. Baked potato was cold and not fully cooked. Chef should monitor the dishes headed for the sink to see what people didn't eat. Patio seating out back for a great view. Poor bartender was working frantically while all the other staff was leaning. Super cold draft beer due to the frozen pint glasses. Just a little fine tuning by management would bring this place into a 5 star review. read more

I will never visit this establishment again. We ate there on sunday night. It took 15 minutes for someone to come over and greet us. Our food took another 45 minutes. At which time it was cold when it arrived. Server apologized and it was not his fault but everything was pretty terrible from beginning to end. read more

I thought this place was nice! When you walk in, you think its going to be quite costly, but it wasn't at all. There was a little bit of a wait for a Thursday evening but not bad. Our kiddo was preoccupied by looking at all the fish in their big tank. Once seated we met our server, who was very nice. I wish I could remember her name (I'm horrible with names), but she is a taller girl with red hair! She was very friendly and attentive. My husband ordered a round of chips and queso, and they brought some salsa for us as well. I loved the queso, not too spicy or anything! The food didn't take very long to come out after. I ordered the half rack of ribs, broccoli & cheese casserole and fries. Very delicious! My favorite part of the meal was the casserole. So very goooood. My kiddo had the grilled cheese w/apple and yogurt for his side, the hubby had a buffalo chicken wrap w/fries as well, and our aunt had fish tacos w/green beans. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. Called them because i want to support the places around us, i understand its not a small business but i work for BestBuy and we greatly appreciate any and all people who order for our curbside pickup! I called it in and went there and there was a cook and one server who were both working their buts off and trying to make sure everyone was taken care of! The girl even stopped to have a conversation with me when im sure she had a million things to do, i was so impressed with how they continued to thank eachother and their teamwork was unbelievable! Wait time was good. We got there around 7pm. At first I thought it would be long with so many people waiting. It was just 2 of us so it only took 15 minutes. Server was very accommodating and quick with our food. Unfortunately my food had issues. I ordered the Vegetable plate with baby carrots, broccoli casserole, green beans and loaded baked potato along with chicken tortilla soup. Soup was ok and served immediately. Veggie plate came soon after. The only this warm water the carrots. Our server was very apologetic and tried his best to rectify it. Potato and beans still stone cold. Butter wouldn't even melt in it. So I ate my broccoli and carrots and helped my husband eat his chicken tenders. Those were very good. I recommended the server to let the kitchen know they needed to check their serving temperatures. The Manager did take 50% off my entire. read more

This is terribly ridiculous. On a Thursday at 630PM next to a Great Wolf Lodge, with a known event such as graduation, they were severely under-staffed. This is a failure of management. This was either a mistake or severe incompetence. The server staff was very nice and doing their best since management clearly threw them under the bus. Got to the food.....terrible. Cold and not cooked all the way. I'd give this review 0 stars, but that's not possible. I went there because I had an e-club coupon from corporate. Well guess what? This place is independently owned so they do not accept corporate coupons. My son and I had the burgers and they were pretty good. My daughter had a lunch combo. She ate her salad but did not care for her wrap or soup. I ordered a house salad and there was nothing special. Every now and then you go to a place that disappoints across the board. Website says closes at 930pm. We order for 4 people. We arrive at 850pm to order and waiting for the 4th person to joins us when we are told at 9pm if the other person is not here they have to lock the doors and they won't be allowed in. The only excuses from the manager was he is sorry the website is not theirs we close at 9pm. His attitude was very rude and condensing. Had a bad experience today at Cheddar"s. Complained about the grilled chicken. Tasted like I was bitting in to a piece of rubber. That was bad enough until the cook/ mgr come to my table to harrass me. Our waitress was so very nice and she told me that she has had several complaints about the chicken however, the mgr stated there was nothing wrong with it. Wanted to see movie, but only seats were in front row--serves me right for going on MLK holiday, so we went to lunch instead. I had 6 ounce sirloin steak, it was cooked as I asked, rare and served with two sides. Wife-unit had fish tacos that she liked. She had coffee with Bailey's, tasted good, but had standard complaint that coffee is never as hot as she likes if she gets alcohol put in it. Bailey's is probably the worst, I think they keep it refrigerated. Perhaps they should warm the glassware up prior to making the drink--just a suggestion. I ordered Glenlivet bill said I got Glenfiddich. My palate isn't that sensitive, I notice that bars always bill my Gimlets out as martinis. In any case it was a reasonable pour and very tasty. Without tip, we walked out for about $32 which we thought was a great deal. It is a bit of a drive, but we were obviously pleased. read more

I wish this pale had a better wine list and better food! The location is awesome, patio and view are amazing but service is hit or miss. Any wine that costs less than $12 at the liquor store should not be on a wine list or even offered. Make the prices and the quality match and service and this place could be slammed every night. So this place has a really cool vibe. I got a half rack of baby back ribs with fries and my wife for the fried catfish fillets. The ribs were average, I wish they had been a little more moist. The fries were ehh, but let me tell yah... those catfish fillets.... the best catfish I had ever had. Also we didn't get any silverware in our bag and I know that's gotta be a hard one with so many less people dining in. If my wife's meal was all we were basing this review on I would have easily given them a 5 star. read more

The food and service pretty good. We went on a Saturday around lunch time. Huge food portions! I had the ribs and chicken tenders (yum) and my husband had the chicken pot pie. I got the broccoli casserole as a side and it was sooo good. We were both happy with our food. Definitely order the croissants!!! You get one with your salad, but trust me, you'll want more! Those were my favorite part of the meal. They were a little busy so we did have to ask for our check and water refills, but our waiter did his best to check on us often. We will be back! read more

Ordered lunch from here while we were staying just down the street at the Great Wolf Lodge. It was kind of complicated to order online, their website wasn't recognizing this location. So we ordered on Yelp. We had a 30 minute window for when our food would be ready. My husband went to pick it up and as a result of the 30 minute window our food was all a bit cold, except the salad which was a bit wilted. However, it was really good and I believe I'd give it 5 stars if I experienced it at the correct temps! The honey butter croissants were my favorite thing! We all loved them. I got the lunch combo with 1/2 club, loaded baked potato, and salad. The potato and salad were unremarkable (though tasty), the sandwich was super yummy! Loved that it was on Texas toast. Would definitely visit again, but think we'll try to get a table next time to really get the full experience. read more

Ok. So I used to hear amazing things about this place. I have tried to go several times and wasn't impressed each time I've tried it...but this time was truly the last. I came in with a group and the tables were set up for us. The tables were uneven and wobbly and they told us to put a napkin under the leg...ok. Fine. Next I put my arm on the table while talking with my group and it was sticky...like a lint roller. Eww. At this point I'm just not impressed but I'm trying not to be a snob. Like....seriously...so many people suck or are dramatic with reviews. People have bad days. Etc. I order my overpriced American food and waited patiently. We wait for 45 minutes with nobody coming to help us. I have to get up and walk to a station where the servers are standing around making jokes just to ask for some water. They finally bring us our food and it's ok. It's hot enough. Portions were acceptable. I begin to eat. A spider crawls OUT OF MY MACARONI AND CHEESE right after I pull the hair out of my mouth from my burger. The cheesy little spider drags his body across the table leaving little trails of cheese. My teammate screams and smashes the spider with a table decoration. I call the waitress over and she doesn't even care. I tell her about the hair and the spider and she just stares at me and nods her head. Confusingly she simply says..."OK. I can make you another". I tell her I just want my money back and she argues with me that I should try something else first. At this point our lunch has taken far too long and everyone has lost their appetite. When we're going to leave they try to make me pay for the meal anyways. NO WAY. Eventually I was able to leave. I have kissed this place goodbye and I hope someday to take a flamethrower to it to kill the spider population. If you still go, enjoy your mac and cheese and be sure not to watch that show "Monsters Inside Me". I'll say a prayer for you. read more

We had dinner at Cheddar's tonight (7/29). We arrived at around 6 pm and were seated promptly. Trey, our server, made his way to our table of 4, asked if we had eaten there before (we hadn't) and he joked that it was his first night too. We gave Trey our drink orders which were pretty easy, 3 waters (one with lemon wedges) and a lemonade. Trey brought with him two table settings and set them down, obviously short two for our table. I'm not sure if Trey had too many tables but it seemed to take a while to get our easy drink order. He brought the 3 waters - no lemonade, no lemon wedges and no additional table settings. After a longer wait, he returned with the lemonade and joked about how it was a special brew so it took longer. We gave him our dinner order and he left. After a much longer wait, my daughter went to the bar herself to get lemon wedges for her dad's water. The dinner was delivered by someone else. The side of fries were missing with one dinner and a side kale salad was missing with another dinner. We also asked for 2 additional place setting and said that we had asked for them more than once. The woman apologized and said she would get the fries and table settings. We said that it was too late to bring the kale salad. Trey finally came back to our table when we were halfway through our dinner and asked how things were. We gave him our feedback about the lemon wedges, table settings, missing fries and missing kale salad. We asked that the kale salad be taken off our bill. He half-heartedly apologized, left and never returned to our table. A few minutes later, a woman (we assume she was the manager) came to our table and said she understood that we had asked for the kale salad to be taken off our ticket. We gave her the whole story about our experience with Trey. She listened, apologized and said that the kale salad came with the dinner so it couldn't be deducted. Another server appeared with our bill, nothing was deducted, we paid the full amount - with no tip- and left. If the woman that came to our table was the manager on duty (she never introduced herself) she failed miserably. How do you get respectful, candid feedback on that many issues about a server and not compensate the customer in some way? For what it is worth, the meal itself was good but the service was so sub par that the experience was ruined for us. read more

Worse Monte Cristo sandwich EVER!! The place wasn't that busy and after eating my soup I waited for what seemed to be an extremely long time before she brought my sandwich. Cold meat in the middle and was mostly fried dough (not a sandwich at ALL!). I had to use the restroom and still had half of my coke and most of the "so-called sandwich " sitting at at the table. If I could have given zero stars, I would have. I'm really disappointed that I even need to write this review. Cheddars has always been one of our favorite places in town and with confidence I can say we will never, ever return. We got sat pretty fast, it took our server probably 10 minutes to greet us. Out of the 9 of us we ordered 6 alcoholic beverages that took an insane amount of time to get. As a restaurant manager what I'm about to say next is so ridiculous that it's almost humorous. We order another round of drinks and at that moment our server decides that is the time to check our IDs. It's a good thing none of us were underage. It took probably 40 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did it was ICE COLD. My aunts steak, which was ordered medium well, came out completely raw, as if it was on the grill for maybeeee 1 minute. One of the burgers ordered was the same way. I told the manager how awful everything was, she says she was going to take a look at our ticket and be right over for us. At this point we had been there for almost 2 hours and decided we weren't going to wait another 40 minutes for more ice cold food, so when she came to our table and rudely asked what could be remade, we said we didn't want anything and that we weren't going to pay for any of the awful food, she slammed the ticket book that was in her hand and walked away. No apology or anything. What a manager-let me tell you what. The ONLY thing that was great was the onion rings. I wouldn't waste your time or your money at this establishment. My husband and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. We asked our waiter if we could substitute a salad for our entree side which is included. He said yes for a 99 cent up charge and suggested the Caesar salad. We agreed. When another server brought out our entrees without our salad (and obviously looked as if it was missing something as half of our plates were empty), we said we also had ordered a salad each. She looked blankly at us and said okay. Thought she would bring them, never did. Our waiter finally came by and commented oh, I never got you your salads. We then watched him bring drinks, food and take care of bills for others without ever bringing our salads. When we finished, we agreed we no longer wanted a salad to eat after our meal and would ask for him to just comp an ice tea and obviously take off the up charge for the salads. We're reasonable and understand mistakes happen. He had his manager look at the bill and explain that we never got our salads. He or she never came out to apologize but graciously took off ONLY the 99 cent up charge for the salads we obviously didn't get. However we paid for a FULL entree which includes a side that we didn't receive so basically we paid full price for an entree which was missing half a plate of food. The waiter acted like he was doing a great favor. SHAME on the manager who should have comped the drinks or offered a free dessert. (My husband was still hungry). We won't ever return. read more

We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 4:30, place was not too busy, but every waitress in the restaurant seemed to be moving as fast as their legs would let them. They were all friendly enough, however their hurried manner lead us to feel as though they had very little time. The place felt and looked clean and well kept. We had a $27 tab for 2 adults and 1 child and what an exceptional meal it was. The food far surpassed any expectation I had. We ordered Mac n cheese, Monte Cristo and catfish. The main dishes were all outstanding. My Monte Cristo made me feel like I was fine dining, tasted that way too. First time here. We were seated in the bar right away, but it wasn't obnoxious and loud. Our appetizer of two dips and tenders was good. My companion liked the spinach dip whole I thought the queso was better, but both were good and the tenders were clearly breaded in house instead of at a factory. When Evelyn the bartender is not working, this place rates a ZERO for poor and extremely slow customer service. When Evelyn is working, we go to the bar for her superior customer service. My wife and I have been coming here since they opened and since Tony, the last manager of the restaurant has left, customer service and food quality has declined. We don't even know who replaced Tony as manager. He/She never shows meets with customers to check how things are-unlike Tony who we met almost every time we ate there. We don't even bother eating in the general dining area anymore because it is too aggravating. Overall wait staff is marginally competent and the wait staff turnover appears high. Please don't waste your time eating here unless you have time to waste. The service is slower than pond water, the staff is disengaged, and the place lacks leadership in their management team. We stopped in last night to get a bite to eat and walked out 15 minutes later. The bartender, a young male, was more pre-occupied with flirting with several girls at the bar instead of making our drink. 15 minutes after our waitress put in my drink order, it still hadn't been made. Our waitress seemed disinterested and disappeared after taking our order. We ordered an appetizer, Chips and Queso along with our drinks. We left after 15 minutes because the bartender hadn't even started our drink order and I didn't want to have my appetizer served with my meal. VERY DISAPPOINTING and it'll be a long time before we return. Scratch that, we are done with Cheddars. I'd rather eat at the Taco Bell they just built next door. I told the waiter no butter on the broccoli and it came back with butter, so I asked for another...it never came out. I told her I was vegan and my salad came back drenched in butter when I clarified multiple times that I did not want butter. She also forgot to put my salad in so it took 45 mins.
