I really like this restaurant. The food and prices are a good value. The only area of improvement would be in staff. We tend to get what I would consider sub-par wait staff. Today was very busy and our waiter was fine but the kitchen made a mistake on our order and the wait time was really long. Last time, our waiter didn't know what was going on. This is nothing some additional training can't correct. I recommend giving it a try. The monte christo, bourbon salmon, club, chicken tortilla soup, Painkillers, and chicken tenders are all winners! read more

Scratch cooking I beg to differ the sign of a horrible cook is one that puts sugar in green beans they were putrid! Not to mention I'm sure it was processed sugar which is worse than organic sugar. Horrible service and food was not cooked thoroughly!!!! We went to eat there it was my first time back in 13 years because of a had experience before. There was 4 of us in our party and we order the croissants for one of the appetizers and the were not even cooked all the way they were still dough in the middle. My pot pie was also not cooked completely the dough was still raw 2 of the members of our parties food was cold once it arrived. Our waiter was not observant at all we had to ask for refills more than 3 times per person and some never even got the refill. Me and my fiancée came in one evening and were sat in the bar area, probably around 10pm and were taken care of pretty fine up until the food came out, my buffalo wrapper had honey hot on it instead of buffalo sauce, my fiancée's salmon was raw in the center, as fellow service industry workers we understand that these things happen, the service manager Jamie talked to us, told us that he would see that our food was prepared correctly and as soon as possible, ok, about 15 minutes later we received a very raw salmon and an incorrectly made buffalo wrapper ( I eat mine grilled with no cheese, and it came out fried with cheese), fairly disappointed In The quality of food being so poor with the manager overseeing its preparation, we just sent the food back and said we didn't want anything else, wasted an hour of our time. read more

Before I write this, I'm going to acknowledge that this is mother's day. With that said we arrived at 1:30 pm and was told there would be a 30-45 min. Very good food for 4 of us. Ordered chips and queso, a chicken wrap, a lunch combo with the Monte Cristina and tortilla soup, Cajun Pasta with salad, 1/2 club sandwich with baked potato. Queso was good and chips fresh. Hot sauce was not very flavorful or spicy . Food came out after a decent amount of time. Sandwiches came out on opposite plates with their side items and what was supposed to be a baked potato was potato soup. Pasta came but no salad or garlic toast. All was quickly remedied and food was great. Server was new, but did check on us often. Carpet around us needed some vacuuming but it was the lunch hour. Would definitely come back though. read more

All around a solid place to go if you're in from out of town and looking for a quick meal and a good bar. They are in the parking lot with several hotels, which is kind of their M.O., but they have a nice bar area (little small) with several tvs and plenty of sports on. This was one of the worst dining experiences ever! It statrted out good with crescent rolls being sent to the table and went downhill from there! We ordered drinks and an appetizer and then ordered our food. They forgot our appetizer, brought dinner out. Salmon was raw, steak was horribly tough, and baked potato was hard as a rock. Sent salmon back and it got put in the microwave. It came back out and had a black hair on the plate. At that point we decided to pay our bill and leave. Talked to manager on duty and she rolled her eyes at us. I never want a free meal and did not complain to get one, but it is obvious when all the meals are left uneaten that they have a problem. Don't know if we will ever go back here! I gave them one star because you can't go lower and at least the crescent rolls were good! read more

I had the worst experience I have had in recent memory. My wife and I came in and were taken to a booth right away, as we walked through the restaurant we saw dirty floors littered with food and used napkins. The booth they led us to had food on the bench, I wiped it off with my hand before sitting down, the hostess said sorry about that. As people finished their meals and left the restaurant the bus girl would wipe the table off wiping the debris onto the seats and floor and leaving it. We ordered our meals and mine was brought before the drinks, my wife's food was not brought out until I was halfway done eating after the waitress walked by and said "you still haven't gotten your food?" At one point a corner booth was bussed and thick liquid that looked like gravy was spilled from the table to the kitchen. It was left uncleaned for at least 20 minutes, finally after an elderly lady stepped in it and almost slipped, I had had enough. I got up went to the front and got the manager who apologized and got a mop bucket to clean it himself. My wife did not eat her food because it was served cold, but more than anything had lost her appetite because of the condition of the restaurant. I may never eat at another Cheddar's ever again. After the hostess sat me I waited 15 minutes for any sort of acknowledgement, then I got zero apology for waiting. The bartender/server (male) was extremely rude the entire time. This is usually my go to place to eat lunch and dinner with family and friends! On my Birthday June 9th 2018, I went in to have lunch with My family. We were seated immediately and then not talked to again after that. We waited for around 20 minutes before I told my family this is ridiculous and we are leaving, no one had even came to get our drink order and the restaurant was almost empty. As we walk past the hostess table we see around 4-5 waiters standing around not doing anything. We told them we were leaving and they had nothing to say. I called and spoke to the assistant manager who told me he was sorry about the situation and would have the GM follow up with me. That never happened. Our waiter, Michael, was wonderful and our food was great. But the hostess with the sunflower face mask really needs to be fired or given some more training. We had 6 people and a high chair and was told we can't sit together because it's 7 people when a few months ago I had a group of 16 and was sat just fine. We said it was fine and she put us where there was literally a wall between us after I saw several tables that would seat us all. She had horrible customer service skills and a seriously bad attitude. I've managed a restaurant for about 2 years and if one of my girls did that, she'd be gone that same day. Flies, not clean water glasses, slow for lunch food... Incredibly gross smelling bathrooms. Not kidding.

Lets start with a bad glass of wine, it happens and it was replaced. Then a small cockroach in my bourbon! New glass, new bottle of bourbon, still bug parts in the drink. I suggested to the bar tender that he might need to replace the ice. Nothing... the bar tender just did not care. I do think the food is good and priced right but to have a bar tender that does not care.... I am done. We did not get a visit from a manager, we did not get the feeling anything was being done to fix the problem. I could've easily gave 5 stars if it wasn't for the hostess in the front. Her and a young man were talking when we walked in and didn't even acknowledge us until 5 minutes later. I live in Lubbock, but never been to Cheddars before. A friend of mine however loves their grilled chicken salad and so wanting to surprise her I ordered 3 of these salads to go, which by the way are not cheap. The bill came to $25 and change. So I wrote at bottom of bill a $5 tip for the young, blue-eyed waiter with glasses at the bar. Besides bagging the salads for me, he did nothing else. So I figured 20% gratuity should be more than generous. This happened 2 days ago, and this morning I am checking my bank account and noticed that my whole charge was $32 NOT $30 and change. Someone altered the bill to show $7 gratuity instead of $5. I called and talked to the manager, a guy. He apologized for what happened and that was that. Never once did he asked me any questions about the transaction whatsoever. I guess to them having a customer pay more for a not intended tip is banal. We went to cheddars this evening and the service was horrible. Our waitress spoke to us once to take our order, and we didn't see her again until 5 or so minutes after our food was finally brought out. My plate was missing an item, carrots, and the salad that came with my meal wasn't brought to us until we were able to ask for it. Salad finally arrived after I finished my meal, and the waitress said the kitchen was out of carrots. She said she'd bring me a menu to pick out a different side. A while later she brings carrots that have magically appeared (which is nice-ish), but they aren't glazed or sweetened at all like the side normally is. At this point we've eaten all of the rest of the food. We hadn't received refills until we got the check essentially, thankfully the refills were put in to-go cups. She also brought us a to-go box for the salad, and never actually apologized. read more

Wow what a joke. I moved to the area from Virgina and had the most friendly and outgoing bartenders at Cheddars there. So I figured that would be the same case at this Cheddars location. Boy was I wrong.... As me and my significant other sat down at the bar for drinks and dinner we were ignored by the bartender for at least 5 minutes while he argued with servers. After this unreasonable wait the bartender on shift July 20th 2016 asked us " What can I get for y'all?" So we asked for a food menu and the bartender slammed a cup on the table and tossed menus at us. We asked "I am sorry sir would you like us to sit elsewhere?" and he replied with "No I am busy you will have to wait." I do not know how whoever is reading this review feels about someone snapping back at you because they have to work. But it is absolutely unacceptable and I will no longer provide ANY Cheddars my business until this problem is resolved. I think they have amazing chicken tenders. I order the appetizer size, which is more than enough for one person and cheaper. I also think their ribs are very good. Sometimes they have to much sauce, so I ask for it on the side but, very good. Asian salad is also great. This place has a lot of different types of food, so it's easy to please everyone. Service is good and waiters are friendly. Also $4.00 huge margaritas is a plus. read more
