Her gumbo fries today (8/9/24) were on point. The gumbo "sauce" was thickened up to gravy consistency, complimenting the fries perfectly. The spice base was excellent. The shrimp were plentiful and seasoned just right. Real andouilles sausage was the perfect balance. As a side note, this is the small business we need to support. This is NOT a sit down establishment. You order online and pickup. Makes it perfect for Friday nights when you don't want to cook but want good quality home cooked food. With service, the staff was friendly and hustled. They were easy to work with, and adapted well to having never been at our venue and it being an old 90-something year old house. I originally…read morewanted to hire a private chef to come in and cook but due to the car and parking restrictions of the neighborhood of the rental home we were in, it was not possible. The biggest plus with this company is the prices are extremely affordable. And they are very accommodating to any budget. They were very open to any and all food ideas I had. I had 14 guests to feed, therefore had a few dietary restrictions, but we were able to work around them so that everybody still got to enjoy the food! On my initial call with the company, I was promised a setup with silver chafing trays because I wanted to avoid aluminum, as I was setting up for a formal dinner. I requested a contract specifically asking for this to be in it, which it was not. I also sent a follow up email a few days prior to arrival to confirm that this could happen. I only got a phone call the day before my event that this could not happen. I was disappointed by this. They did explain the situation considering it would be an extra charge and it would require drop off AND pick up. But this was never explained to me in our initial call which is why I was upset. I decided to just let it go. On the evening of our event, all of the food was delivered in the aluminum trays. After drop off, I noticed a part of one of my dishes was missing, therefore I had to call the driver and have him bring the final dish. This delayed our formal dinner by about 45 minutes. In general, the food was actually delicious. Nobody in my group noticed or even cared about any of the mishaps. It was mostly logistical things that bothered me. Every one of my guests really enjoyed the food. The favorite dish was a Braised Shortrib in Cianti Reduction. It was beautifully tender and delicious! I would say for a new company, I understand that drop off catering may not be something that they are used to. I would expect that having the private chef come in and cook would be a much better experience, but nonetheless we really enjoyed the food and the price was extremely affordable.

It was…read morethrough a Google search looking for a Vietnamese caterer who could provide a roast pig, as it is a traditional item to serve at tea ceremonies. Like literally I saw a roast pig nicely placed on a table with all the accoutrements and said outloud, "THAT!"  Upon exchanging a few messages and later chatting over the phone, I knew we found the right caterer in Huyen. We had our Chinese and Vietnamese families attending who have particular tastes, something Huyen was ready to take on. She was able to work with us on our vision menu and items we wanted to serve. Not only did Huyen go above and beyond what we were looking for, she provided TWO ROAST PIGS! Everything was delicious and our guests were happy. We continued to hear wonderful things about the food. Huyen was resourceful in a space that had constraints and I appreciated her ease in being flexible working with what was available. She is knowledgeable, patient, and so kind -- all the right qualities that made our wedding weekend so memorable. 10/10
