My family and I really enjoy eating at this restaurant. It's consistently good. First off, the location is great. It's nestled in with other restaurants and retail spaces, so if there's a wait, you can easily find something to occupy your time with doing. That being said, the staff does their best to get you seated quickly. In the times that I've been to this location, the food has always been fresh, hot, and delicious. They've started bringing an order of fresh honey butter croissants to each table , which is a great touch. Every time that I've visited this location, the restaurant has been clean and the staff is attentive. I came here wanting a good meal and an awesome drink. It took the bar staff a few minutes to greet me. I got a Texas tea and the Dijon chicken with mushrooms. My drink was awesome. My meal came out quickly and before my side salad. It was good but didn't taste super fresh. The second piece of chicken was chewy and I asked for it to be sent back and put on the grill a few minutes (i don't take a chance with chicken) the bartender (Scott) brought me a brand new piece and it was delicious i scarfed it down. This was my first time at Cheddar and probably my last time. Menu is limited and not much of a selection to offer. They have comfort food, some sea food option, some steak options, soup, salads, and appetizers. The aesthetics of the places gives off vibes of a high end restaurant but its entrees are a disappointment. Offered a chicken grilled fillet with lime seasoning and rice and broccoli. Chicken was overly cooked and dry and rice was overly flavored. The only things that stood out was the croissants that were warmed and drizzled with a sweet flavored creamy mixture and the strawberry lemonade. My husband ordered the home style meatloaf and was below average. For the price I paid and the quality I received I was better off cooking this entrees at home and at a comfort of my house. People definitely overrate Cheddar's scratch kitchen, and thus a honest review would be 2 out of 5. My Daughters took my wife and I out to dinner for my wife's birthday, last night the service was subpar, the cutlery was dirty with food particles and heavy water spots , the crescent rolls they put out were half baked at best , there is absolutely no Vegan options. When I food arrived approximately 45 minutes later everything was lukewarm, mushy fried shrimp, fries were cold , my chicken fried steak was subpar, the brown gravy look like the add beef bouillon to white gravy, because it looked oddly creamy and gelatinous. I came to dinner here with a friend and had a great time as always! Whenever I'm in town Cheddar's is one of my go-to spots to catch up with friends! Before my salad even came out, our waitress brought out 2 warm Honey Butter Croissants. I don't know when this change happened, but praise the lord that it did! I am OBSESSED with their Honey Butter Croissants. They are delicious and perfect in every way and I'll be visiting more often now that I know they serve them with every meal. I do remember back in the day when you had to request a croissant just to get it with your salad. I try to make healthier choices when eating out, so I ordered the Coconut Shrimp with a house salad and baked potato (even though I LOVE their chicken pot pie). I don't know why, but I always love when someone else makes my salad and of course loved their house salad with eggs, tomatoes and cheese. The biggest issue was no reservations and the call ahead option did not seem to make our extensive (+1 hr) wait any shorter. I placed an order through the cheddar's app for two entrees and sides. I pick up my food and make it home only to realize there is no sides in my bag. I called the restaurant to speak to a manager and after a very long wait time I spoke to manager that apologize and said she will replace the side. I get a call back five minutes later by one of the waiter stating the manager said my side show up when the order was placed through the app and if I want my sides, I will need to pay extra money out-of-pocket in order to get them. I explain to the waiter the sides are included with the entrées. She goes on to explain that something I would have to speak to the manager about. I asked the waiter may I speak to manager and she left me a hold for almost 20 minutes only to come back to the phone to let me know the managers are not available and feel free to leave my name ams number and I will get a call back This was two days ago and I still have not received a callback. I was in Cheddas lastnight, when my friend and I was seated the side of the booth I was going to seat at was very wet. I saw a girl with the bucket they clean the tables with and asked if she could wipe the water off the set. She half ass wiped it and says done. I looked and it was still water on the seat. I asked for some of her napkins, she gave me 2, I asked for more then she hands me half the stack, I then ask why didn't she wipe it completely dry, she just rolled her eyes at me. I wiped the set dry and she's walking away to the table behind me. I asked why was walking away and she said nothing so I threw the napkins on the table she's about to clean. So, we ate no problem. We're outside leaving then the tall slim Manger with the bad teeth (white guy) comes running behind us asking me why I threw the napkins at the girl (which I didn't). We had words and he was very nasty and rude to me so I cussed him out. 17 year veteran chef here The standard experience you would expect from a restaurant. We ordered and shared the coconut shrimp as well as an appetizer of the same. We ordered a kids plain hamburger as well. The reason for not giving the 4th and 5th stars is because I had to repeat myself several times regarding the appetizer, the kids plain hamburger came out with cheese then the re-fire took 20 minutes. Even in a busy kitchen a rush order kids burger shouldn't take that long. The quality was mostly standard. Good, but nothing to write home about. Portions were decent. The pain killer sauce is not very good. It's overly sweet and uses what tastes like piña colada daiquiri mix. They really need to balance it out with an acid like lemon juice and maybe a bit of pepper, less mix. read more
