Great bar feeling and food. Overall, the experience was very positive. The service was great, food was better than expected and the venue was what we expected for a bar atmosphere. The layout was too sectioned and there weren't enough good positioned TVs for a true bar scene. Overall, loved it and we will be back. Ps - great iced tea! read more

If you like hiding in the dark, your not on a time schedule and enjoy being left to your own devices to get napkins food from the window or take care of your own needs.... this is totally the place for you. A bar that celebrates independence and privacy in the dining experience. This is your quintessential biker bar, waitress doing shots and keeping her tip money between her boobs. Visited on a Sunday at the end of a poker run. Had a great Bloody Mary with ample meats, cheeses and selected produce. Spinach artichoke dip (not great) but the fresh fried pita chips were amazing and a burger with bacon/ side of fries were the food we sampled. Fryer works and burger was good. If you go in to cheers with a biker bar slow paced mindset it's a great hole in the wall with standard bar fare. Enjoy! read more

Tried this place for the first time. My husband's Philly Cheesesteak was delicious, but I could barely eat my Reuben. Whoever made it did not slice the corned beef against the grain, and it was too hard to eat. Very disappointing. But, the service was great! read more

Just left Cheers for the first time visit and I was impressed. The atmosphere is 100% bar crawl vibe, but the food and service are high quality. I got two apps, and a Philly, while they got my pops got the Cheers Fried Chicken, they got his order wrong and offered to comp it. Very friendly. read more

What a Great Place to get a meal! The food is Fantastic and the price is more than fair. We have been gone from Lapeer for over 20 years and come back once or twice a year, Always hard to find a good meal worth the price. We found one of the best meals in town! Get the Burger!! Really great!! If you want fish-- get the Cod. A bit rustic and maybe a little less than fancy BUT it is the place to eat in Lapeer Mi. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I went here for lunch and the place was empty. The waitress comes up after I ask if they are serving food and hands me a menu. She proceeds to tell me that their soup of the day is a loaded bake potato chowder soup. I like baked potato soup so I said I would try it. When she brought the soup it was really thin and watery unlike normal chowder soups I've had before. The soup tasted like chemicals were in it and someone tried to mask the taste with a spicy seasoning. Needless to say I ate 1/2 the soup. End result, I went home and had severe food poisoning... NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT INTO THAT RUM DOWN DIRTY PLACE AGAIN!! BEWARE!! read more

I Was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was! Service was great, never felt neglected in the least! It was a nicely put together place. This is the best bang for the buck for a beer and a burger. Food is excellent, atmosphere is truly great. Monday is dollar taco day, they're great and huge at that. They do karaoke, have live music, and do a Bloody Mary bar every Sunday. We love it, and keep coming back. Lapeer's best kept secret is out in the open. read more

I went to Cheers in Lapeer with my daughter for some lunch (she's 17) thinking it was the middle of the day, it appeared to be not loaded with people (should have been a red flag) & thought we could get a decent bite to eat without having to wait for a long time. We say for 10 minutes before being waited on. We decided to share Nacho's. My soda was flat and tasted dirty or moldy. The Nacho's we're good but it took a long time, about 35 minutes to get them, and after about 3 minutes of eating there were fruit flies crawling all over our food. It took another 10 minutes to get our check. The bartender/waitress was polite and nice but not efficient. I tipped her the standard 20%. Could have been more had the service been better!
