    Cheddar's Queso Fries

The food was excellent. The buttered croissants were amazing, the cheese fries were delicious, and the ribs were tender and juicy. Overall, it was a great experience.

Best croissants and food ever! Excellent service and atmosphere! Burger is amazing and croissants are sooooo good!

We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food and taste. We were traveling through the area. We did call ahead seating from online. I highly recommend. They only give you so many minutes as we had to run in the door. It is like a Fridays or Applebees. It is not gourmet but was fine. They have discount alcoholic drinks. The garden salads were nice and big. I liked the unusual Onion Ring tower appetizer. My son liked the cheese curd appetizer. My bourbon burger was disappointed. Medium meant well done and no time to send back. The mushrooms and onions were minimal. I had to pay a add-on fee for the grilled mushrooms. The queso and salsa appetizer was good and came with a lot of tortilla chips. The pastry like croissants that they give you for the table bread was interesting.

I have been to a couple of Cheddar's locations previously, but this was my first experience at this location in West Virginia. This one is convenient because it is just off the highway (70) and very close to a huge Cabela's. I have had better experiences at other Cheddar's locations, but this one was ok. I tried the Cajun Chicken Bowl. It really lacked a lot of flavor and was on the small side. Our server may have been having a bad day or something, but she really wasn't friendly and did not pay a lot of attention to us. Overall not a bad experience, but not the best one that I have had

If in the area, give it a try. Basically, on par with typical chains that offer similar food. It's a meal. Nothing special. On the louder side. Accommodating to kids and families.

We used to come here all the time before covid. It's just not the same as it used to be. The meatloaf itself was a 1 star but the service and fish made up for it. The texture reminds me of a veggie burger. Very affordable and the fish tank is a cool feature, but besides that, nothing special.

Always consistent, always great! Burgers, ribs, Chicken Fried Steak, just great American food. For a snack, they bring out croissants, topped with honey butter, warm, fall apart, with the honey butter spread across, soooooo yummy! I got the Smokehouse Burger, a half-pound burger served with bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, sauteed onions. Of course, I always add Ranch dressing. Great burger, everything works great together. A yummy half pound burger, burger fiend happy! A side of seasoned fries, and an extra side of beer battered awesome Onion Rings. Cajun and Ranch for dipping. Always worth the trip!

I already started eating my salad when I thought to take a picture I requested no cheese and the salad came through just as I requested.

My husband and I are passing through the area and stopped here on Memorial Day at about 5:15 PM. A number of cars were in the parking lot and I was concerned there'd be a wait. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, who sat us immediately at a cozy booth. As soon as we sat down our waitress, Iris, arrived and took our drink order. When she returned, she gave some recommendations on the menu. I had the grilled chicken pecan salad and was very happy with my choice. The chicken was very moist and tender. The salad greens were fresh and the dressing that came with it. A honey mustard was perfect. There is a kiosk at the table and my husband and I played one or two games . We were surprised there was a $2.99 charge. The first game was already in progress and we started it on the fifth question out of 10 we then played one more game. Frankly, we didn't notice there was a fee for the initial games like that, but we probably just didn't look at it closely, but just for others to be aware so they're not surprised by the charge.

The food was so so. Had the monte crisco. Fries were cold. The toasted coconut mule was very good. The only reason I gave 3 stars.

Ask the Community - Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

What time is best without as much crowd for dinner?

I'm not sure about the location, but as someone who works in a bar & grill, I can confidently say that anywhere from 3-4 is generally a slower time for a restaurant..... Or from 830 on.

This is currently one of my favorite brunch spots, for two reasons: the food and drinks are…read moredelicious, and it's easy to coordinate a family/group outing here. More about the food: Tupelo Honey serves "Southern comfort food with a creative twist" (their words). This is not the place to go if you're looking for lite bites. This IS the place to go if you're looking for a hearty and mouthwatering meal. I've been here a few times and have sampled the fried green tomatoes, the garden harvest omelet, the chicken and waffles, and one sandwich (no longer available) that was clearly inspired by the Po Boy but was not a classic Po Boy (since it didn't include shrimp). It's all tasted phenomenal! Drink-wise, you won't be left wanting - Tupelo serves cocktails (some "standing" and some seasonal), mocktails, wine, beer, and a handful of coffee options. They're all absolutely delicious. I will say, the last time I dined here, I opted to go all in on the coffee. I started with an iced mocha, then had their 'not another espresso martini' with my meal. The mocha was one of the best I've ever had, full stop. Tupelo makes theirs with dark chocolate and oat milk, and as long as it's on their menu, I plan to order it again and again! Speaking of: I mentioned that it's easy to coordinate an outing here. Tupelo lets you make reservations directly through their website for parties of various sizes. I've dined here with a smaller group (immediate family) as well as with a larger group (a Meetup-style organization). Each time, Tupelo had a table waiting for us and we were welcomed by some of the nicest staff I've ever interacted with in a restaurant. I always tip well, partly because they've always been super attentive, but also because their humor and smiles put me in a better mood. This is definitely a team that's good at their jobs! This place is an easy 5 out of 5 for me. The only bummer is that there is no free parking near Tupelo, but the food is good enough that I'm willing to deal with that downside and come back again and again...hungry and ready for more!

Now, I am going to take you on a journey just like the books Belle read so strap in. We had a 5:45 PM reservation, and even arrived a few minutes early. The hostess/employee (I don't want to assume positions) took me upstairs for a table right by the window, which will be an awesome view when the construction finishes. It was also a beautiful sight of that part of the city as-is. When I was seated, I was one of a few tables seated. It was not full or even busy at that time. Also, as we were seated, we were given waters. My friend joined me about 5-7 minutes after the reservation time. We then ordered our drinks at about 6:00/6:05 PM. From there, we waited and did not meet our waiter, who will be referred to as sweet baby angel Max from here on out, until about 6:20 PM. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees at around this time. Our orders had some modifications but nothing major. By this time, many more tables were seated upstairs and others seemingly received their alcoholic drinks and even appetizers by the time we received only our drinks around 6:30-6:40. Our drinks were big, too, which is great, but that also meant we had to drink them a little more quickly due to the time constraints with the show. We were enjoying ourselves but noticed multiple more tables receiving not only their drinks and apps but also their entrees. Once 6:55 came, we had to tell sweet baby angel Max about our predicament. I will be honest and say we suggested for our drinks to be comped at least - not only for the wait and lack of courtesy with everyone else receiving their items before us despite our arrival and reservation time, but for the fact that we would have maybe 15 minutes to eat, finish our drinks, pay, take our food back to our cars, and make curtain time. What sweet baby angel Max did next flabbered our gasts -- he said not only will our drinks be comped but our whole meal will be comped. He also helped pack our food and kept it in the back so we didn't have to worry about going back to our cars. We made sure to tip him with all we had! We are so glad we did because when we returned after the show, he had the kitchen remake the food and kept it warm for us. When you go to The Eagle, ask for sweet baby angel Max and you will not be disappointed with him, the service, or the food. Because even when they may mess up? The Eagle gets it right with their classy attitude and positive treatment of their customers. You definitely have multiple return customers just from this encounter. Thank you!!!
