My daughter asked me where I wanted to go for Fathers Day and I chose Chef Alfredo's. The service was very very good. The waiter was excellent. It was nice to see a upscale setting with white table clothes'. We both had the Cesar salad...but, I wanted to add more lemon and parmesan...which they gave me. You can see people in casual wear and even lower which does not suit the restaurant itself. I like to dress nicely and a bit classy and so does my wife Anne. I think the the buffalo Mozzarella was a bit strong for me but, I appreciated the chef uses the real thing. The pasta side with my eggplant parmesan was wonderful. The portions served amazingly nice. My daughter had the vegetable stuffed chicken breast which was cooked just correctly. I had some Italian sparkling wine, which I loved and we both shared the spumoni cheese cake. We, wife, myself and various friends that visit us from out of town over the past 4 years have always been super impressed with the food and service for the past 4 years. However they bombed big time this last time. We started out great. Bread was great and salads were as expected. Drinks were slow as server was busy but she apologized so no biggie. Dinners came came as expected and presentations were very good. We had ordered spaghetti and meatball for wife as she's not the adventurous type, and I ordered the Frutti Di Mare which is my go to 75% of the time. I do that because the Calamari is always perfect and the texture is like a perfect Filet Mignon. Not this time. This time they were like rubber bands. While waiting for the server I browsed the other ingredients and found over cooked clams and 3 DEAD mussels. Only item not over done was the fish pieces. When the server arrived she was sympathetic and took it back to the kitchen for consultation. Upon her return she said they would redo the plate. I accepted that, knowing the calamari is usually kept in a community pot after being pre cooked. It came back as expected, calamari very tough and clams and mussles over done but at least no dead ones. She, the server went back and then came back with the solutuion that they will give me a Pasta alfredo with chicken pieces in it. Pasta was way al-dente, the chicken was over cooked and sauce was oily to the point I had the texture in my mouth for over an hour. Up shot of this disaster is in spite of all the interaction trying to solve the problem, not once did the Manager stop at our table to discuss the problem or apologize for the cook put out by the chef/cook. I will give them another chance with the attitude that a chef will have an occasional off night and give the result here when that occurs. Hopefully it will have improved. read more

Really couldn't recommend. Didn't get the chance. We arrive at 4:50 on a Friday. Met by a lovely hostess in a full length evening gown. Three tables occupied. Asked if we had reservations - no. We were offered a two top at the crossroads of the front door, the kitchen and the path to the dinning room. Basically in the path of everything. We were offered on menu and asked if we could share a menu - I have never been asked that before - anywhere. We requested another table and we were told they were all reserved. Well, good for you. The table location, we predicted, would not afford us an enjoyable dinner. So, three tables full, every other table in the restaurant at 4:50pm had reservations. So we decided to sidestep the obvious stampede that must be coming in 10min to fill the tables, and decided to try elsewhere. Short story - didn't get a chance to try. read more

Delicious! Always excited to find places with gluten free options. My only regret is I forgot to take pictures. We stopped in Cedar City for the night and were thrilled to find this place. We had the Signore and Strawberry Arugula salads. We also had the Pollo Spiedini. All items were gluten free and very tasty! Other reviews mentioned gluten free bread but they said they do not have any. The gluten free pasta was perfect - not mushy or grainy. Wonderful when you have celiac and find something that doesn't make you feel like you're missing out. We will definitely eat here again the next time we come through. read more

I visited Utah this holiday season, and Chef Alfredo's was my absolute favorite meal there. Everything was elegant and beautiful: the table settings, the decor, the space. Food was sublime. So right from the jump, what an amazing apostrophe in the outskirts of Cedar City! Very welcoming! The hostess was very polite and professional, and sat us immediately. It's nice and quiet with authentic music playing. Our server who was very polite with an amazing attitude (Alondra) came over promptly and took our order, starting off w a glass of red wine, salad, and fresh warm bread. I must say were both exceptional! I ordered the Linguine Frutti di Mare and it's absolutely incredible! We also had the special with was Parma crusted shrimp and scallops which was amazing as well! Friendly staff. Couple of us had the Rigatoni Carbonara with the blackened chicken (coated with spices and fried is how I'd describe it). For me initially it tasted good but the saltiness grew - I'm not a fan of too much salt and I wished I had chosen the grilled option. The white cream sauce was good though. Others had the Fettuccine Primavera and the Lasagna Bolognese (both looked good and they cleaned their plates). My husband ordered a glass of the Twisted Cedar Moscato. Real small serving (1" in glass) which was not worth the $9 price. We were there around 5:20 pm on a Saturday. It was 80% at capacity throughout the time we ordered/ate/visited and I kept an eye out for nervous staff signaling we should go but they were not rushing us . Thanks team! Service was lacking the entire time. We had the lasagna and sautéed chicken carbonara. We would not go back. Lasagna tasted standard, edges dried out like it had been reheated. The chicken in the carbonara looked like it was delivered already sliced and frozen. Sauce lacked the richness of an egg based sauce. Looked and tasted like alfredo. I was quite disappointed with this spot, especially since it has such great reviews. I did appreciate that they were able to accommodate us after calling to check for a reservation just a while before, however that was probably the only exceptional part of the experience. The complementary bread was a bit dry and didn't taste fresh, and the entrees themselves were just mediocre. We got the chicken marsala with vegetables and the mushroom truffle ravioli with sausage. The vegetables tasted like they were from frozen, and the marsala sauce was a bit salty but also not that flavorful. The raviolis were pretty good although heavy, but I did really enjoy the added sausage. We also got the lava cake for dessert, which wan't really a lava cake but more a bundt cake with a bit of chocolate filling in the middle. While service wasn't terrible, the food didn't quite meet up to my expectations. Maybe it was an off night, but I've definitely had much better. read more

Ordered take out at 530 to be ready by 7pm. Walked in at 7 was told it would be just a minute. After a few minutes the girl realized she had no idea what our order was had to show our receipt got the ohh no look she went to the back and came back up front told me it's finishing up I then ended up standing there until 730. She should have came back and told me that they were just now making my food I could have gone and waited comfortably in my car but bc I kept being told just a few minutes I stood there like an idiot. No one came out to apologize or offer anything for the inconvenience. Don't offer a service if you can't actually provide it. read more
