While the service was great (thank you Cherokee!!), I can't say the food was over the top. Compared to other Cheddar locations (having visited a few in my home state, Texas), this was one "just okay." The croissants are $3.50 for 3, they were tasty!! I would say just order those and a drink if you find yourself over here. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken and it was so chewy, like it had been reheated. The rice that accompanied it was hard. The carrots were great though, but the green beans were also hard. I've never had hard green beans in my life. Even if they were from a can, they would've been mushy, so I'm not sure how you can even get hard green beans. My husband's chicken fried steak was a little rubbery and bland. His mashed potatoes were bland too. Oh wait, the onion ring appetizer was fresh! So there's that. Anyway, I don't see myself visiting again especially when it costs as much as it does for my whole family to dine. If the food had been fresh I would pay it in a jiffy, but I have to safeguard my wallet. The food was ok. Steak came our raw. It was sent back. Took 15 mins for a refire of the steak and there was a coating of black pepper on it. Had to scrap the pepper off to even attempt to eat it Friend was done before steak came back. No offer to take steak off or reduce bill since this was their error. Too bad. We were seated quickly but the actual wait time for our food was ridiculously long. Took about 35 minutes to receive our food. This place has a vast menu. I'd say a good variety of options if your party has different tastes. I'm sure everyone could find something they like off the menu. They did not provide a kids menu to draw/color on, which was unfortunate for my 5 year old looking for something to do during our 35 minute wait. There was a good selection of kids menu items though, for a reasonable price. My daughter ordered the penne pasta with Alfredo sauce. It came with garlic bread and I also asked for a side of corn. She very much enjoyed her food. The noodles were sauced up nicely and the corn was seasoned well. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich which hit the spot! It was delicious. My sweet potato fries, however, were cold and stale. My husband ordered the ribs and chicken tender plate. He said this was a weird combination but he still enjoyed his meal. Overall, we very much enjoyed our meals but the wait time made us uncomfortable. Especially when it seemed like many people around us were getting their food when they had been seated after us. Visited the restaurant at 5:30 on Christmas Eve expecting a long wait. Our group of 12 waited 10 minutes. We were treated to excellent service and our meals were brought promptly and correct. Covid update: we felt very safe inside on a Monday afternoon. Everyone wore masks and stayed their distance. We started with the onion rings. Crispy and served hot. Biting into them was sweet onion and no onion membrane. Delicious but a tad greasy. I had the sweet and heat chicken. Served with steamed carrots and broccoli tasting like a super healthy dinner. Recently went here for Labor Day Weekend while I was visiting friends who moved nearby. I loved the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and excellent customer service so much that I went here the entire time I was on vacation for the Labor Day Weekend. I hope the management or ownership will let their Bartenders JJ, Rob, Nicole, and Melissa know I greatly appreciated the hospitality by each of them when I came to this restaurant for lunch and dinner each night for the holiday weekend. 5 stars well deserved!!!! read more

Great option for dinner while staying down the street at the Hampton Inn. The food had something for everyone. I settled on a BBQ Chicken Salad that came out quickly with a large portion and a nice croissant roll to go with it. The prices were reasonable, and the quality was good. They seemed to be very accommodating for groups (splitting the check without issue, etc.) I would definitely go there again if I was in the Springs. read more

Three of us had a business dinner meeting from about 4:15 to 6:45 PM on Thursday February 27th. We were seated in the bar area and attended to by a charming, friendly, fun and very very good server named Nichole. The food was good as always and Nichole made certain we had everything we needed. As it turned out, my chicken fried steak was initially chicken fried chicken, which looks the same, but as soon as I cut into it the difference was obvious and Nichole corrected that error swiftly and with charming humor. "10 out of 10" was my son's description of his burger and his strawberry lemonade was superb! :) My salmon, veggies and sweet potato fries were good ... maybe 8 out of 10. Nothing was bad, just not outstanding. As for the service, it was kind of rough. Our waiter was friendly to the point of cockiness. Then he forgot the salad until we reminded him after we got the food and we had to chase him down for drink (water and lemonade) refills. I went to dinner here a few weeks ago with a friend... at like 9pm. They were getting ready to close but they seated us and were prompt and respectful!! Honestly, we ordered the chicken tender kids meals with a side salad substitute. It came out fresh and quickly, and it's cheaper than the same meal at Cane's or even Chick-fil-A The place was basically empty except for a few people finishing up meals so it was a calm atmosphere with some pleasant music in the background. We are usually fans of Cheddars but picked up an order today and the food was good but we ordered different sides and were given french fries for both orders. My mistake was not checking the order before leaving the restaurant and opening the bag when got home. I shouldn't have to do that but seems that is what you need to do. We'd like to eat our lunch while a) it's still warm, and b) it's still lunchtime. Fortunately, someone else was paying attention and brought us our meal. Ate here with the family today. Although, the food was good we had to wait over an hour to get our meal even though the restaurant was slow at the time. The server came back to our table about 20 minutes after we ordered our meals to tell us he lost our ticket and we needed to reorder. This is the reason for the three star rating. After waiting an additional 40ish minutes, we asked to speak with the manager. The food came out right when we asked to speak with the manager though. The manager was great and handled the situation the best she could. She did discount our ticket because of the issue; however, we did not have a great experience because of the servers error. read more

Kudos to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen on Interquest in Colorado Springs. We had a large group of women in for a holiday luncheon and the management team was very helpful in accommodating us. We loved the fact that we could sit in the side "atrium" and not be squished in withthe rest of the customers. Marie Kauffman really went above and beyond to help host the event. We also had good interactions with Jeremy Agues, Abby (at the podium) and the Wait Staff. ALL the ladies agreed that their food was very very good, fresh, and tasty And we didn't feel rushed to get in/out. On Friday, March 25th I received an ad that popped up in my text from Cheddars inviting me to take advantage of purchasing 2 lunches for $13.99. My wife and I were close to the area so we went to the only Cheddars in Colorado Springs off Interquest Parkway. When we go to the front foyer we notice the Hostess wasn't present. After looking around for a few seconds we saw her assisting a Server gather some tables together for a large party. Within 5-8 minutes, more and more people began to gather at the front door. A Server then came up, looked at the gathering and just walked away. 3 minutes later, the Hostess appeared. She never acknowledged the group with an apology, she just told my wife and I to follow her. After being seated at table 32/1(which is Victoria's station, the young Server that came up to the front and quickly walked away) were were served pretty promptly. However, I had a very rude experience with another Server who I was trying to get her attention by waving and calling to her, "Excuse me!" three times, yet she chose to ignore me and kept right on walking. I asked Victoria the get Manager who came over and told us that that Server that ignored me had a hearing problem. Needless to say, we've never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant and needless to say, we'll never be back! read more

we went to cheddars last night for dinner the food was delicious... our problem is the waitress Stephanie.. she's an older lady and The entire time she was serving is ignored my husband (he's African American) spoke directly to me (I'm white). my husband felt very disrespected but didn't speak up as he didn't want to cause a scene. when it came time for the check Stephanie handed the check directly to me. my husband told her he was paying she she snatched the check from in front of me and slammed it down in front of him... again he didn't say anything.. as we were leaving there was a couple behind us that was also interracial and we asked them how she was treating them and they said the same thing she ignored husband who was African American and only spoke to his wife who was white.. Strange experience at Cheddar's tonight... When we were seated our table had some small puddles of on it which had some of our silverware in it. I asked a busboy if he could wipe the table down because it was wet. As he pulled his towel from his apron he dropped it on the ground. He picked it up and wiped our table anyway. That's how our night out started. Then it took close to 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive. My father in law had the wrong sides with his meal.
