In from Vegas for a quick getaway. Went down the rabbit hole of online dinner options and extremely happy we found this gem. Sergio was our server. Ask for him. He's worth it. We started with the stuffed mushrooms. Wonderful. For entrees my lady had the Lobster Ravioli. I had the chefs special stuffed salmon which is a composed dish and our daughter had the rigatoni Mac and cheese. There is a huge difference between the Chef Alfredo's in St George and the one in Cedar City. Beware of the Cedar City location. I ordered a salad and the lettuce was wilted and old. The nuts on my salad tasted stale and old. The fruit on my salad was gross and old as well. I ordered the a pasta dish and the pasta was WAY over sauced. Swimming in sauce. Also, it was watery and bland. The chicken was actually cooked pretty well, but the whole dish was SUPER hot. It was almost like it was flash reheated as it came out. It was so so hot. I cook pasta at home a ton. It was weird for the sauce and pasta to be as hot as molten lava. Our server was certainly nice, but you could tell she didn't really have a lot of experience. She asked if we wanted a dessert menu like 5 minutes into eating our entrees and brought our check immediately. Amazing dinner with great service. The restaurant offered indoor and patio seating. The decor was beautiful. The food was excellent. I was able to bring my own wine for a small corkage fee. We were so in the mood for good Italian food. I have eaten there a couple of times before and remembered liking their chicken limona. I ordered scallops with risotto. The salad was field greens that I think may have been unwashed. I got a crunchy dirty taste...let it go. The scallops were a C-. It was a tremendous disappointment. They were coated in bread crumbs and the flavor of the sauce was not exceptional. I would have used more garlic and more lemon. Had made reservations for 6:45 PM last night. We arrived a little early and were greeted by one of the staff members who stated our table was almost ready. She gave us menus to view & we waited outside on their pleasant patio for only about 10 minutes. Our table was inviting with a white linen table cloth and a silver candle stick that was lit by our hostess as we sat. Our servicer arrived to tell us about the specials and take our drink orders. It was unfortunately as a very slow process to get our drinks (a bottled beer & wine) and at the end of our dining experience the check! Meal however, came fairly promptly. Started with the Gorgonzola Salad: Romaine lettuce, gorgonzola, sun-dried tomatoes, cranberries, & mushrooms with a balsamic reduction, drizzled with olive oil. Good size & fairly tasty especially the mushrooms in it! Our daughter had the Linquini Alla Vongole: ( Linguini in Clams) Fresh clams with your choice of red sauce or white wine sauce. Served with linguine pasta. A light sauce & seafood delight, probably the best dish we received. My husband had the Vitelli Parmigiana: (Veal Parmesan) A breaded thin piece of veal with marinara sauce *SPICY*, topped with mozzarella cheese slightly bubbly & broiled on top! Served with pasta. Beautiful presentation, but average in flavor even with the heat! I had the Fettuccini Alfredo ( no meat): Fresh cream, sweet butter, & parmesan cheese sauce in fettuccini pasta. In my opinion it was very soupy (running sauce) that was extremely bland. I had asked for a side of the pomodoro sauce *spicy* which wasn't. It was a chunky tomato sauce that was just that. Nevertheless, in having that additional sauce it made my dish more like a vodka looking sauce in color- but not in taste! It helped give the meal a boost- yet still pretty plan. For the ambiance it didn't add up for us. We were seated in an area that we could clearly see the contractor had made many errors. Our candle was more than halfway gone when we first sat down for dinner. Super distracting as it was melting down the candle stick holder & onto the table cloth plus obviously had burnt out by the end of our courses. No attention to detail from start to finish: slow service to the average taste of the food. We weren't impressed with the experience or cost for what they showcase as fine dinning. read more

We are from Vegas visiting Brian Head. Decided to try a meal here as it has good reviews. We were very impressed. Service was good. Small but quaint on the inside. Caesar salad very very good. Dressed well. I had the chicken parm. Loved it as well as the marinara on the pasta. My wife had the gnocchi with crispy prosciutto. There was barley and prosciutto on it and it was very bland. My wife was happy after a heavy dose of salt and pepper. (I also saw people next to us heavily salting their food after they tried it). My son had the chicken Alfredo. It was delicious. And huge. For $6. I ate his other half for lunch today as well as my left over chicken parm and pasta, lol. We didn't care for the calamari, very chewy, and we get calamari a lot when out. But overall excellent food and will be back on our next visit through. We are used to Vegas prices, so for us, the prices were VERY cheap. read more

I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was so good I could not take a bite of my wife's tiramisu, although she raved about it, because I wanted to maintain the aftertaste as long as I could. We have been coming to Cedar City for about 10 years to enjoy the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Worth the drive from Idaho! Even better, a couple years ago we discovered Chef Alfredo's, I lived in Italy for a couple years and am, therefore, an Italian food snob. Hard to please me. Well, Chef Alfredo's exceeded expectations with the first and all subsequent visits. Authentic food, excellent variety of salad options, pastas and meat courses. We were a little Leary seeing this restaurant is in a strip mall, but we were pleasantly surprised. It has a fancy but laid back atmosphere and is great for date night. The staff was friendly and prompt and the menu had a lot to offer. The bread and Cesar salad to start was amazing. Visiting Utah, we found this restaurant in Cedar City. The setting was very comfortable and our waiter was amiable and made sure we were well taken care of. We ordered a signore and uva salads, truffle ravioli, lobster ravioli and a breaded chick breast with vegetables. The service was very quick--though it wasn't crowded when we came.The signore salad was delicious and well thought out with fresh greens, fruits, and candied pecans. The price was incredibly generous (only $4!) the lobster ravioli was well-cooked as with the truffle ravioli, and the chicken was served in a savory lemon-y sauce which was also great. I'd give this place a 3.5 but it's not available. I got the Frutti di Mare and the veal Marsala. Be mindful the prices on Yelp may be off. Per the pictures on Yelp, it should be $22 and $25 dollars respectively, but we paid $26 dollars each instead. With your purchase, they give you bread with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette which was pretty good. The Frutti di Mare gives you a generous amount of seafood and the calamari was very tender. However, the flavor was just ok to me. I didn't taste much of the white wine in the sauce, it was more of just a salty flavor. The veal's sauce was flavored pretty well but the veal was dry. I expect Italian food to be pricier but did not think this food was worth the price. We ordered to-go and asked for utensils but they forgot them. Good thing we checked in the parking lot. The boxes were mislabeled as well which isn't a problem if the group is eating together. read more

I don't mean it was good for an Italian place in cedar city. It was great, doesn't matter where. Had the (forgot the proper name) chicken with artichoke hearts and olives. It was really seasoned well the sauce was silky the flavor was full on. Bread great. House salad really really fresh and great. The service was wonderful. Me and my friends wanted some pasta after a long day snowboarding in Brian head. This place was great. Food was delightful as well as the service. I would love to comment on the food or the service or the ambiance of the restaurant, however they were closed an hour and seventeen minutes prior to the posted closing time. That translates into being closed prior to seven pm. Closed as the employees were in the parking lot, gathered around their cars. So cleanup closing items complete. As a resident, I have never been here in all these years. I will never go back. The perception of them closing so early is not something to be proud of. The thought that they started closing during the dinner rush must translate into there were no customers. I would think that the food must not be that great to not have any customers. read more

Been coming here for a few years along with our annual visit to the Shakespeare Festival. The restaurant is located on the edge of Cedar City off exit 59 on the I15. Ate in here twice and did takeout once already and this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Cedar City (or anywhere in Southern Utah for that matter). Every time I've eaten here the service and food were impeccable. The Fruitti Di Mare and Spaghetti with Meatballs are my favorite dishes, not stingy with the seafood nor the meatballs. The only issue I had was told the order taker on the phone I wanted mozzarella cheese on the side for my pasta, they forgot, whatever. Great location away from the Cedar City hustle and bustle , nice setting for groups. I'd make a reservation if your planning a night out with the fam, definitely worth a visit! read more

The server who took our order came back to check on us once and she never came back anymore. Came in last night with a group of 5 and didn't realize generally you need reservations. The place was alive and packed with people but the staff was able to accommodate and get us a table with minutes. The bread the bring to the table was really good and fresh. All the meals were top notch 5 stars according to everyone. By the end of the meal we were all so full that we didn't leave room for dessert which turned out to be a mistake as we were walking out seeing another table sharing one. Definitely save room for that because it looked like you would not be disappointed. Next time I'm back in Cedar, I definitely will stop here again. read more

Food came at just the perfect temperature. Not too hot or not too cold. We were impressed with the service and pace. Salt and pepper were perfectly balanced and no need to add on top. Perfectly cooked chicken with pasta. Chicken from chicken parmigiana was not at all oily or greasy. One of the best chicken parmigiana ever. My wife is vegetarian and her dish was even better in taste. Blends of cheese inside shell pasta were too good. We were not able to finish everything so the quantity is sufficient. Chicken Limone was cooked perfectly. Nice lemon sauce. It just has soooo much garlic it over powered any other flavors. Same with tortellini. Bread is delectable. Gorgonzola salad delicious with lots of mushroom and chunk Gorgonzola. We had 6 pm reservations (recommended). Service was slow. We were there 30 minutes before we had a server greet us. Once orders were taken, the food came in a timely manner. It just shouldn't take 145 minutes to be served and finish a meal. read more

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary. The squash soup was excellent. We had read about the ravioli before we went. My husband got the lobster ravioli and I got the spinach ravioli. This place is amazing. Great service, beautiful setting, and the food is so fresh and delicious. We got a cup of pasta soup, chicken parmigiana with Alfredo noodles and spaghetti and meatballs. This is a place where you want to eat the appetizers, entree, and still save room for dessert. We had the tiramisu and cannoli. Placed an order for pick up and was told 30 minutes. Arrived on time and was made to wait over 1 hour. After asking how much longer, got nasty attitude from both the hostess and take out person. Both went to the back and proceeded to laugh and talk about me. Loud enough where I could hear them all the way to the front of the restaurant. When I asked for a refund and a receipt, I was kicked out of the restaurant for no reason as the hostess continued to laugh in my face. I asked for management and was told they were away at a catering event. I called the St George location and provided al my info for a call back. I followed up the next business day and spoke to management since they didn't bother to call. The manager Andriano sounded less than interested. When I finally got a hold of the owner Gerardo, he was apologetic and assured me he'd follow up with me a couple days later. It has been well over a week and nothing. So if you want your spaghetti with a side of HS drama and humiliation, this is your spot. read more
