I called a buddy before dinner and told him I wanted something amazing. Not just food--something that had clearly been thought through and executed well. He rattled off a bunch of options, but none of them sounded right. I found this place on Yelp, saw the reviews, and decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. The menu is stripped down to the essentials: three burgers and three side options. Fries, onion rings, or frings. That's it. No giant menu trying to be everything to everyone. Just a team that has clearly decided to focus on doing a few things exceptionally well. The burger was outstanding. The smash patties had an incredible sear. The pickles were sliced paper thin. The lettuce was chopped instead of being a giant leaf hanging out of the bun. The sauce had a familiar Big Mac-style vibe but was clearly their own thing. Every ingredient was there for a reason. What really impressed me was the attention to detail. The temperature contrast between the hot burger and the cool toppings was perfect. The texture and layering of flavors were exactly what they should be. Somebody has spent a lot of time thinking about every component of this burger. The onion rings were hot and crispy. The fries were crispy, salty, and exactly what you want them to be. Nothing felt like an afterthought. The atmosphere fits the food. Simple, confident, and authentic. The staff had their own vibe, the place had personality, and nobody seemed interested in following trends for the sake of trends. They just make great burgers. I've already decided I'm coming back to work my way through the other two burgers on the menu. That's probably the highest compliment I can give a restaurant. Super fast waiting time for food, staff above and beyond friendly and great outdoor vibe. The hamburger I had high hopes for but really lacked flavor and the cheese was so sticky it made it hard to chew and swallow like like eating velveeta unmelted if that makes sense. All 7 of us loved our food! Some of ordered the cheeseburger, and some The Randy. Both are really solid, very good smash burgers. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out quick. The restaurant is open from 11-1 and then 4-8. It is an open restaurant concept, so be prepared for getting to know some people you may not have known. They have a very cool atmosphere, with great music playing. There is a reason this place has become so popular. I would say that if Cheeseburger Randy is reading this, there was a lot of whiz on the loaded fries. (T.G.I. Fries). It was really covered in cheese whiz and that is pretty much all you could taste. We tried Cheeseburger Randy's on a Monday night. The Randy and the cheeseburger was outstanding. They have patio and outside seating. You order at the counter and they bring out you food. You fix your own fountain drink. The onion rings and fries (order of Frings) are good. The cheeseburger was two 'smashed' patties, American cheese, shredded lettuce (shrettuce), thin sliced pickle and sauce. Sauce was almost like the other Mac sauce kind of like thousand island dressing. It is served with the onion rings too. The Randy was all that with sliced Conecuh Sausage on it. Really tasty and quite unusual. They have three different cheeseburgers, fries and onion rings on the menu. There are a few other topping choices and I noticed the have the Impossible meat burger. I had to go in and get the TGI fries! They come with jalapeños, cheese, the burger sauce, and conecuh sausage! They sent me with 2 forks like I was sharing with someone . All mine! It was like sitting in someones back yard lol. Very casual. The menu has only three burgers to choose from(that's all they need they do it so well) fries or fries and onion rings (frings). We got the Cheeseburger and frings. I will have to say that thecheeseburger was HUGE. Two huge smash burger patties cooked to perfection, cheese, a little lettuce, and lots of yummy pickles and special sauce. It doesn't need as anything else! First bite made my taste buds sing! Yummy smash burger with Conecuh sausage WOW! I think they replaced bacon with the only close competitor. After a long day of work my family of 5 were in out and happy with burgers Dino nuggets and beers for the parents all for $60. We will be back. AND best of all they are family friendly. Cheeseburger Randy's is a great new restaurant in Foley, Alabama that offers a limited menu, but the few items they offer are done very well. They only offer three types of cheeseburgers, your standard, one they call the Randy's (which has Conecuh sausage) and one with bacon and jalapeño peppers. They also offer either onion rings, French fries or a combination of the two. A limited menu, but again, their cheeseburgers are a testament to what a cheeseburger should be. There is no signage, so if I wasn't looking for here specifically, I would never have found it. With t h em being less than a month old, maybe they will be adding a sign You can either dine inside or they have tables out in the side yard of the business I chose outside and it was a great ambiance. The service here was extremely friendly. It truly added to my overall experience. I would definitely recommend Cheeseburger Randy's and I will give it five stars overall.
