This place was amazing and I did not want to leave. We walked in without a reservation and they quickly put a table together for us. (5 minutes tops) Their wine selection is great and not over priced. We had their Fritto Misto (Fried calamari, shrimp & zucchini mix) as an appetizer, Chicken Alfredo and Lobster Ravioli as our main. I really didn't want that lobster plate to end. It was cooked to perfection and the rose sauce was out of this world. 10 out of 10. If you are in cedar city Utah make sure you swing by. read more

We weren't able to go to the restaurant we had wanted to try so we went to this one instead. The reviews were decent and we figured why not. The decor was a little cheesy but it was fairly full and we took that to be a good sign. We ordered ravioli and gnocchi. The waiter was great and attentive but when the food came it was very disappointing. The ravioli was passable but not good the gnocchi on the other hand was terrible. It tasted like play dough in velvetta but honestly at home mac and cheese would have been better. We ate a few bites but sent it back. The waiter said he'd take it off our bill. Then the manager came over and tried the explain to us about gnocchi and how it's a very doughy pasta. I was polite but in my head I was saying (lady I've had gnocchi many many times and I know what it should taste like.) Then she offered us free dessert instead which I wasn't pumped about. The waiter came back and was surprised and took the meal off of our bill anyway. The whole experience was shady. If I'm honest the menu here is WAY to big. They should probably simplify and stick to the basics. If I were to go back (I won't) I'd order something really basic they know how to cook well and hope for the best. read more

Food and service were awesome! We didn't have reservations because we went early but when we left it was getting crowded. My husband got linguine and clams and said it was delicious. I found a hidden gem in Cedar City , UT. Wasn't expecting much from the restaurant considering that it's not a major city. Boy we were blown away by the service, ambiance, and the food ..OUTSTANDING. I have eaten here before and given rave reviews. Tonight Chef Alfredo's failed and embarrassed me. I had Italian guests from California and Florida visiting for the week. I made reservations and told them how good it was. Reservations at 6. We arrived at 5:50. Our food arrived at 7:10. The food was not even close to the quality I have had in the past. More important to get an upscale clientele they need to give the staff confidence interacting with customers talking chit chat etc... All the ravioli dishes are awesome. You could tell they're custom prepared with fresh ingredients. I would say chef prepared. The bread is great. The food comes hot and is presented nicely. For the quality you get for the price it's a very good deal.. The services is also great. I haven't tried the other dishes, but I'm sure they're wonderful. read more

I literally could not be more pleased. We are visiting from Idaho and I simply researched fine dining in Cedar city and it let us to this place.. as we first drove up, we were a little intimidated by the fact that it appears to be in a strip mall next to a tattoo parlor. However, the environment once inside was perfect. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was incredible. My wife had the salmon with pasta and she is a pretty big critique of salmon dishes, and said this was the best she's ever had. I had the squash ravioli and only wish that I had a bigger stomach so that I could've dipped the last piece of bread in the sauce. I literally might drive back from Idaho just to enjoy this food again. We went to Italy for two weeks a few years ago, and I thought this was the type of food we would get to enjoy every day. We were excited to try this restaurant. We started off good, the staff hustled to get our table ready, but then it went south from there. My husband's salad was brought out but not a word about my soup. I asked for butter for the bread, but no butter or soup came out. We finally got someone to come back to the table, they brought butter. Finally the waiter came to the table after we snagged him from another table. The soup was delayed, but what gets me is that we had to ask, we weren't kept updated on the delay. Dinner came out and I was told the soup would be coming up shortly. I asked them to cancel it. Dinner was ok, not great but not bad either. We weren't offered Parmigiana on top of our pastas. We asked another wait staff after she offered fresh Parm to her table to give us some. We are driving cross country and looking for a nice place to eat. My wife spotted Alfredo's on Yelp and we gave it a try. It was a great choice. When you first step inside you notice how bright, clean and nicely decorated it was. The help was very pleasant, efficient and attentive without interrupting. My wife had the 3 cheese ravioli in Marinara sauce and I had Linguine frutti del Mare. My wife loved the ravioli and I thought my dish was the best I had since I visited Italy a few years ago. The fish, clams, squid, muscles and octopus were all done perfect - none of the seafood was overdone and the sauce they were in was excellent. Our server was amazing. Young woman with long dark hair. Didn't get her name. We have a daughter with CELIAC and while they are not certified gluten free, our server was well versed in gluten free and told us they have GF pasta. Their Alfredo sauce is gluten free too Because they don't make it with flower but with corn starch so that surprised us. You can also get Filet Mignon Gluten Free. My husband got that but he didn't love the flavor of the meat. They didn't cook it the way he liked but he did not like the flavor. It didn't seem like Filet Mignon to him. He liked the place though. My daughter and I loved our pastas and salads. My dad liked his lamb. My father has been to this place a lot and really likes it. Our younger children were happy with their gluten free pasta. We didn't try the dessert as we were all stuffed from the generous portions. The butternut squash was a little sweeter than I am used to but it was fine. My husband said the Risotto only seemed like rice and not Risotto. The conclusion: food is ok. Not amazing. The staff was wonderful. Good place for families. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life and, believe me, I have had a lot of restaurant experiences!! First off, it's my husband's birthday. We didn't even bother telling them it was a special event because from the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be awful. The waitress told us so...in a very awkward and annoyingly gleeful way. We were seated at about 7:00pm. About 15 minutes later, the server finally showed up to take our drink orders. We didn't get those drinks until another 15 minutes had elapsed. We ordered food for our party of 7. We waited for that food for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Well actually, my salad with salmon on top was served after 50 minutes but it sat in front of me for 20 minutes before our server noticed nobody else had their food and offered to take it back and serve it with the rest of the meals. Meanwhile, we sat with empty drink cups and barely a visit from any employee to let us know the status of our dinner. Finally I walked to the front and asked the hostess if there was a manager I could talk to. The manager didn't even come meet with me but rather went to my table instead and told my (maybe he was less scary??) husband our food would be right out and that it would be discounted. When the food finally arrived (except for my aforementioned salad, which they forgot about and had to be reminded) the chicken dishes tasted like fish. Good thing we didn't have any fish allergies in the family or that could have been even more disastrous than the rest of the meal. When they delivered our bill, they had given us a "whopping" 10% discount... And then charged us full adult price for a $6 kids meal we ordered. When we pointed that out, instead of fixing it, they said they'd bump it up to a 15% discount, which, if you do the math, made them still come out ahead. Dishonest, horrible service, and food that wasn't worth the money or the wait. Go somewhere else. Especially if it's your husband's birthday and you want a special meal. read more

We are in Cedar City for a cycling race, and had the most delicious meal here at Chef Alfredo's last night! The restaurant was quite busy on a Friday night and with a race in town the next day, and still the service was excellent and the food was wonderful. The salads and bread simply delectable, the entrees heavenly (fettuccini ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs) paired with a local Malbec blend and a Zinfendel (Seven Deadly Zins). For our meals, we ordered the rigatoni carbonara, a fragola salad, and a seafood pasta entrée. At the time we placed our order, we were told that it would take 40 minutes to get our food. It actually took more than half an hour longer than that (74 minutes, to be precise), which is ridiculous and simply too long. The food itself was delicious, fresh, and tasty. But the wait for it was much too lengthy AND far beyond what had been promised at the outset. This restaurant's staff members were making zero efforts to engage in COVID safety measures. There was no social distancing inside of the restaurant, no spacing between tables/patrons, and no masks whatsoever. That includes the service staff. In the middle of a pandemic, that is wholly unacceptable. read more
