This location does not represent Cheddars accurately. We have tried this location several times and every visit we consistently have service that is sub-par. The food is inconsistently average. Today's visit include two rude hostesses, a bug in my wife's Chicken Caesar Salad, and overcooked/dry spinach and artichoke dip. Had an excellent time here! Jordan was a top-notch server. He came by multiple times, got us new drinks when we were low, and recommended the limited -time Chicken and Waffles, which were the best I've ever had. No need for syrup, the waffle dough was sweet and full, unlike the wimpy and doughy ones at other places. The chicken was delicious and gristle-free. The croissants are their signature, they came out a little cool, but they were very good. The country fried steak was delicious, the breading was amazing, and the gravy was very good. Dinner with my Aunt, Uncle, mother, father, sister, brother in law. 4 of these are elderly. Late 80s,. So you can't really get these people up and move them once seated. 7 full size adults. So what does the inept staff at the front desk do? They seat them at a booth for 6. Uh....really.? Did you flunk 2nd grade math? One of you gets to sit in the aisle like a step child. This guy was so great my grandkids would love to sit with that table guy again in their words my husband was turning 61 years old and he made it a day of family lunching and I read him very high. Don't eat here if you have a food allergy. Came in this morning at 11:15, well before any kind of lunch rush. We asked for a gluten menu, as my girlfriend is severely allergic. We made it very clear that the salad we were ordering for her needed to be be gluten free, no candied pecans (just in case), and no croutons. The salad came out with no pecans, no croutons, and big freaking croissant on it. When you order something gluten free, off the gluten free menu, and explicitly state "I have a food allergy", how hard is it to not throw a huge piece of flaky bready gluten right on top of the dish? I'm new in town and I tried Cheddars for the first time. I know a lot of locals don't like it and are probably tired of it, but I REALLY liked it and had a great experience! I had the chicken penne pasta and it was maybe the best I've ever had! Oh, for starters, they gave us a croissant that was so amazing because it had honey and honey butter on it. Wow! When it comes to eating at American restaurants, honestly we don't eat at very many because I can easily cook American food at home. However, we always stop at this Cheddar's on our way home from the beach. The food is very reasonable priced and the selection is great. All of the kids meal are around $5 and include a free drink - What a deal! I always find that food is fresh and never over seasoned. The atmosphere in here is very nice too. I really enjoy the beautiful fish tanks. I saved the best part for last which are the HONEY BUTTER CROISSANTS. I usually try to stay away from carbs and rarely find that bread is a necessity. Best Buffalo chicken tenders around. I ordered to go and the to go process is going to the bar and waiting on the bartender to get your order. Not the most efficient to go process as I was hoping to be in and out but did have to wait a while just to get my already prepared to go order. I was pleasantly surprised as this was my first visit to this chain. . I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap grilled which was huge and delicious. The wife had the grilled fish taco which I also tried and they were also very tasty. We also had the Caesar salad which came with a croissant. The croissant stole the show as it was delightful. Still warm from the oven with a taste of honey and butter. It melted in my mouth and made me wish I had more. The salad was also good but the croissant was amazing. The service was spot on and we felt well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. Would definitely come back! read more

Hmmm... where to begin. There was no wait (ate a late dinner @ 9:15), so was seated as soon as a table was cleaned off. The wait staff seems to be still getting a feel for things. We waited ten (10) minutes before the waiter even made it to our table to greet us. Not good, so I let him know. He actually took it quite well, apologized for the wait, took our orders & was on his way. From that point on, he remained very accommodating and nice. Service was still a little slow, but once we had drinks & an appetizer, we were good with it. The food... oh the yummo food! The chips & cheese. Great! (free beef for the cheese too). The spasagna was really good too (think spaghetti under lasagna, covered with cheese and a meat sauce). Tasty! The fall-apart roast beef was pretty decent too. It wasn't too dry, came w/ lots of potatoes/carrots and celery. Prices were really good, just read previous reviews & you'll see. Most main course items are $10 or less. Biggest complaint was waiting on slow service. The waiter seemed to get sidetracked easily & would forget things. Nice & unique atmosphere! I enjoyed the flavors and freshness of the meal, for dessert I ordered a monster chocolate chip cookies with a scoop of ice cream Togo. My waiter seem to have forgotten about me because I only received one drink and no refills. I had to wave my arms in the air once I seen her at a another table to get her to come back to my table and bring me my check. Cheddar's is no longer open in the city of Shreveport, where I reside. They are very confused. My wife called in our dinner order I then drove by to pick it up. I parked in one of their curbside spots. I wasn't sure how to proceed so I called my wife and told her to call them to let them know I was waiting for the order in spot 10. A women comes out and asks for my name. This same women walks back out about 15 minutes later and says they have no order for me. I called my wife back who then called Cheddar's and they told her they have no order for us. I tell the women to send out the manager. He came out and said oh I'm sorry not sure what happened but your orders been sitting in the kitchen. I found out from my wife that this same manager was very rude to her on the phone. Very poor service. This was my first and last visit to Cheddars. We arrived at 5 PM on Wednesday. The restaurant was 25% busy at best and we still had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Even with the main dining room so empty, the hostess seated us in the bar and there was no one there. It still took 10 minutes for someone to wait on us. Finally the bar tender stopped over. There are kiosks on every table to play games, etc. The bartender took our order. While waiting for for our order, we noticed the kiosk was filthy so we asked to have it removed from the table. The bar floor was littered with napkins, etc and there were spilled drinks on it. The Country Fried steak had about 1/4 pound of meat and 3/4 pound of breading. I'm not kidding! The green beans were green in color but not true green beans and they had some awful flavored syrup on them. The bartender was nice but didn't ask if we would like refills. My wife ordered a loaded bake potato with bacon but it arrived with none. This place is disgusting! read more

Slow service. Waited several minutes for a table and then for a waiter. Food was not great either.

We were looking for late night dining and so we decided to stop by. Our server was friendly but that was the highlight of our dinner. I wasn't really blown away by the food. We were going to order the white fish plate but found out it's imported and not local. Plus I had never heard of that fish before. I ended up getting the bourbon salmon. It was okay. The mashed potatoes with white gravy where pretty good. We also ordered the grilled chicken with grilled shrimp. The shrimp was good. The black beans were pretty good. Overall it was kind of a meh experience that had the chain restaurant taste to it. I didn't love all of what I tried but it wasn't awful. read more

The bartender handling the to go orders was very friendly and helpful. However, one of my guests had her food brought out to her and they didn't bring her sweet tea, so she had to go back in the restaurant to get it, we were curbside after ordering in person. The portions of the sides are extremely small compared to what the my used to be. The extra side of green beans I purchased with my 8 oz steak and ribs dinner had only 10 half pieces of what did not look like green beans at all. We requested 57 steak sauce and did not get it. My daughter had the 6 oz sirloin and her steak was very chewy as well. I am not one to complain, but this Just was not worth the amount of money spent when we are on vacation. Again... I rarely review "chain" restaurants but when one stands out, good or bad, I like to let people know. For a chain, I was impressed with the menu. Of course.. the food, pictures, and descriptions can be considered "puffery" so one must proceed with caution. However, everyone in my party was very pleasantly pleased by the quality of the food provided. I had the Cajun Pasta and loved it. Another friend of mine had a burger and was impressed. The service was relatively prompt, the restaurant provided a nice atmosphere that made us comfortable, and the food was delicious. I'm not "dinging" the place for this but it's just a warning: they have one of those bizarre "Art Deco" sinks in the bathroom that you have to have a degree in engineering to figure out and a minor in Interpretive dance to make water flow. I've been going to cheddars since high school, and while I typically frequent the Tampa location I thought I would visit the location in Pensacola as well while on a short vacation. I started off with the spiked strawberry lemonade. Delicious! Then my boyfriend and I shared the onion rings. We also ordered the Asian salad and the lemon pepper chicken. They were all very tasty, and the service was as usual, on point. I'm not going to lie though, half of the reasons why I order the salads is because of the honey butter croissant that accompanies the meal. I love the food here, however this restaurant has some issues. I normally sit at the bar to eat because I usually go out alone at lunch however, over the last year that I have been going to this location and they have a problem. The bartender in a very very busy restaurant handles all of the seats at the bar a couple of tables, all of the to-go orders, and drinks for the entire restaurant. Not her fault, it is too much for one person. It makes the service very slow. They won't even allow bus persons to clear the dirty dishes at the bar! Are you serious? The bar is the most profitable area of a restaurant. You overburdened the bar and the prophets of the restaurant go down. That's a fact. I have also sat at tables, never got the second drink because they did not ask, also because the first came so slow there wasn't time to get a second. And I would have gotten a second. Loved the server, for what she was dealt, handled awwsome. Why would you put a bartender at a very busy restaurant in charge of to go orders instead of the hostess like 90 percent of all restaurants? My husband and I were here tonight, sitting at the bar waiting for the two bar staff members to serve us and while both of them made eye contact with us, neither one made the effort to ask us if we knew what we wanted to order after sitting there for 10 min.
