After reaching out through his website, he sent us a message to schedule an introductory phone call. He shared his professional background and then went through a detailed discussion reviewing our vision for the night, including timing of the event, likes/dislikes, options for specialty/seasonal ingredients, etc. After the phone call, he followed up with a proposed menu for a 5-course omakase meal, accounting for our preferences, which was spot on. We paid a deposit to secure the date. He checked in a few days before the event and day-of kept a good line of communication with us, providing ETA. He was quick to set up in our kitchen and then the magic started. He brought his own table lights, dishware, utensils, cooking supplies/pans, etc. He offers tablecloths as well. When dinner was ready, he announced each course, sharing how the dish was prepared. The food was awesome. Just simply awesome. Pictures won't do justice, especially since I forgot to take some as I was enjoying the food too much. He buys the fish fresh that morning and you can appreciate the quality of it.
