Flourtown Farmers Market feels like stumbling onto the kind of neighborhood spot you wish every…read moretown had! It's easy to get to, easy to love, and absolutely packed with real, fresh food made by local people who care. There's a free parking lot, so instead of circling the block or feeding a meter, you're already walking through the doors, ready to grab a coffee inside, thinking about what you're going to eat. When you enter you notice it's clean, bright, and thoughtfully organized, with each stand flowing into the next so you can wander without feeling lost or crowded. It has that cozy indoor-market feel, welcoming and family-friendly. On my last visit, I went in "just to grab one thing" and ended up doing what everyone does there hahaha, a full lap, chatting with vendors, then circling back with a mental checklist and a suddenly very real appetite. You start to realize this isn't a random collection of stands It's a community of small local businesses, shoulder to shoulder, each making fresh food you'd proudly put on your own table. Here's who you'll find under that one roof: - BABALOUIE BBQ - slow-smoked, tender barbecue that perfumes the whole aisle. - BECKS CATERING - comforting prepared meals and sides that make "what's for dinner?" a non-issue. - CAPT'N CHUCKY'S - famous for crab cakes and fresh seafood favorites. - CASPIAN GRILLE - Mediterranean and Persian dishes layered with flavor and spice. - FRUITS & ROOTS - vibrant produce, juices, and naturally colorful, feel-good options. - THE GRAND FROMAGE - cheese lover's paradise with both local favorites and worldly varieties. - GEORGINA'S MEXICAN - bright, authentic Mexican flavors, salsas, and a touch of Venezuelan. - KAI & KO - poke and catering, think Hawaiian tuna poke and more! The best variety of toppings in a bowl you customise delivered with a genuine smile. - LYDIA'S K-FOOD - bold, homey Korean dishes that taste like someone's grandmother is in the kitchen. - PASTA SENSATIONS - handmade pastas and sauces that turn dinner into a restaurant-quality meal at home. - POUR L'AMOUR - beautiful baked goods and sweets that look as good as they taste and cafe drinks. - SMELL THE CURRY - fragrant southern Indian dishes, rich curries, and warm, layered spices. - SWEENEY & CO. - fresh cuts of quality meat, the kind of butcher you trust on sight. Hours of operation: THURSDAY: 8:00AM - 6:00PM FRIDAY: 8:00AM - 7:00PM SATURDAY: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Between the free parking, the clean and bright space, the well-organized 3 hall layout, and the lineup of small local businesses making truly fresh, real food, Flourtown Farmers Market is an easy 5-star experience. If you haven't been yet, consider this your invitation!!! Grab a friend, bring a tote bag, come hungry, and discover your new favorite spot.

I went to Hawaii at the start of summer and had the best poké I've ever had. Let me tell you…read more.. this spot somehow does it even better! They source high-quality, Hawaiian-style fish. The portions are hefty, and the customization possibilities are endless. On top of the incredible food, the service is also amazing. The owner, Dean, even checked on me personally to make sure I was enjoying everything and that I was having a great experience. You can really tell they care about the quality of both the food and the people they're serving. I HIGHLY recommend this spot to anyone looking for high-quality poké that absolutely won't disappoint!

** The Poke Bowl That Had Me Saying "Aloha" With Every Bite **…read more Okay, I have to gush about this poke stand because WOW... it's like a mini Hawaiian vacation in a bowl. The fish? Grade AAA fish signifies a top-tier or premium quality, and you can *taste* it--so fresh it practically winks at you. The flavors? Perfectly balanced--savory, tangy, and just the right amount of Hawaiian soy sauce magic. Honestly, every bite had me low-key planning a trip to Oahu. What really stands out is how health-conscious the owner is: You notice right away that the drink menu skips sodas entirely (thank you!) and instead offers refreshing, wholesome options that pair with the food. The ingredients are prepped to highlight their most natural flavors--nothing drowning in grease or overly fried. Instead, everything is cut fresh and prepped daily, from the organic brown rice that's fluffy with a nutty bite to the sous vide shrimp that's impossibly tender. It all comes together in the most synergistic way. The toppings add the right crunch without overwhelming the star of the show--the fish. Every bite feels light, energizing, and nourishing without sacrificing flavor. And let's be real... half the fun of poke is building the "perfect bite." A scoop of rice, a melt-in-your-mouth tuna chunk, a little shrimp, some crunchy toppings--*chef's kiss*. By the time I got to the bottom of the bowl, I was already considering ordering another one. If you've been burned by wannabe poke bowls before, trust me--this is the stand that will redeem it all. Grab a bowl, close your eyes, and boom: you're on the beach in Maui (minus the sand in your shoes).

I really like the floral section and the specialty cheese area, they're both well stocked and add a nice touch to the overall shopping experience. There's also a Starbucks inside, which is super convenient if you want to grab a drink while you shop. Gionna & Nyla were awesome! Very nice engaging, accommodating and helpful, so much that I wanted to give a tip however they cannot accept tips something about being under Giant. Makes no sense to me. If they're giving good service they should be allowed toto receive tips. The store is clean, organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. The only downside is that it gets pretty busy, there's always a bit of a hustle and bustle, and parking can be tricky since it's right next to the Movie Tavern. Overall, it's an easy place to shop and very convenient. Prices are a little higher, but you get the selection and experience to match. Definitely a solid go-to grocery store.

I don't know if it's sheer luck, but I never have a problem here. I can always find a good parking place and the lines are rarely long. I decided to snap a few pictures so you can see how clean and organized the store is. Always well stocked with fresh produce , bakery goods and fresh meats. and the employees are always friendly and helpful. I love their salad bar too! If I don't feel like cooking, I can run in and make a fresh salad without a big hassle . I don't drink, but see a large selection of beer as well. I go to the gym across the street from this Giant, so I'm always in this neighborhood . They also have good incentives to keep you coming back, like the coupons they send in the mail that tracks what you purchase and gives you coupons comparable to what you buy. They also will give you 5% off after you spend a certain amount. I forget how much that is, but whenever it pops up and they say I get my 5%.....I'm happy! Their prices are about average compared to other stores with good sales going on often. Sometimes the convenience out weights the price for me.

There desserts are good and you get a slice of cake for your birthday! This visit, I picked up a slice of chocolate cake, a personal apple pie, almond pillow cookies, and their sea salt & vinegar chips. Let me tell you those almond pillow cookies are soooo good! They were definitely the highlight of my trip. What I also love about Fresh Market is the value. I spent only about $22 for several treats and snacks that will last days. These days, you can easily spend $16-$20 or more on just one dessert at a restaurant, so this felt like a great deal. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable whenever I've shopped here. The store is well stocked, clean, and there's a convenient private parking lot, which makes stopping in easy. One of my favorite things about Fresh Market is their weekly meal deals. They often have family dinner specials that include an entrée, sides, and even dessert for a great price (I believe they're offered on Thursdays). They're definitely worth checking out. If you're looking for quality groceries, delicious baked goods, and friendly service, this location is always a solid choice.

I was embarrassed to serve these to my guests so I had to redo the chicken salad and just skipped the egg salad entirely cuz I didn't have time to do anything except throw it away. Sometimes the people the deli don't even look at you. If they're doing something. They know you're there. They know you need something. They could at least say "I'll be with you in a minute."
