The cake is moist and the frosting creamy and light with just the right amount of salt on top. Not dry or overly sweet. This cupcake truly tastes like a salted caramel confection. Best carrot cake ever! I haven't tried anything else from here because Im so obsessed with their carrot cake. I DIDN'T EVEN LIKE CARROT CAKE BEFORE CHEESY EDDIES. I brought some back to Buffalo with me and even got my roommate hooked on it! So now when she finds herself in Rochester, she always stops by to pick up some! The cream cheese frosting to cake ratio is PERFECT- the frosting is fluffy and subtly sweet and the cake is not overly dense with just the right amount of spice. The cakes come in several sizes so I usually get the rectangular take out size tin box just for myself; it lasts me for a couple days and stays fresh in the fridge! This place is Amazing, I won't be getting my cheesecake anywhere else but here, best cheesecake in town! I live about 20 min from here, worth the trip. I've been eating their supremely rich, soul destroying cheesecakes since the early 80's when they were located on the 2nd floor of the Monroe Avenue building that currently holds the Park Bench. Adam and I first tried something from this place at Yelps Burst Bash and enjoyed it. For our anniversary, I decided to get us a couple of goodies to snack on after dinner. Getting there is super easy and the staff was very friendly and patient while they waited for me to figure out what I wanted to get us. I got Adam a regular vanilla cheesecake blossom which is like their cheesecake cupcake. It has a graham cracker crust on the bottom and then the cheesecake on top. I got myself a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting filling and on top with peanut butter cups on top. My cupcake was amazing. So moist and light and fluffy and the peanut butter was not overwhelming in the least. Normally I don't like a lot of frosting but this frosting was so good, I wish I had an entire cup full on my cupcake. I felt like I was in utopia the entire time I ate it, I could feel my endorphins start to rush with excitement while eating this cupcake!!! Adam loved his as well. I tried a bite and loved it, I don't even like cheesecake and I liked it, that is how good it was. He loved reaching down to the bottom to get some graham cracker in every bite to add a little bit of a crunch. It took no time for his to disappear. My only wishes were for Adam. I wish there was more graham cracker on the bottom and that the blossom was a little more solid so it could be picked up. Lastly, I wish there was a little bit more variety with the flavor. I'm not mad that they do not have a ton of variety in the store front because they need to have things to sell, I just wish for a little more so we can have more options. Cheesy Eddie's is so quaint and cute, I love everything that I have had from this little bakery. I get so excited when I go to a small café and they carry their desserts. The key lime cheesecake is to die for, especially in the warmer months. The lime taste to cheesecake ratio with the crust is so perfect, and the chilled dessert will cool you down. The carrot cake/cupcakes are amazing too, I love the cream cheese frosting and the spiced flavoring. I have been inside a few times for coffee with a dessert, and the staff is always extremely kind. He got a raspberry swirl cheesecake and I got a carrot cake cheesecake, two of my favorite things combined. He got coffee and I got tea and we had our desserts there and stayed for an hour. The owner came and brewed my friend some fresh coffee and even offered me more hot water for my tea. The service and desert is amazing. I love this place! So I need to preface this review with the fact that I do not love cheesecake. It's not my go-to dessert, for sure, and very few can please me. There's something about the cream cheese part of it that puts me off. I also dramatically prefer flavored cheesecakes (probably because it's not quite as cream-cheesy). That being said, my sister, brother, father and husband all really really like cheesecake, so inevitably I have it several times per year. Cheesy Eddie's key lime cheesecake is very good - maybe my favorite. I also like the snickers, I think. Their original is good too (not my fav though). I also like the chocolate raspberry swirl one. The straight chocolate one isn't all it's cracked up to be, even for a chocolate lover like me. I would love to try the pumpkin and chocolate amaretto flavors sometime. Their carrot cake is ok. I personally find it a bit dry. I made my family participate in blind head-to-head taste tests between Wegmans Ultimate Carrot Cake and the Cheesy Eddie's Carrot Cake. The Wegmans beat Cheesy Eddies for EVERY panel member (there were 6 or 7 of us, I think). Even family members who had sworn by Cheesy Eddie's were convinced. How do I love cheesy eddies, let me count the ways! I've gotten a number of different things from them for business events, private parties and to just shove down the pie-holes of friends and family (and myself). My first venture to cheesy eddies was when I was in need of a carrot-cake for an easter-themed work party. I read online that they had the best cheesecake in town. Two sheet-sized cheesecakes were ordered and served to a bunch of customers -- many of whom asked where we'd gotten the cake from. Everyone loved it. My second cheesy eddies adventure was for an alice in wonderland themed birthday party that I threw in the winter for a friend. I ordered a number of their small deserts and they were all loved by everyone. Of course, there's also the National cheesecake days (awesome!) and the times when I've just HAD to stop in (usually with friend or significant other in tow) to get a Jillian's Delight (an oatmeal cookie sandwich with cheesecake filling that is TO DIE for). On most occassions, I've had a change to talk to the owners for a little bit while I was waiting to pick up my orders and they're a blast. I love this business and supporting them every chance that I get. I highly recommend them. They don't have a parking lot, but I've never had a hard time finding a parking spot along South Ave or on one of the side streets nearby. It's definitely worth the walk. read more

I wanted to try a slice of carrot cake, but they were sold out. I bought a carrot cup cake instead and it was vey good. It was very moist with delicate sweetness. The cheese cream on top was also delicious. I got the smallest full cheese cake. The texture reminds me of airy cheese souffle cake, yet the taste was dense and creamy.
