Bro, that Chicken Pot Pie from Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen was AWESOME, but I felt bad I dragged my coworkers here for dinner, as I could tell my coworkers didn't enjoy their meals. One of my coworkers ordered a Ribs & Steak plate and requested his steak to be medium rare. What he got was a small, well done steak and to top it off, his rack of ribs weren't even fallin' off the bone. My other coworker had ordered a Chicken Fried Steak, but he too didn't finish his meal. I guess I was the only dude that hit da jackpot, as the Chicken Pot Pie I got was fabulous! The pie crust was nice & flaky, and the pie filling was generous. With my meal, I also got a house salad which was included with my meal. Overall - I would say satisfying comfort food, attentive and friendly service, & very reasonable prices. My husband and I love cheddars we came to visit for the convention this weekend and we decided to come here. I hate to say it but I was very disappointed with the food and service. The host was very nice and we spoke a bit. But the waitress took forever to attend us to even get our drinks. I ended up ordering an appetizer on the kiosk and she finally came shortly after. She was sweet and attentive after. The appetizer was ok I got chips and queso but the chips were stale. I got the chicken Alfredo with broccoli and it had no flavor at all! The only thing that was flavorful was the chicken. The garlic bread tasted like a dirty oven or like it's been sitting there for a while and got the taste of the oven. Stopped in after work for an evening meal. Just me so I settled in at the bar. For a restaurant so well lit, the atmosphere was intimate. The TV played the Knicks v Cavs game. A spirited contest of two playoffs team. The bartender, a bubbly woman who greeted everyone with a smile and honey butter croissant, supplied me with a menu and utensils. While I perused the dinner options, I watched as she cleanly concocted a delicious Long Island iced tea. Ready to make my selections, I settled on the ribs and fried shrimp with steamed broccoli and bacon mashed potatoes. My dinner was made expeditiously and came out piping hot. While the ribs were slathered in sauce, they were tender and juicy. Falling off the bone. Mashed potatoes were sprinkled with bacon and shredded cheese. Can't mess up broccoli. I mean you can, but if you did, you probably shouldn't be cooking ‍. Chased with my adult beverage and the annoyance of basketball, my evening retired quite comfortably. I love a Monte Cristo sandwich, and I have a friend who insists it's not a real Monte Cristo unless it's deep-fried (a lot of places skip that step). This place does deep-fry theirs, and I figured if I split it with my husband, it's only about 800 calories. This was my first time at a Cheddar's, and the hype about the croissants they serve at the beginning is definitely real. Also, the inside of the restaurant is surprisingly nice. Unfortunately, the waitress uniforms kind of bring the vibe down a bit. My husband got the potato soup to go with his half of the sandwich. It was fine, though I would've liked a little more seasoning. I asked for my Monte Cristo to be made a certain way and requested the kitchen make sure the cheese was fully melted inside. A lot of the photos I'd seen showed unmelted cheese. I thought about ordering it "well done," but figured they might just deep-fry it to a crisp. When it arrived, the cheese was perfectly melty, but the sandwich was extra greasy--too much even for me, and that's saying something. It was okay overall, but I don't have much desire to go back. Took me forever to try this place. I have driven by it easily 1000 times. I noted the star count wasn't high, but this is an established chain. The other Yelpers were right. The food was nothing special and my chicken fried steak was absolutely not worth the price as the steak was not high quality. The gravy was near flavorless. The potato was dried out. There's something about Cheddars that just keeps us going back. The ambience is nice, especially with the huge ceiling fan, and the fancy aquarium wall which divides the main dining room and the bar. The food is always good, prices are very reasonable, and the staff is always great. We've never had an issue at Cheddars and we highly recommend it to anyone who's on a budget or not! read more

Waitress states that customers cannot get any paper napkins because manger of this location wants to save on costs. Cheddars kitchen has just lost our business and we won't be coming back. Any sound minded person who cares about hygiene and needs paper napkins for cleanliness and reduce spreading of germs... Should BOYCOTT any restaurants that don't offer paper napkins. I could consider becoming a vegetarian if all salads were like this. Maybe add ham or steak on top. Steak was a 16oz T-bone. Seared nicely. It is topped with garlic butter. The tea was some of the deepest brewed in the area. Doesn't need sugar when it's this full-bodied. This was robust tea. Love it. There is nothing to take away from a full-on fiver. I had an errand to run in north Irving, so I decided to check out Cheddar's for lunch since I hadn't been in a couple of years. I love their Caesar Pasta Salad which I ordered with salmon, but you can also get it with chicken if you prefer. The salmon and pasta were cooked perfectly, and the romaine was crisp and fresh. I ended up taking the entire salad home, except for one bite, because I stuffed myself on their Spinach Dip. It was so good! Comping the steak that I couldn't eat because it was not cooked properly, didn't really resolve the issue. The seasoning that made the rare steak too spicy to eat even if I wanted to eat it, wasn't addressed. Giving customers inedible food for free only looks good on paper. My original steak was ordered medium rare without steak butter. On the first attempt, there was no steak butter but it was cooked rare. The first attempt with second steak was slathered in steak butter and again was blood rare. Having Ruben, the kitchen manager saying the steak was medium rare was an insult to my intelligence. I grew up in the restaurant industry. I managed a steak house for over 5 years, so I know how to judge how a piece of beef is cooked without cutting it. I always make a major bisection, so the overall doneness is visible for the kitchen. It really dries the meat out but with irregular shaped cuts of meat, it the only way to demonstrate what is wrong with the steak. When Cheddar's is on their game, it is excellent value. The problem is it is like playing Russian Roulette. My wife and I dine out 90% of the time, we just want what we ordered, prepared the way we ordered. Cheddar's was a total waste of time. We might give it a try again in 2026, but not this year. read more

The waitress was hilarious and the food came out quick. My ribs were sliding off the bone and extremely tender. It has been at least a decade since I stepped foot inside a Cheddar's. It may be another decade before I step inside this particular location. When I pointed to the broken edges on the glass, the bartender took the glass without saying a word. There was neither an apology nor an acknowledgment of the fact the glass was broken. Clearly, staff discovering customers were given drinks in broken glasses must be the norm. My drinking glass was not the only broken glass to be found. I was visiting with a friend in Irving, TX and we decided to go to Cheddar's for lunch because my friend had never been to one. We had a very enjoyable experience. We were greeted with a smile and we were quickly seated. Our waitress name was Claire and she took very good care of all of our needs. She promptly took our orders and we received our food quickly, and it was fresh and hot. My friend really enjoyed the food and had a very good experience. Love cheddars! food is always good love the croissants But probably won't be back to this particular location the last time we visit we had waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order , never got my croissant (asked over 4 times for them) got the food and never the croissant ( instead I got some to go) Service was horrible I would understand if they were busy but not at all. There was a booth next to us that ended up leaving (they were there before us and had no drinks or anything on the table) I'm guessing because they also took a long time they left. We placed an order online at 5:04pm. Received a confirmation and then drove to the restaurant. Arrived by 5:26pm and called the restaurant to tell them we were at curbside pickup space three. They said they were packing it up and would be right out. 20 minutes later I had to call again. And the guy that answered said wait, they didn't bring it out already? 5 minutes later he brought the food out and it was not hot. Since it was going on an hour and we had multiple guests waiting at the house, we left. Got to the house and then found hair in one of the containers of food. I called the restaurant today at 11am to talk to a manager. A girl rudely answered asked me why I was needing to speak to one. I waited on hold for 7 minutes and finally hung up, absolutely ridiculous. It is very unlikely I will return anytime soon with such horrendous service. read more

I usually love cheddars but yesterday i ordered out for the family bundle and i paid 40 twice due to them telling me they couldn't see my 40 that i showed them i paid online when ordering. Then i get my order which was missing the honey mustard and my salmon was supposed to be Honey mustard bourbon glaze and it was plain. So after driving 20 minutes and paying over 80 dollars for a meal that is 40 i am highly upset will not be going again or recommend. It was to many issues with my meal and my money. read more

Food was ok, got our salads served after our main course, waiter had no clue. Margaritas were very bad, no flavor or tequila in it. Was sent back twice, manager had no clue. It was very upsetting my wife & I was celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary! Told the manager Robert, but he did not care! This is the nearest cheddars from me which is 20 min but I was in the mood for chicken ceaser salad since I was in the area. I placed a to go order and when I got there and checked in, no one came for 15 min until I called and they came immediately out within a minute to give me my food. I drove all the way home only to get home to literally have ZERO dressing on my salad.
