It's one of the many pricey restaurants in St. John but one of the few worth the cost. Make reservations if you want a beach view table, but the view from everywhere is great. I think many nights you can also walk in and grab a seat at the bar if you make a game time decision.

You can see the boats and island lights at night. They also played great Latin music, of all kinds. The service was amazing. We had a young guy who was a local. He loved living on the island and shared some facts. My husband and I enjoyed the muscles to start. They had a very nice lemon white wine sauce and the serving was just enough. We were left wanting more to be honest, it was very good! Next we had the paella. I liked this paella, I did, BUT, it was not flavored as an authentic Spanish paella. I was disappointed about that, but I still enjoyed the dish. It was a bit spicy, more like scratchy lol, but had lots of seafood and the rice was cooked perfectly (imo). My husband finished with a unique vanilla azafran dessert. I guess they used the azafran in the sorbet and not the paella . I did not like this ice cream. It tasted like soap to me lol. My husband really enjoyed it. Overall this was a great choice for date night and we didn't feel like we were caught in a tourist trap, so win win for us!

I wanted to come in to pick a nice bottle of wine to share between my BF family for his birthday that day. We had reservations at a steakhouse on the boat but the wine selections on the boat were sad. Walking in, it was like we were transported back to somewhere in Northern Virginia. High-end finishing, wood floors, sleek lines, the appearance of a city loft with the high ceilings. It got even better when I saw their wine menu and the bartender told us it was happy hour. I picked out a bottle to go and the boys ordered some cerveza to enjoy. We cooled down from the air conditioning and felt pretty good about staying a little longs. We were hungry and trying to find places near by when my BF brother asked the bartender if they had food at Brix. We got a menu and were so delighted to see the ricotta and pita bread! It was the perfect snack for the three of us! We really enjoyed our whole experience here! Everyone at my BF birthday dinner enjoyed the roja wine we selected! It was a big hit!

I love when I get excited to write a review for a new restaurant I tried on vacation. This trip…read moretook me to St. Thomas, and being an island community, it also meant seafood, which I love and is hard to come by in Phoenix, AZ. The Fish Market sits on the beach at the bottom of the Elysian Hotel. While you can walk there, it's a long, winding road through the hotel grounds. While I want to say we were met with a warm island welcome, instead, we were met by a grouchy young lady who seemed less than happy to be working or enjoying her day. On a positive note, our waitress, Kieke, was delightful and sweet and a complete opposite from the hostess. As for the food, let me be honest when I say it was one of the top two seafood meals I've had in my life. I got the crab-stuffed grouper with broccolini and couscous. It was cooked perfectly and had a sauce that was delicious! At the end of the day, this was a great experience, and if you can get down to the restaurant (which is a hike), you will absolutely enjoy the meal and ask for Kieke and ignore the rude hostess.

Both were really good; the nachos were super fresh and flavorful with a nice mix of textures, and the scramble was light but still filling with plenty of veggies. Definitely felt like a good, balanced brunch option. The service was great, friendly, attentive, and everything came out at a good pace. The only thing that wasn't my favorite was the Bloody Mary. It had a pretty strong horseradish kick, which just isn't my thing, but if you like that extra spice you'd probably enjoy it. Overall, great food, beautiful setting, and a solid brunch spot. I'd absolutely come back (and probably stick to mimosas next time!).
