Stuffed Mushrooms
Matthew W.

We went to Chef Alfredo's tonight and had an excellent experience. It all started when Julia our server came up and introduced herself. She was recently in a review below and so when she came up, I instantly knew who she was. She was really friendly, really courteous and really knew about the food on the menu. She was a complete pleasure. We had the stuffed mushrooms, the bruschetta, the Caprese salad, the chicken Parmesan, and another chicken dish that I cannot remember the name of. All the food was delicious. The bruschetta was especially good. I would highly recommend anyone stop by who is looking for some great Italian food in Cedar City. Highly recommended!

Linguine Frutti Di Mare (4/5)

I got the Linguine Frutti Di Mare (4/5), which was pretty good! There was a ton of good seafood! The noodles were also good, although I wish there was a little more, and I was not a huge fan of the red sauce. The service was good (4/5), and the restaurant has a fancier vibe (4/5).

Lobster ravioli with added vegis.

We were in town and looking for somewhere special to eat for my birthday dinner. Chef Alfredo's was a perfect choice! We enjoyed the delicious food, charming ambience, and excellent service. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was lick the plate kind of good. Not that I did, but I wanted to. My boyfriend got the chicken Alfredo and my daughter got the kid pizza. Both had nothing but good things to say about their dishes.

We come to Cedar City to do the Shakespeare Festival for our anniversary every year and decided to give Chef Alfredo's a try. The decor was surprisingly nice for the location and it was very busy. The menu was quite large and had several delicious-looking dishes. We tried to tri-colored fried ravioli which was great. I had the chicken Parmesan which was average but good. The fresh bread and butter was delicious as well. And their desserts were just what I'd expect from a high quality Italian restaurant. The thing that detracted from the date the most was a comedy of errors when it came to service. The staff were clearly not trained in fine dining at all. To deliver the meals, they used this old rickety cart which made a huge racket and was completely unnecessary. They kept getting our table and the table next to us confused and brought our dishes, set them down on the other table, and then had to pick them back up and serve them to us. At one point a server dropped an entire plate and it went everywhere. Safe to say, their service was not smooth. Overall, for Cedar City, it was fine. Dining options are limited and compared to other restaurants nearby, this is still your best bet for a nice date out. But if they want to compete with bigger cities like Salt Lake City or Vegas, they're going to need to tighten up their service a bit.

Nice spot in Cedar City to enjoy dinner. The ambiance was clean with nice lighting and enjoyable music. The service was decent. The waiter was young, and didn't know wine, but nice and attentive. The food was very nice. The starter bread was tasty. The dishes, family style, were plenty and done well. This is my second visit and I'll return.

Chicken Marsala

We had gone to Chef Alfredo's in st.George and it was just so so. I had said I would try it again with something else so when we saw this place again we gave it a try. I had the chicken Milanese and the wife had the chicken Marsala. As with the last time the service was great and the atmosphere was very nice. We came at 6:00 and it was not super busy but by the time we left there was a line. I would call and make reservations if you are a late diner. This time the food was amazing. I had mine with the risotto and it was prepared perfectly. Tons of flavor. The wife's was also great. We will come by again next time now that we know what is good.

Came here for my 6th year anniversary. We are from California staying the weekend in Cedar City but mostly for Zion. We came for dinner and it's a very nice restaurant, very intimate and romantic in my opinion. The waitress "Lovely" is very kind and sweet. 10/10 recommend!

Carbonara with blackened chicken

Lovely and Jessica were absolutely lovely haha! Lovely was great in sharing all the specials on the menu with us which we ended up getting one which was the steak and the Parmesan crusted scallops with risotto. I will say it was great the only thing I didn't like was the crust on the scallops but I just took it off and ate the scallop. The other course we got was the carbonara with blackened chicken. I don't really care for the chicken with it, but it was good. We want to come back when we are in town to get the carbonara. Service was spot on! So thank you! Jessica left us with a silly little joke which I thought was really cute and showed her personality. The restaurant is pretty open nothing to fancy but very nice.

Not busy at all. Friendly service. Food was decent. Bread is ok. I tried the gnocchi, it was ok. The spinach on it wasn't great.

Consistently good. Parking is an issue though. Glad they are on Door Dash. The bread is my favorite in town.

The atmosphere is so fun, clean, and unique. I enjoyed looking around at the decor and fun artwork. The service from the staff was top notch! However, you're not…read moreexpected to be full gowned the house down, which I think adds to the niche of this establishment. The service? I would say is kind of awkward. Yes the staff are attentive, yes they care, but they look so worried if they were to displease you. Which kind of makes me think of the environment a little. Yes it may be adjacent to fine dining, but honestly, I think I came in during the crowd of snobs. So if you do dine here don't be a snob, please treat your servers with respect too. They're people too. The food? I wasn't as pleased if I'm being honest. I guess coming during a rush is a 50/50 and I got the latter part of that 50. For starters, my mushroom burger was unfortunately really salty. Like really salty. I think I got the burger that was cooked freshly, however, they're must've been a complaint that got over looked and so the staff had to like bum rush to get that order corrected (again, treat your servers nicely). I had fries and fry sauce with my order. However i did not like it. Like at all. The fries were crisp. Hella crisp. But the the fry sauce wasn't not giving. It had like some sort of minty aftertaste as if I tasted a hint of winter green peppermint. It was unfortunate that I didn't eat the burger. I literally took 3 bites and I was over it. The salt content followed by minty like fry sauce wasn't too much for me to bare. But like I didn't want to tell them it was that bad. lol again, they looked as if they were forced to ensure everything was in tip top shape or else something bad was to happen. As for the brussel sprouts? At first bite it was decent, the after taste was not. After a few bites, the brussel sprouts just started to become bland and sort of had this rubbery taste to it. I am not too sure what it was, but there was definitely something off about it. I think they should've added something sweet to counteract the rich dairy creamy taste to this. So that itd be sweet & savory as opposed to creamy and bitter. I enjoyed the ambience though, the service too. I do think this place could stand the test of time as to how unique it is. The staff are trained properly, food could get a tune up, but idk, it's just when you come in here you know this is some place you'd def see in New York. Though the rating I gave was low, I'm still going to go over here. I kind of plan to try everything on the menu, and to give these folks like 30 chances LoL. Because something about this place just feels like it could be potentially thee best dining spot, we as reviewers just got to find that sweet spot.

Its acidic notes in its dressing balanced out the fish & rice. I don't really like avocado or cucumbers so I ordered it without that salsa. Don't think I missed out on anything. Only other thing I altered was to scrape off some the sesame crusting on the salmon because it did get saltier the further I ate. My Top-Shelf Long Island Ice Tea was really sour. I haven't had one in years so I'm not sure if that's typical or they were too light on the cola in it. My photo shows how pale it is which doesn't look anything like an "ice tea". Although my husband liked his Blue Aloha Mana Margarita (he had this the last time we were there) his Prime Rib Dipper was way too salty. And that was without dipping it in the au jus. He kept it to himself for most of the meal so it wouldn't spoil our anniversary but when the waitress came by with the standard "how's everything?" he finally shared it all. He's been kicking himself since then saying he should have just stopped and not tried to work through it. It will be awhile before he suggests we go to Applebees again. Since he had had enough by then and just wanted to leave, he missed out on their Triple Chocolate Meltdown which he had been eyeing since we sat down.

At home! I was my last day visiting, so we wanted to hang out at home. We ordered the lasagna, I know... Impossible as they are always out, chicken pesto, and the Positano - rigatoni. Even though we had them as carryout, the food is excellent regardless of whether it's in the restaurant or at home. The front desk guy noted how we were lucky, we got the last piece of lasagna! With that in mind, and all the reviews, we had very high expectations for the lasagna. Collectively, out of 5 stars, we would rate the lasagna a 4. It was tasty, and the white sauce that it was served with was delicious, we enjoyed that twist on the standard red sauce lasagna. For me, while it was excellent, I felt the Positano rigatoni dish was much tastier. We all agreed the lasagna, while excellent, was a bit salty for us. The pesto pasta we added with chicken. It was a very good dish. My son was a bit disappointed as he said it was very light on the pesto compared to the last time he had ordered it, it had a lot more pesto. I tended to agree that it was very light in the flavor, I would say almost an imperceptible hint of pesto. We were looking forward to a robust pesto dish. But it was still a good dish! We would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. Now for the piece de resistance... The Positano rigatoni. The sauce was rich and flavorful and delicious! Italian sausage was a treat... This is definitely our favorite and for us, the most flavorful. My son's girlfriend has ordered it previously, and we all agreed we understood the recommendation! 5/5. Although we did not dine in, the restaurant is beautiful, light and airy, a very open ambience. Next time I am in town for a visit, we will definitely dine in!
